Elden Ring Gameplay
The Elden Ring Wiki covers Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc, is a fantasy action-RPG adventure set within a world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki -creator of the influential DARK SOULS video game series, and George R R Martin - author of The New York Times best-selling fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire. Danger and discovery lurk around every corner in FromSoftware's largest game to-date.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, President and Game Director of FromSoftware Inc known for directing critically-acclaimed games in beloved franchises including Armored Core, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro Shadows Die Twice.
George R R Martin is the On the New York Times bestselling author of many novels, including the acclaimed series A Song of Ice and One - A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast For Crows, and A Dance with Dragons. As a writer-producer, he has worked on The Twilight Zone, Beauty and the Beast, and various feature films and pilots that were never made.
Elden Ring Reveal
- Elden Ring has been in production since the end of the Dark Souls III DLC.
This is in contrast to Sekiro, that begun production in 2015 after Bloodborne. - Elden Ring will release on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4
- Bandai Namco is publishing and has registered the Elden Ring IP
- Elden Ring Release Date – From our observations
The release window for this game is unlikely to match FromSoftware’s traditional March-April, and is more likely to fall into Dark Souls’ September-October release. - “Elden Ring is a third-person action RPG with a fantasy setting… gameplay is not so far from Dark Souls… Elden Ring belongs to the same genre.”
- Plethora of weapons, magic and builds, and a focus on RPG elements. FromSoftware expects equipment variety to be larger than Souls in this regard.
- No main fixed protagonist, players create the characteristics and personality of their character. This leads us to believe Character Creation is a given.
- The World of Elden Ring is vast and interconnected. No longer a continuity of “levels”, players see vast landscapes in between the “dungeon-esque” areas.
- The larger world scale allows for freedom, promotes exploration, and introduces new and exciting mechanics, such as Horse Riding and Mounted Combat.
- Elden Ring is a “natural evolution of Dark Souls.” New mechanics needed by this larger world. Expect FromSoftware’s trademark challenging boss battles.
- Towns won’t be full of villagers, merchants and the like. They will be ruins, dungeons and exploration hubs. As Souls there is no vast population of NPCs.
- The NPCs the player finds are expected to be the most compelling yet in the studio’s work, thanks to Martin’s involvement in the Mythos.
George R. R. Martin has written the world’s mythos and Hidetaka Miyazaki has written the game story. - Story will be revealed through “fragments of environmental storytelling” as in previous Souls games.
- Mythos and the present moment of the player are connected and exploration will lead players to understand why things are as they are.
- There is no information at time of writing about multiplayer/online/invasions.
A NEW FANTASY WORLD

Everything We Know About Elden Ring: Pre & Post Launch Content
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Shadow of the Erdtree Announced!
What to Expect in Shadow of the Erdtree?
Given FromSoftware's previous releases and the fact that the expansion is being announced more than a year after Elden Ring's official launch, we speculate that this content is a fully-fledged expansion meant to add significant content to the game.
Unlike the Colosseum Update, which featured content that had already been hinted at with the base game, the Shadows of the Erdtree expansion should feature entirely new areas, weapons, equipment, bosses, and discoveries. The zone features on the image for the game are already different than any available in-game at the moment, and it is likely to expand on the Lore and background of the world.
The expansion features its own "mini logo" which is often a signal for a large content expansion, but the main driving force behind the content size speculation is the amount of time that it has taken FromSoftware to reveal that the content is in the works. We estimate that they must have been working on this for some time, announcing development in Feb 2023, and expect a launch date to be revealed around Q2 with a release date for Q3 or Q4 2023.
Shadow of the Erdtree Speculations
The Erdtree featured in the cover art is bleeding Gold, which may also mean that this is a post-destruction story that happens after the Endings of the game. Zooming into the image seems to show ashes coming down from the tree branches, so it may both be a post-burning scenario, or a pre-breaking scenario when the Golden Order was first corrupted. The bleeding Erdtree seems to be strangled by another twisted tree - some speculated that this twisted tree is an extension of Godwyn's roots. The sky above the two trees is sunless - has an eclipse befallen the Lands Between?
We can also see ethereal structures on the field - could these be the ghostly tombs of the Haligtree soldiers who sacrificed themselves in a flash to guide Miquella's return?
Content-wise, an Elden Ring expansion would likely feature a considerable amount of content, and given the base size of the game, we would expect to see a completely new map covering about 1/3 of the area of the base game. Given previous Artorias of the Abyss and The Old Hunters expansions for other FromSoftware games, you can probably rely on seeing:
- New Weapons
- New Armor
- New NPCs & Questlines
- New Locations
- New Items, Consumables, Materials
- New Bosses & Enemies
- Possibly new Effects / Magic types

Elden Ring Story Overview
Elden Ring The Lands Between
The Lands Between is the world of Elden Ring, and those who live in The Lands Between were blessed by the Elden Ring and the "Erdtree". Those who were blessed by the Elden Ring are characterized by having a golden aura that can be seen in their eyes. However, at some point, some of those who were blessed lost their grace, were exiled, and labeled as the Tarnished. As time passed, for unknown reasons, the Elden Ring was shattered across the lands and its pieces were picked up by many of the 6 demigods, where they inherited different powers and have physically changed and twisted due to being corrupted by the power.

The Lands Between is broken into 6 distinct areas that are overseen by a demigod and feature a central hub that connects all these 6 areas. According to an interview with Miyazaki, players will have total freedom as to the order they want to tackle each area, and it is up to the player how they want to approach it. Apart from that the hub will not be accessible at the beginning of the game, which means you will need to progress the game until you reach the hub area.
According to Hidetaka Miyazaki: "The Lands Between is supposed to invoke this feeling of something that's very mysterious and very ethereal – and we hope that when players play the game, they're going to experience that."
The Tarnished in Elden Ring
In the official reveal trailer that was presented in E3 2021, you'll see a softly spoken, hooded woman saying "The Tarnished, will soon return." The question is, who and what is The Tarnished? Simple, The Tarnished is you, the player, you are one of the Tarnished that have been exiled upon losing their blessing that was given by the Elden Ring and the "Erdtree", a tree that hosts the source and life of The Lands Between. Very much like in previous Souls games, you are the chosen undead or the ashen one. You are then called back to The Lands Between, as well as the other Tarnished after the destruction of the Elden Ring to recover the shards of the Elden Ring, to make them whole once again, and to become the lord of The Lands Between.

According to Hidetaka Miyazaki in an interview: " I feel like one of the main themes of the game is how the player, the Tarnished, approaches or treats this new-found grace and this return to the land that they were once banished from, how they interpret this and the meaning. It's not just the player-character, of course, it's lots of characters in the game, who are all beckoned back and will have their own adventures and motives. We want the player to discover for themselves what that means and how they want to begin their adventure."
Combat in Elden Ring
What is Stealth in Elden Ring?
Stealth mechanics seem that will be present and may be useful in combination with backstab attacks, also the game may feature a night and day mechanic that may affect the stealth mechanic as well. Stealth as many are aware of, will allow the player to crouch, sneak, and hide behind tall grass to be less detected by the enemy. Stealth will play an integral mechanic in combat since you can use it to your advantage to sneak behind an enemy to instantly kill them or at least deal a large amount of damage from using a stealth attack.

Freedom in Character Build
In the trailer that was revealed in E3 2021, we see a lot of unique Skills, magical abilities, and even having a horse leaping up a cliffside, as well as attacking while riding your Mount. These are Skills that you pick up through the player's progression and exploration. There are some cases in that a player can acquire a skill by purchasing it from merchants or learning them from an NPC, but during an interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki that was featured, he stresses that in general, skills are hidden throughout the game's world, and it is the player's responsibility to discover these through exploration.

Elden Ring will have complete freedom when it comes to building up your character, you are basically free to combine your Skills with different weapons and equipment, and you'll learn magic as well. Skills are freely interchangeable between a large variety of weapons as per Hidetaka Miyazaki, and that there are around 100 Skills. With having fewer restrictions, players will have even more variations of Builds that are even richer than previous Souls games.
Elden Ring's Day & Night Cycle
Real-time changes are featured in Elden Ring in the form of the Day and Night cycle, as well as Dynamic Weather. These features also heavily affect gameplay, combat, and the world you are exploring. For example, in cases where you are roaming at night, both players and enemies will change in terms of aggression due to a decrease in visibility, and some unique enemies that only appear at night will come out.

Are there Covenants in Elden Ring?
Traditional Souls Covenants or Factions are not featured in Elden Ring. Elden Ring Covenants are instead player-chosen allegiances or pledges undertaken to specific deities or groups of NPCs. Based on previous titles, players can expect their covenant to affect their gameplay by changing their Online interactions, or by creating new situations where users can collect special items or defeat certain enemies to rank up and obtain special rewards. Rewards are usually Magic, Weapons, and Armor pieces.
New Mechanics in Elden Ring
Elden Ring will have a large scale in terms of the world and exploration, and to go hand-in-hand with this, some new mechanics are introduced such as jumping, yes players can jump now, as well as riding on horseback (Mounts). Hidetaka Miyazaki strongly suggests that you thoroughly search and explore every section of the world to find Skills that are hidden.

There are a number of choices as well that players can approach their way of combat, some may be brave and choose to go on head-to-head, while others would rather have allies such as being able to summon the spirits of deceased enemies. Our Combat page dives into the different aspects and mechanics of the new and familiar combat tactics for Elden Ring.
Summoning the Dead in Elden Ring
One of the combat aspects of Elden Ring is being able to summon Spirits that can help you in battle. These spirits are usually the fallen souls of the enemies that you defeat, and summoning them will have them assist you in combat. These are your offline summons, and it is quite different to have your friends or other players summoned to your session which is available in Online co-op play. What's interesting with multiplayer is that you can even set a password on your calling marks, so that this way you can just have your friends join your session, if you're more comfortable with that rather than having a random drop-in.

According to Miyazaki, "|These spirit summons, we feel like – as well as there being a large variety to them – they're a nice collectible hidden element within the game world to discover and to equip as you go. They offer a lot of different strategic options, but also the player might find that they just like a certain enemy tagging along with them, a certain summon pleases them aesthetically. So there's a lot of strategic and a lot of personal touch to these summons. And we hope that players will also enjoy discovering their own progression elements as well."
Elden Ring Game Difficulty
There will only be ONE difficulty in Elden Ring. The decision of FromSoftware to lean towards this feature can benefit both new and veteran players of this genre. Elden Ring features a large scale when it comes to its world and exploration, so it does make sense that it really is up to you on how you want to tackle the game, it is highly encouraged that players carefully assess the situation that lies ahead and to find different ways to deal with it. This also provides a good camaraderie within the community since everyone can share their experiences and hopefully help one another.

AnonymousAITA Accidentally deleted my GFs characters
Gonna laugh if this gets actually mod approved. Anyway: Me and my gf both play ER on my PC. Because a save only allows 10 character slots we have been switching back and forth between files. Mainly because I have plans for all 10 slots. She HATES this and having to switch back and forth because she thinks she'll delete the files on accident. About 2 months ago that did in fact happen and she overwrote my characters. I was sad but I didn't make a big deal out of it. Restarted and moved on.
This week the inverse happened, I got rid of her characters. Now her characters are largely 5 unfinished, ignored characters and her main one she does PVP on at level 151. She was sad but also not too concerned. She mainly was updet that she couldnt just hop on to play PVP for a few minutes anymore because her level 151 character took work to get to 151. I love my gf but her character was a mess stat-wise. To ease the pain I offered to make a copy of my saves that have atm 4 level 151 characters she can do whatever she wants with. However, to her this doesn't feel "earned" even though she doesnt want to play through the game again. Also she is arguing she no longer wants to have to switch files. Instead she wants me to give up one or 2 of my slots for her. She is being very pushy about this. I want all 10 of my slots though and see no reason to give in to her demands. I talked to her about writing a script that backs up both files in a separate location to avoid any issues but she won't budge.
AITA for not just giving her a couple slots when she could have all the ones she wants with a little more work?
AnonymousI want to nominate this award to my reformed orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton.

AnonymousElden ring is my first fromsoft game, and i have heard that the dark souls games are very good, so i came in with high expectations. After completing the game, i cant really say the quality of the game met what i expected. I knew when i started that these games are really hard, but a lot of the bosses attacks just feel like bs. Godskin noble for example, has two unreactable attacks, a 15 second cart-wheel attack, +input reading, +terrible arena. Not to mention all the duo-bosses that have zero synergy. Some bosses are really fun and are possible to learn to dodge all their attacks just by watching the boss, Morgott and bell-bearing hunter for example. The npc quests are pretty bad too, Not the quests themselves, but They are really hard to follow without using a guide. The rest of the game is perfect though, with beautiful areas, varied playstyles, and an amazing story. 7/10 from me.

AnonymousIf people in Japan complain nearly as much as here, I'll have to give huge props to FromSoftware for sticking to their guns. They basically didn't adjust anything about levels or boss fights besides some AI and hit box fixes. That takes a lot of determination, foresight and belief in your own abilities. Unless of course it's only the English-speaking community throwing a temper tantrum whenever they're challenged by the game.

AnonymousGollum should beat Zelda for GOTY. It would be Mega hilarious if it happened!!!

AnonymousI addiction to my previous comment:
I think the amount of dmg that bosses deal is the greatest reason why people hate them:
Let's take apostle noble as an example, For every single build that I have watched personally or challenge runs videos I have seen on youtube, 90% of use sleep puts followed by heavy charged attacks followed by a staggered attack, why? because the boss deals too much dmg, his fat roll is broken at hits multiple times and it is easier that way.
Or whenever I remember Theodorix's bonk attacks I always see to myself "Yeah not gonna happen" Then I make him fight with Octuopses out there and it is easier that way.
Or the reason why people hate Malenia's water dance so much is that it is ridiculous, it deals too much dmg, you can just take it, and you have to dodge it, that is why people used bloodhound step,
that is why people use specific strategies to beat some bosses, because there is no room for mistakes, you take 2 or 3 hits, then you will die
AnonymousMy only compliment is the amount of dmg that bosses deal to you, every boss can kill you in 2-3 hits, the only exceptions are something like Astal's teleporting grab or Theodorix's bonk which guarantees one shot you.

Anonymousthe comment section is filled with a bunch of Miyazaki's buttlickers when there are a good amount of explanation that why the bosses are bad

Anonymous
i hope armored core 6 will be good, im nervous cuz most of the AAA games that have come out this year are rubbish, heres hoping fromsoftware release another banger

Anonymouswhat if when you mended the ring fter defeated elden beast you get the elden ring as a great rune

Anonymousi took around 200 hours of doing everything in first journy then took like 30 hours to beat elden beast and every demigod in NG+

AnonymousDS1: backstab the game
DS3: R1 the game
ELDEN RING: L2 the game
I really don't understand the hate for this pushover boss. The run-up to the tree is pretty atmospheric as well with all of the corpses strewn about and the survivors resting nearby.

AnonymousI hope in the dlc we can equip the Elden Ring and fight an Ulcerated Tree Spirit that's being controlled by Miquella

AnonymousGames so rushed they added half the quests after the initial release

AnonymousElden Ring = the golden Ring after you beat the Iron Golem in Dark Souls 1.

AnonymousHey Fextralife-Team,
I want to thank you for this great Website and all your work.
I dont know people that play Elden Ring (they play other games). So this website is my only way to get a little help for this challenging game. Without this website i would have spent so many senseless hours in the game and still i would not have the whole game experience.
Keep Up the great work and thanx again.

AnonymousI seen a crucible knight outside of mohg's palace. Does anyone know how to get to it? Thanks

I finagled my way into volcano manor in search of the high prized Somber Smithing Stone 7. Ol’ FromSoft had the jump patched until someone figured a way out with explosives. Get the Ruptured Crystal Tear and add it to your spicy tequila for a good time. However, I’m not a fan of sticking dynamite in my ass so I went toe to toe with the foreskin noble. I knew if I wanted to grab the jewel right next to the edge, fatty and I would have to tango. I decided it was time to pull out the Swedish Lawn chair and get down to business. I sprinted at him like some kind of rabid monkey. Gave him the ol’ one two with some bleed damage, hold the bandaids. He got heated and made the ill decision to turn into a three layer cake. That’s when I threw some Go To Sleep ***** in a cracked pot right in the belly. Tubby went night night and then I used Rot Breath to get some scarlet stank on him. Then I just proceeded to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge for around one minute, that’s 60 seconds for you metric system folk, until the stank took him out. It’s not easy being an elden ring, but praise the message I did it.

AnonymousSo from what i'm hearing out there, dlc has been under development for years. If we learnt something from the base game, is that taking your time for your project usually results in extremely polished products. Now, with the info they gathered with the base game, they'll blow our minds once more.

AnonymousAn absolutely great wiki, thank you guys for that! I really enjoy browsing it just for fun on my days off for hours. But how about ruining it by unskippable hovering advertising videos that always stay on top? Guys, I know, money is important and I really don't mind a little advertisement, but that is absolutely annoying! Not good!

AnonymousI wish Elden Ring was just as epic as Lords of the Fallen. What a shame it had to be so unepic, not very cool Michael Zaki :/

AnonymousI'm curious how Miquella will react to the player when he sees that we are riding his dog the whole time.

AnonymousIs that Elden ring from the hit game Elden ring on the Elden ring wiki?!

AnonymousHi guys I have a question... Does the DLC start on the same difficulty level as my main character's NG progress? I have to know this before entering the new upcoming DLC with my NG+7 character lol.

Anonymous
guys... there have been DLC leaks... it looks like frigid outskirts... it has reindeer in it >:(

AnonymousHey, I can't seem to find if there is an entry on the whole "Someone in your group has become (Elden) Lord" thing and the unique buff you get and other messages when someone defeats a shardbearer.

If you're doing an RL1 run, here's a tip: Upgrade the spear.
Also, if you're blocking with a shield, you can still attack with the spear's R1. Not only that, but it will actually become faster and spammable. This allows you to get really quick staggers and do a boatload of damage with a lot less risk. You can usually kill phase 2 before he summons the raining skulls, which is fantastic.
Can someone update the "IS THERE ELDEN RING DLC?" Section pls

Anonymous
if you look closely into the new elden ring DLC post you can see in one part of the grassy area a PKCS, plz add to lore, thanks in advance

AnonymousKinda sad they didn't expand upon the Mound-Makers covenant idea from Dark Souls 3 (Don't remember if they existed in Dark Souls 1 or if they had something similiar). Basically you could invade/help others by either using a sign or the invader item which turned you into a purple phantom based on if you had Mound-Makers covenenat equipped. The meaning of purple meant you were an enemy of both invaders and hosts/phantoms, but you could put down a sign which made you a wild card for those who dared to choose you as a partner, since your objective is to kill anyone you please even if someone spawned you in as a "supposed" friend.
Once you killed a target such as an invader, phantom or host, you won the match. But this is what I feel was the biggest problem for me. I wish purple phantoms (Not Purple Invaders) could help someone in a boss fight, but also sabotage in a boss fight if the purple survived all the way to the end. But it would also be nice to be able to help if that is your wish. The downside of this would be that even if you do wanna help you might still kill your host-friend by unluckily striking at the wrong moment. The good side would be you are not forced to spawn in a purple phantom, but you can always be invaded by one.
I thought Recusants were going to be the "Purples" and Blood Fingers the "Red" invaders, but nope.
Anyways, I hope something similiar to Mound-Makers makes a return. Because the core idea is a brilliant one and I'd love to see chaotic the world could be with a purple phantom.
AnonymousI hope there's no expansion because I think that'd be funnier

Idk if I'm really not gud or if I came to this area too early. Found this place while exploring and I'm level 54. I summoned 2 players and they did way more damage than I did. I should have at least tried it solo first. I regret not doing it, even if I may not have been able to win. Considering the challenge of Siofra River, I went into this boss fight with no confidence that I could defeat it on my own. Perhaps someday I'll find out.

AnonymousElden Ring mfs be like "I don't have the time to fight the same boss a dozen times" then turn around and do 100 hours of asset-flipped catacombs. What you mean is patience, not time.

AnonymousI think I want to nominate this award to my Reformed Orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton. Thank you, everybody.

AnonymousHonestly, if there were no Legacy Dungeons in the game, I think I'd hate it.

AnonymousWhat makes Metroidvanias (2d and 3d) so interesting is the "mole aspect". That you dig your own path. Emerge in new areas, find new corridors to new abilities and new possibilities. In an open world this is non existing.

AnonymousSo, it´s a good game, but i like Dark Souls better, at least Dark Souls is not full of posers who claim to have played the entire saga and only knew it from this game in the first place, besides dark souls is not such an empty world, it seems that turning recurring enemies into bosses is not very good idea, really From and Miyazaki could have done better...

AnonymousPlease fix the up/down voting on the comments.
It being broken is making the site a lot less fun/engaging.
Anyone know what the gold circle on the left side of the screen means. Is it a gold rune?

AnonymousI enjoyed and managed to dominate ds2 sotfs and it's ng+ added difficulties, shrine of amana, dragon shrine and frigid outskirts are relaxing to me. The same went for ds1's crystal cave and lost izalith and bloodborne's yahar'gul and fishing hamlet. Didn't find anything specially challenging or frustrating in ds3 tho (well, aside from oceiros and his bullsht charge attack that annoys me).
I'm ready for everything.
AnonymousAnybody else notice that the up/down voting of comments for this site no longer works for any comments left from late September onward?
It can't be just me that is seeing this or is bothered by it.
AnonymousElden Recycling: sponsored by Greenpeace. Seriously, I had (still have) quite some fun with the game and generally enjoyed it, but the amount of rehashed bosses, copy-pasted dungeons and open world that's not exactly that open was, among other things, a pain in the ass. Overall, 7/10 for me. Also F*CK MALENIA.

AnonymousHas anyone else experienced a problem where comments cannot be liked if they were posted after a certain date?

Anonymousmiquella mustve been regretting that "get loved by absolutely everyone" strategy after he received a one way trip to mohgstein island

AnonymousThe reply function on comments here is screwy in my mobile. iPhone SE.
Also if I change my screen orientation then it will put me at a different spot on the page vertically
I have lost the funni guys, but with the help of your credit card number and expiration date, i can find the funny again, thanks for your cooperation. No dex allowed.

AnonymousWhile I really like the addition of the Samurai armor sets which open new avenues for light weight dexterity role plays. There are so many sets that are too crooked, twisted or asymmetric to look good to me.
The good ones for a classic yet majestic knight play are there: Gelmir knight, Haligtree/Tree Sentinel set, Cuckoo set etc.
Although, I were able to bring one set back that looked majestic, purposeful but also had an interesting twist to it(helmet shape), it would be the Eleum Loyce set.
On the other side, I also have worn the Ruin Sentinel a lot which had this sleek lightweight look.
Furthermore, I miss the existence of lightweight sets that bridge the gap between reinforced textile clothing like Sage's or Black Knife and the full-metal/chain mail look. The DS2 Forlorn set looked so good.
AnonymousI'd rather platinum bloodborne 10 times in a row than to slog through this horse riding simulator once more time

AnonymousI would like to thank fallen fist joven for helping my character valerian with farum azula and mogh the omen thx joven

AnonymousIt's a whole elden ring moment when you can enjoy the game your first playthrough because you're playing blind. It was really cool seeing everything for the first time.
But elden ring really isn't all that. WOw bomb drop, what a shocker to throw that out at the game of the year, the honeymoon face is over bro.
Me trying to play through the game a second time can be summed up by me trying to create a build, playing it for 3 hours and then getting incredibly bored because it's basically no different from the build I played before. I have 4 different characters going to through the game a second time because I got so incredibly bored by the limitations put on me that I just created a new character for that variation that I craved. The wonder of exploration does not carry me through the game anymore, now it's the combat system and mechanics carrying me and it can't carry me. It's so bland, it's so basic, black and white.
Here are my complaints:
-limited to only one ash of war if you don't want to go through the tedious process of two handing or swapping weapons mid fight
-your left hand is a glorified shield and catalyst holder with a meager addon for extremely basic dual-wielding
-there is not a single weapon in the game nor a single shield that can cast sorceries or incantations
-there are 309 weapons in the game, like 10 of them get used by the majority of the player base, 30 are hidden gems, 40 can be used in niche ways and the rest get outshined and or are completely useless. It's a terrible case of quantity over quality, reskins with slightly different stats. I wish move sets could be swapped too, or the limitations with ashes of war were lifted. You should be able to put spinning weapon on a colossal because spinning weapon is incredibly underpowered. Or you should be able to switch ashes of war on any weapon. Like why are crystal weapons locked from this mechanic?
-Craftable items are unnecessary, the process of getting them are not worth the time and they last to short of a time to be worth while. It's easier to just roll yourself to victory than to go through a process that potentially has no payoff.
-The balancing is garbage, using some magics and weapons feels like you're putting yourself at a disadvantage, aka thorn sorceries. And many others I don't care to mention, think of one yourself.
-It's incredibly hard to change builds on the fly thanks to the upgrade material drought. I've managed to work around this by turning off anti-cheat and installing cheat engine.
-Lastly the world is the same old in ng+, I don't understand why it's so hard to shuffle enemies or add new ones into the game in NG+. ds2 was better in many ways in my opinion, it even had iframes on backsteps. AKA combat variety. omg bring it back.

if you enjoyed: elden ring
you should play: bloodborne
no ps4?
AnonymousSo in elden ring we have the two fingers and three fingers, I’m hoping in the dlc we get to consult with the mythical middle finger and perhaps even the thumb

AnonymousSekiro, Bloodborne, Ds3 > Elden Ring, Ds2 > Ds1, Demon's Souls

AnonymousIf the Dark Souls I and Dark Souls II servers are still offline and an Elden Ring DLC comes out, i'm gonna be real tight. I'd much rather do invasions in a game where I don't have to make some op bleed build to kill gankers. (Invasions not duels)

I would never have progressed in the game without this wiki

AnonymousIt would be so nice if you could find a way to load your ads at the same time the rest of the page loads so your don't start reading for 3-4 seconds only to have the screen reformat and offset what your reading several inches down the page EVERY TIME you load a new page. It's annoying as F**K and reduces the map and text size to half of the usable area. I'm sure SOUL HACKERS 2 is the best thing since sliced bread, but come on...try advertising it in a way that doesn't make you want to scream expletives every time you see it!!!!

great, now souls is mainstream
