Upgrades for Elden Ring contains information regarding upgrades for the player's arsenal. Players can upgrade their Weapons, Shields, and Sacred Flasks by collecting their respective Upgrade Materials. Ashes of War can be used to change the Skills and Affinities of armaments but they are not strictly considered upgrades.
See the Weapons Comparison Tables or the Shields Comparison Tables to see armaments at their maximum upgrade level.

Armament Upgrades
Armament Upgrades universally increase Attack Power, Stamina Damage and Guard Boost.
Additionally, Glintstone Staves gain Sorc Scaling, and Sacred Seals gain Incant Scaling.
Armaments no longer require special Smithing Stones or Gems to change affinity!
Instead, players have the Whetstone Knife and Whetblades, which allow you to freely change Skills and Affinities.
Where to Upgrade Armaments
A basic Smithing Table can be found at the Church of Elleh [Map Link], allowing you to upgrade armaments up to +3.
Smithing Masters are capable of upgrading armaments to their maximum potential:
- Smithing Master Hewg can be found at the Roundtable Hold
- Smithing Master Iji can be found in Liurnia of the Lakes [Map Link]

Early Max Level Regular Weapon in Elden Ring
The best place to find regular Smithing Stones in bulk are in tunnels around the world. Once you’ve opened a map to a new place, you can find new tunnels by looking for a small black semi-circles surrounded by a faint orange outline on the map. It isn't possible to get a +24 weapon without clearing some dungeons (namely Leyndell), but you can get at least up to a +15 right at the beginning of the game just through exploration and avoiding enemies.
Starting from Limgrave, head up north to Stormhill and go to the cliffside southeast of the Warmaster’s Shack where many Trolls are hanging out. Make one destroy the stone statue in the area to get 5 Smithing Stone (1) and a Smithing Stone (2). Next head south to the Limgrave Tunnels to find 8 more Smithing Stone (1). In tunnels, Smithing Stones can be found on the walls or floors where enemy miners are currently mining, as yellow crystals on the ground, or on corpses lying around.
Exit the tunnel and follow the road going up north to Stormhill. When you get to the end of the collapsed bridge, jump down to the cliffside on the left and follow the path up to Liurnia of the Lakes. Head northwest to find 3 Smithing Stone (2) in a gazebo southwest of the Temple Quarter. In the southwestern part of the Academy Gate Town, you’ll find another 3 Smithing Stone (2) on a corpse near a Giant Crab. Head southeast to find a gazebo with 3 Smithing Stone (3) in it and around the same distance north among the trees is a corpse on a chair with another 3 Smithing Stone (3). Make your way up north to the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel to collect the rest of your Smithing Stone (2) and (3). You can find 5 Smithing Stone (2) and 8 Smithing Stone (3) there. You can also obtain the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing (1) by defeating the boss here to buy unlimited Smithing Stone (1) and (2) at the Twin Maiden Husk if you wish.
Head up north to the Ruin-Strewn Precipice to find 9 Smithing Stone (4) and 2 Smithing Stone (5). Teleport back to Limgrave and take the teleporter chest at the Dragon-Burnt Ruins to get to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. There, you will find 8 Smithing Stone (5). Head west and enter the Gael Tunnel to find 8 more Smithing Stone (4). You’ll have to interact with the Site of Grace near the end to leave. You can find the last 2 Smithing Stone (5) at Redmane Castle.
Upgrading your weapon past +15 will require you to progress in the game. Finding higher level Smithing Stones in tunnels is harder and you may have to rely on the unlimited stock you get from finding their respective Bell Bearing. You can obtain the two halves of the medallion for the Grand Lift of Dectus without fighting to take you to Altus Plateau. The Sealed Tunnel houses 3 Smithing Stone (6) and the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing (2) for an unlimited stock of Smithing Stone (3) & (4). You'll find the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing (3) at Zamor Ruins in the Mountaintops of the Giants for unlimited Smithing Stone (5) & (6). The Yelough Anix Tunnel in Consecrated Snowfield has 8 Smithing Stone (8) and you can obtain the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing (4) for unlimited Smithing Stone (7) & (8) by defeating the Godskin Duo at Crumbling Farum Azula.
The earliest Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone you can acquire is from helping Jerren at the end of Sellen's questline. You'll have to progress far enough to defeat Rennala at the Academy of Raya Lucaria and Radahn during the festival at Redmane Castle to be able to finish this quest and obtain the stone.
Early Max Level Unique Weapon in Elden Ring
It is possible to get a +9 unique weapon at the start of the game without defeating any bosses; it just requires some exploration and running away from enemies. From the First Step Grace, follow the road north to the Gatefront Ruins then head east. Cross the bridge to get to a cliff overlooking the northeastern part of Lake Agheel. Sitting on a chair on this cliff is a corpse with a Somber Smithing Stone (1) on it. Head back on the road and follow it south into the Weeping Peninsula. After crossing the Bridge of Sacrifice, keep following the road south to approach Castle Morne. After grabbing the map for the area, split off the path to the left (towards the southeast) and head down onto the beach. The red jellyfish here are guarding a corpse in the water with a Somber Smithing Stone (2).
Teleport back to the Gatefront Ruins and follow the road northwest. At the end of the collapsed bridge, jump down to the cliffside on the left and follow the path up to Liurnia of the Lakes. Grab the Lake-Facing Cliffs grace and make your way north towards the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Grab the Academy Glintstone Key from behind Smarag and enter the academy. Make a beeline for the Church of the Cuckoo Grace just in case you get defeated. Behind the altar in the previous room is a Somber Smithing Stone (3).
Run through the dungeon, past the graveyard, and onto the large waterwheel-like lift. Get grabbed and killed by the Abductor Virgin at the bottom to be taken to Volcano Manor. Instead of following the path here to the Subterranean Inquisition Chamber, you’ll want to jump down onto the lava below. To the left of the lava waterfall, is a large pile of rocks, and to the left of these rocks is a slight protrusion in the floor. If you jump to the left of the protrusion and surf the wall just right, you won’t take and fall damage and can run through the lava to a safe platform with a Burning Slug. Head southwest towards the ruined buildings and climb up the slope you see to your left to get to an area with many cages and cage lifts. Scale the roofs to the southwest to find a corpse with a Somber Smithing Stone (6).
Jump down onto the lava level and go back up the slope to the cage area. Head up the northeastern cage lift and to the right is a Somber Smithing Stone (5). Head up the stairs, making sure to avoid getting hit by the enemy here. Activate the bridge shortcut in the northwest to be able to reach the next smithing stone. You'll find a corpse on the balcony at the far end of the bridge. You can jump up there by jumping from the small iron piece on the side of the bridge to the chain wheel. From the chain wheel, you can then jump up onto the balcony to grab the Somber Smithing Stone (7). Interact with any Site of Grace in the area to be able to leave afterwards. You can be defeated to get back up to the ledge that leads to the Subterranean Inqusition Chamber Site of Grace.
Teleport back to Gatefront Ruins and make your way south to the Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Lake Agheel. Interact with the chest to get teleported to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. In the tunnel, you’ll find multiple Somber Smithing Stone (4)s. In the main chamber, head up the slope until you are able to jump on the roof of the central storage shed. Jump onto the wooden platform in the east and hop over the barricade blocking the tunnel. Go through the tunnel until you end up in a room with a ladder and wooden walkways above. A stone is found on a body on one of the walkways.
Exit the tunnel and make your way towards the Divine Tower of Caelid in Dragonbarrow. On a small dead branch just before you get to the tower, you’ll find a Teardrop Scarab that drops a Somber Smithing Stone (8) (careful it explodes). Follow the cliff here southeast and when you get to the lower cliff ledge, head north on this lower ledge to find a group of corpses sitting on chairs, one of which has a Somber Smithing Stone (9).
The quickest way to get an Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone is by doing Varre's quest. You will have to kill at least one shardbearer to progress his quest, but with up to 9 Somber Smithing Stones, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Finish Varre’s quest to receive the Pureblood Knight's Medal (you can get maiden blood from the dead maiden in the Church of Inhibition). Using it takes you to the Dynasty Mausoleum Entrance Grace. Progress through the mausoleum, running and doing your best to dodge enemies attacks until you reach the next Site of Grace, Dynasty Mausoleum Midpoint. From the grace, you should be able to see a large statue surrounded by many Albinaurics and a Sanguine Noble. In front of that statue is a chest with a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone in it. It may take a death or two to open it if you’re low level at this point.

Better somber 7 from early +9 is from the ceiling turret astel in the non-ranni quest line area of ainsel river.
You don't need any skips to get it, just a bow, lots of arrows and patience.
Considering the rarity of Ancient Dragon stones (regular and somber, of which the base game has 13 and 8, respectively) and the fact that they're typically quite out of the way/late-game/hard to find and are the only stones we can't eventually outright buy from the Twins, I find the final level of upgrading (+25 or +10) to be incredibly disappointing. It's literally just another level. The effort and time it takes to get either of the Ancient stone types, you get to that final upgrade level expecting something amazing...and nah, it's literally the exact same amount of increase as you got with the very first upgrade to +1 gave you.
If someone was insane enough to actually do it, you could more or less get EVERY weapon in the game to it's +24 or +9 level in a single playthrough with enough time and effort. But that final level would require like 17 NG+ cycles just to get all the Ancient stones to max everything out...again, you'd need to be insane to do any of that, but the disproportionate rarity and inherent difficult in acquiring Ancient stones absolutely clashes with the piddly bit of increase using said stones actually gives us.

i think if this page is gonna mention the smithing 8's in yelough anix tunnel it should also mention the ancient dragon stone there

If you want TWO early Somber +9 weapons, go to Lake of Rot instead of Volcano Manor in addition to Dragonbarrow. There are three sevens, an eight and a nine in that area.
- Anonymous
There's a quicker (maybe) way to get a somber weapon to +10 without having to go into Altus other than hitting the first bonfire and beating two bosses.
1) On a corpse sitting in a chair near the troll carriage with the greataxe.
2) Drops from the teleporting scarab near the glintstone dragon guarding the academy glintstone key.
3) On a corpse sitting in a chair below the East Raya Lucaria Gate bonfire.
4) On a corpse sitting in a chair near the entrance to the ravine in Liurnia.
Then hit the first bonfire in Altus. That'll activate the Festival of Radahn to let you fight him and bypass the Crucible Knight + Leonin Misbegotten Warrior duo bossfight.
5) There's one next to the stone astrolabe right before Radahn's arena.
6) Bossfight number one. Drops from the fallenstar beast in the Sellia crystal tunnel.
7) Bossfight number two. Beat Radahn and do Ranni's questline up until you take the teleporter in Renna's Rise. It'll drop you right near a fallenstar beast dangling from the ceiling that drops this one.
8) Drops from an exploding scarab near the Caelid Divine Tower.
9) On a corpse sitting in a chair near the base of the Caelid Divine Tower. You have to go down a ramp past the dragons to get to it.
10) Do Varre's quest all the way to the end and he'll give you the skip to Mogh's Mausoleum. Right before the fogwall for Mogh's fight, there's a group of blood albinaurics and a sanguine noble guarding a chest that has your somber ancient dragon smithing stone.
That's how to get a +10 somber weapon before Altus.

The Somber Smithing Stone (7) on the early max upgrade section needs to be revised. As of 1.10, that jump is not doable without using an explosion to help get you up there. But for that, you would have to take on the erdtree avatar in Liurnia of the Lakes.

im frustrated because i have got exactly how i wanna look and i know my armor is not going to be up to the task as the game goes on as im only level 36!

Honestly Somber weapon upgrades and normal weapon upgrades are so imbalanced cost wise
- Anonymous
Hey, quick question:
It seems that every weapon in my inventory (except the ones I use) got a free +1 upgrade.
Is this normal?
I have no idea what may have triggered it.
Hopefully the answer(s) won't include any spoilers, for other people reading here.
Thanks

Master Hewg won't upgrade a weapon that uses Somber Stones even though I have the Stones needed. Any idea why?

Hi, just a quick typo:
EARLY MAX LEVEL REGULAR WEAPON IN ELDEN RING - Paragraph Three, Sentence Seven:
"Make your way up north to the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel to collect the rest of your Smithing Stone (2) and (3). You can find 5 Smithing Stone (2) and 8 Smithing Stone (8) there."
- Should say "and 8 Smithing Stone (3)" not "Smithing Stone (8)".
Cheers.

What do they mean when they say “this upgrade can be enchanted or buffed by consumables” on stuff like the sword of st.Trina?
- Anonymous
how can they make occult so good at high level and quality so bad? it seems backwards.

quality? you guys actually waste your points on that trash? try either keen or heavy instead

Honestly this game has the worst weapon upgrade system in my opinion out of every Souls game. Especially when it throws you with an ancient dragon somberstone while you're just desperate to finally get a +3 regular. In Dark Souls, there were 3 different levels of minerals +the slab, which made it very convenient to upgrade weapons and you didn't have to look for a separate material for each damn weapon. Ofc I could just sprint past everything to get the stones but I don't wanna miss the content and mess questlines up. But everyone in PvP is twinked to death so if I actually manage to invade someone in like once every 2 hours, I don't stand a chance.
This ties into the problem with the whole reward system. Game constantly throws worthless junk at the player like arteria leaf, while the only thing you really want are weapons, armor, minerals and questline items.

How do I run sword dance on my partisan and make the infusion lightning? Right now all I can select is lightning ram to keep the infusion lightning, but I want to be able to have a lightning spear with sword dance as the weapon art.
- Anonymous
Kind of a shame that there is not a dual faith/int scaling infusion, akin to DS3's Dark Gem. Really limits the options for those builds to Sword of Night and Flame and... yeah sword of night and flame. Potentially a Sleep AoW could be such an infusion?

Doing normal smithing stones feels like a slog. I think they should bring back a more linear style so there isn’t all these hard to find locations. It’s quite difficult to upgrade a weapon fully without using the internet.
Maybe there is appeal in spending a long time exploring a video game world for some, but not for me.
Anyone know if the innate bonuses of the Sacred Seals also increase as it's upgraded if one is to wield it in offhand?
I have a lightning/dragon breath build in mind and with gravel stone seal on main hand... I know the dragon seal bonus will apply when I use dragon breath... but do I need to bother to upgrade the dragon seal if it is in offhand & just there for the boost?

If you're planning on playing multiplayer with random strangers, you should be careful about how fast you upgrade weapons. The matchmaking for both co-op and pvp is based on level AND your highest upgraded item. Rushing a high upgrade will put you in a tier where you'll never get summoned and you can't really summon anyone else unless they also went out of their way to do what you did. Not likely. Check the summoning calculator on this site to make sure you're okay with the limitations you're gonna be putting yourself in.

Is there any weapon that does more damage with 99str / 99dex / 99arcane on occult ifusion compared to 99 str / 99 dex quality infused?
- Anonymous
So am I getting it right that faith only gets holy (which the final boss is immune to) and flame? Is there even a point to picking faith over arcane or intelligence?

Availability of smithing stones is WAY out of sync with game progression. My current weapon is +20, but if I want to buy more smithing stones to upgrade another the highest I can get it to is +6. This doesn't make the game more balanced, it only makes it less fun.

can you upgrade the ashes of war on unique weapons, e.g. Bloodhound's Finesse on the Bloodhound Fang, or Transient Moonlight on the Moonveil Katana?

is the weapon level maintained if you change the affinity or ash of war?

Lightning is the only element whose weapon damage stat (Dex) is completely inconsistent with its spellcasting stat (Faith).
As if Lighting builds weren't cursed enough for having 6 Ancient Dragon incants that are incredibly hard to use at best or just outright not worth it, they also have to double-spec in both Dex and Faith to maximize their physical and magical Lightning damage.

The real problem is that the Lightning affinity doesn't increase the damage of Lightning ashes as much as the Keen affinity does. Magic, Sacred, Flame, Cold, Blood, and Occult infusions are all consistent with their spellcasting stats (Int, Faith, and/or Arcane), but Lightning is the exception as it's randomly Dex-based instead of Faith.

It's a shame there's no option for int&faith quality infusion, unless I'm missing something here

Holy should give passive regen, or at least kill skeletons immediately
Okay why on Earth do Lightning infusions increase Dexterity and Decrease Strength scaling? What does Miyazaki have against Strength builds?

It's interesting that Arcane is associated with Bleed infusions, since there is nothing arcane about bleeding

After getting Rogier's Rapier +8, which is a Normal weapon, to what level should I upgrade a Special weapon? Can I upgrade it to +3? Is that the equal weapon level? I wanted to make a new character and collect all weapons but not upgrade them and use that specific character for PvP and Coop. But getting Rogier's Rapier +8 will put me in that same matchmaking pool. So I was wondering to what level I should upgrade a Special weapon to stay on the pool the same as the +8 Normal weapons.

1) The linked URLs for some elements' Weapon Comparison Tables don't work. The desitnation URL should say "Weapon+Comparison+Table" instead of "...+Tables"
2) Flame Ashes of War's descriptions should say that it adds Faith scaling.

I'm doing a STR/FTH build and I was wondering about fire infusions. Do they merely lower str/dex scaling or do they give it E scaling (a.k.a. essentially removing scaling)?

Are weapon upgrade levels similar to ds3 between normal and special weapons? Would a +5 somber weapon be equal to a +10 smithing weapon? If I upgraded a special weapon to +9, could I upgrade a normal weapon to +24 on another build and transfer it and be able to pick it up?

FYI - if you include the upgrade fees, the total cost from base to +24 is 144,600 runes.
Filling out your inventory and storage chest with regular smithing stones would cost you 21,578,400 runes. For Somber smithing stones that number goes up to 215,384,400. You obviously won't ever need that many. I don't know how many weapons use regular and how many use somber stones for upgrading so I couldn't calculate how many runes you'd need to upgrade every weapon to +24/+9.

Flame Art adds or maintains Faith scaling. If you infuse Misericorde+25 with a Flame affinity, it adds a D scaling in Faith. If you infuse Erdsteel Dagger+0, which already has a D scaling in Faith, it retains a D scaling in Faith, but Str/Dex drop from D->E.

Fire increases Strength scaling. If you infuse Misericorde +25 with a Fire affinity, it goes from an E scaling to a C scaling in Str.

I'm trying to understand why only Sacred Ashes of War lock you out of being able to use the weapon buff incantations. I could understand if it locked out similar damage types like holy/holy or blood/blood, but a Faith build should be able to still use electrify, bloodflame, blackflame, poison ect... It makes zero sense to me

With patch 1.03, every regular smithing stone except (7) and (8) cost 1/4 of what they used to. (7) costs 1/3.75 of what it used to cost, and (8) costs 1/3.33...

Thank you FromSoftware for fixing upgrade prices, 482k was ridiculous

This page needs to mention which Ashes/prefixes disable weapon buffs.

No madness art of wars? Lame, I really like the frenzy spells :(

is there like a DS3 variant of blessed infusion? the one that heals you and prevents skeletons from respawning or something like that? i was thinking it would be ''sacred'' but the wiki doesnt seem to say so? didnt test sacred infusion myself

honestly it sucks you can't change a special weapon affinity

On a weapon's page, the upgrade tables that show damage values -- what is the "Sta" column that appears after the Holy damage column? See Battleaxe Heavy path for example.
The "Sta" increases as level increases, so I'm assuming it's not stamina usage. And bigger weapons seem to have higher Sta values on average (compare dagger to a greatsword)
My guesses right now are either: the amount of stamina enemies lose if they block it -- OR -- the amount of damage it does to the enemy's stance, which eventually results in the stance break that gives a free critical.

Regular upgrades should cost 1/5 of what they cost. Unbelievable that they are 5 times more expensive than special.

Has anyone seen any smithing tables besides the one by Kale? Sure, Hewg and Iji are cool, but it would improve my immersion to make my way towards a local table; not unlike finding alchemy tables in Skyrim.
However, it seems like Smithing tables go largely forgotten by players and devs alike. They don't even have a page on here...

Weapon upgrades appear to work the following way for weapons:
Regular: 5.8% more damage than the base per level of upgrade. (Rounded down)
Somber: 14.5% more damage than the base per level of upgrade. (Rounded down)
Somber adds exactly 2.5× more damage per level than regular upgrades. Both total 2.45× base damage at maximum upgrade level.

Is there a rot weapon ash of war? Would like to do a rot knight build

i wish there was a raw infusion that worked the same as in ds3, was a really good infusion for int or faith builds

Fun fact: frost, poison and bleed instead of stats scale with upgrades and weapon types...

Where do we see how the weapon scaling will change while upgrading the weapon? Lets say my weapon +0 and has a D scaling in DEX and STR. How do i know what scaling the weapon has at +10? Do i skill in DEX or in STR?
And my Ashe of War gives a D scaling in ARC at weapon + 0. Does it get a better scaling with the same weapon +10?

Can someone explain me why I can't upgrade my Reduvia to +5 ? It says Required Items: Somber Smithing Stone (5) 1(in red) (0)
I have those stone and I have the runes for it too. Thanks

There's an upgrade element called Flame Art which increases faith scaling and adds fire damage. Not only Fire.
- Anonymous
Something I did for funzies: (On my second character) I was able to upgrade the Reduvia to +9 before fighting any achievement boss (most notably, Margit). In fact, you should be able to do it without fighting any boss whatsoever.

Total Cost upgrades is wrong,
S1 - 9,600 Runes (12 Stones +3)
S2 - 19,200 Runes (12 Stones +6)
S3 - 28,800 Runes (12 Stones +9)
S4 - 43,200 Runes (12 Stones +12)
S5 - 57,600 Runes (12 Stones +15)
S6 - 72,000 Runes (12 Stones +18)
S7 - 108,000 Runes (12 Stones +21)
S8 - 144.000 Runes (12 Stones +24)
TOTAL = 482,400 Runes (not including cost to upgrade armament)
Cumulative
S1 - 9,600 Runes
S2 - 28,800 Runes
S3 - 57,600 Runes
S4 - 108,800 Runes
S5 - 158,400 Runes
S6 - 230,400 Runes
S7 - 338,400 Runes
S8 - 482,400 Runes

Do we know if upgrade level effects match making as in previous games

400k+ to fully upgrade a normal weapon as opposed to 100k for special weapons? Thx but i ll skip the endgame grind and stick to special weapons. I know the normal weapons have the ability to change skills, but that price gap is huge and needs balanced imo.
Lightning upgrade is a total lie, it does not increase base dexterity using at least for most weapons I tested it on. The dexteitry scaling actually went down.
- Anonymous
It would be nice to have at least one affinity for hybrid int/faith users, since the sword of night and flame is the only weapon I've seen that scales this way.
- Anonymous
Would it be a waste to upgrade a non-INT weapon if I'm going mainly INT build with Scholar's Armament spell? As far as I know upgrading is only for physical damage so not sure if an upgraded weapon would do any bonus damage with the scholar buff.

Just adding some random studies I did, since I was wondering how the math turned out with infusions.
For reference: currently, my build has 16 Strength (24 two-Handed), 18 Dexterity, and 21 Intelligence. I'm rocking a Lordsworn's Greatsword +8 as I run these tests. Normal Infused, it has 253 Standard-type damage (199 +54) when two-handed, while Magic Infused, it has 157 (148 +9) Standard-type damage plus 182 (148 +34) Magic-type damage.
The basic two-handed R1 against the Stormhawks in Stormveil Castle dealt 201 damage with the normal Affinity, and dealt 247 damage with the Magic Affinity. Additionally, a backstab against the spear-wielding knight right down the hill from Gatefront's Lost Grace dealt 618 damage with the normal Affinity, but 764 damage with the Magic Affinity.
I don't exactly have the time or energy atm to do more extensive testing, but at least by these passing tests, infusions do seem to be very much worth it if your build even slightly favors them (or even if it doesn't- I had effectively 24 Strength and 18 Dexterity with D scaling on both before the infusion, but only E scaling on both of those with D scaling on my Intelligence of 21, lower than 24, afterwards.)
I mostly record these tests because I hear concerns about flat damage/split damage being bad, the way it was in previous FromSoftware/Soulslike titles (Dark Souls 3 in particular comes to mind as an oft-cited example.) At least at a glance, this is absolutely not the case at all this go around. Affinity away!

Gelmir's Heroes Grave has both Grave flowers of rank 7 inside, as opposed to going to Noct or the City of Rot. I did not grab the values, but I do know for a fact they are inside the tomb, it is also a location for a Death Root, and Ashes Summon. So, overall, rather lucrative. Beware of the heavy lava and chariots up and down through out the dungeon. Otherwise the enemies are fairly basic skeletons, nobles, and pages. There is a Shade that drops the Mantis Blade weapon as well.
You can find the tomb literally across from the Grace Site and the guy that gives you the Comet spell.

Is there a way to infuse a weapon with quality, heavy, etc, without changing the weapon skill? I really like the skill of the caestus, but I'll have to change it up get the scaling I want, and that doesn't seem right.

WTF, maximum upgrade of a weapon is +25? This game might as well be a F2P grinding MMO. Does Fromsoft seriously think the player loves to grind? Just look at the lazy name of the stone, "XXX stone [#1-9]", I swear the Fromsoft is not even trying anymore. They simply think the more hours to grind = longer gameplay...

I can modifiy a broadsword to holy and infused then with holy weapon buff?

If anyone with an early copy could update this wiki for the full release it would be much appreciated. Is there a "Raw" upgrade path equivalent that removes all scaling? Is there a Faith scaling path? Chaos?

All weapons should become pkcs when fully upgraded because... git gud scrubs

Cant wait to have that insane Build of mine... A heavy tough battle mage with a Fashion Soul hint to the overall character look.... I can already feel how Diverse and Versatile the Crafting Menu and Ashes of War system would be next week ( And Farming the best Gears , Weapons , Spells , Recipes and Ashes of War would take me awhile to have my Final look for the Character ). Goodluck everyone on Launch next week , may your Journey be brighter than that Huge Bright Tree in the Center of the Hub Map in Elden Ring.... Let's get it Tarnished with folks lol Adios.
Ok who else think that Mike Wazowski should remove upgrade system from future games and make weapon damage scale purely off stats?
