Additional Elements Added:

  • Added the function to send summoning signs to summoning pools in multiple areas, including distant areas.
  • When sending a co-op sign to distant areas with this function, summoning pools in “Mohgwyn Palace” will be excluded
  • Added the function to invade a larger area, including distant areas
    Added a new way to advance White Mask Varre’s questline other than participating in multiplayer invasion by defeating a new NPC

Balance Changes

  • Added the following adjustments to Greatsword, Curved Greatsword and Great Hammers:
  • Reduced the time it takes for rolling to become possible after an attack (Jump attack, dual wield attack and attacks while mounted not included)
  • Increased the motion speed of strong attack and charge attack (mounted attacks not included)
  • Increased Guard Counter’s motion speed
  • Increased the attack speed of Great Axes and reduced the time it takes for rolling to become possible after an attack (Jump attack, dual wield attack and attacks while mounted not included)
  • Increased rolling distance when player has a light equip load.
  • Increased the hitbox of Cipher Pata’s weapon skill “Unblockable Blade
  • Increased the range of Ash of War “Glintstone Pebble” and “Glintstone Dart” projectile while decreasing the damage and stagger power
  • Decreased the travel distance and invincibility frames of Ash of War: Bloodhound's Step while adding the changes below:
    • Reduced performance when used continuously
    • Increased travel distance when on light equip load
  • Shortened the activation interval when using “Quick Step” skill in succession, increasing its ability to circle around the enemy when locked-on and add the changes below:
    • Reduced performance when used continuously
    • Increased travel distance when on light equip load
  • Decreased the damage and bleed build-up of weapon skill “Corpse Piler” when hit with the blood attack. When hit by the blade, the damage is only decreased slightly
  • Decreased the target tracking ability of sorcery “Stars of Ruin
     

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug which caused some attacks of “Lucerne” to not pierce enemy’s guard
  • Fixed a bug which made it harder for a two-handed jump attack with “Bloodhound's Fang” to break enemy’s stance
  • Fixed a bug which caused the effect of “Determination” and “Royal Knight’s Resolve” to disappear after using the “Parry” skill with a dagger
  • Fixed a bug when dual wielding Axe and Greataxe which caused additional effects from Spells, Weapon Skills and Items to not be applied correctly
  • Fixed a bug when two-handing a Halberd which made it harder to withstand enemy’s attack after using guard counter
  • Fixed a bug which caused the physical attack affinity of some weapons to be different from the affinity listed in the description.
  • Fixed a bug which caused the player to become more easily noticed by the enemy when wearing “Deathbed Dress”, even when crouching

  • Fixed a bug that allows “Rock Blaster” to not consume any FP when used with a staff on the left hand and no weapon on the right hand

  • Added the “ERROR” text to unauthorized items 
  • In update file 1.04, we have fixed a bug that allowed players to pass unauthorized items that cannot be obtained in game to other players
  • After the distribution of this update file, possession and usage of these unauthorized items will be subject to warning or penalty after a certain period of time.

  • Items unlocked for purchase by offering Bell Bearings to the NPC “Twin Maiden Husk” will now carry over to NG+ play. This affects all items unlocked by offering the following items to the NPC “Twin Maiden Husk”: Bone Peddler's Bell Bearing/Meat Peddler's Bell Bearing/Medicine Peddler's Bell Bearing/Gravity Stone Peddler's Bell Bearing/Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing/Somberstone Miner's Bell Bearing/Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing/Ghost-Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing.
  • Added emphasis to the choice of the Sacred Flask and several other options that can be strengthened in the grace menu.

  • Fixed a bug that caused unintended motions to be played when switching to a different Sorceries or Incantations while using a sorcery or incantation.
  • Fixed a bug that caused FP consumption to increase when using the sorceries "Magma Shot" and "Roiling Magma" while riding a horse.
  • Fixed a bug where the “Claw Talisman” effect was not applied when jumping with the "Starscourge Greatsword" in both hands.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the power of two-handed attacks of the weapon "Golem's Halberd " – with the exception of the jumping attack – to be different from what would be expected.
  • Fixed a bug with using the weapon "Pulley Crossbow." When equipped with the left hand while the right hand weapon was given an attribute by magic or item, the effect was given to the "Pulley Crossbow" as well.
  • Fixed a bug in which arrows and bolts that did not match the type of long-range weapon equipped by the player could be fired by using certain procedures.
  • Fixed a bug that caused guard boost to be reduced when some weapons were strengthened to the maximum.
  • Fixed a bug in which the attributes of weapons could be changed while a player’s inventory had reached its maximum capacity and ashes of war could not be changed.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the boss "Malenia, Goddess of Rot" to have low HP under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed enemies to be attacked from outside the fog in certain areas.
  • Fixed a bug in online multiplayer where, when a boss is defeated in a host's world as a cooperative player, the same boss might not appear in the cooperator’s world.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the battle with the boss "God-Devouring Serpent" from progressing under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented hostile NPCs from appearing under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented an event with the NPC "Alexander, Warrior Jar" from progressing under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where the item "Sacred Flask" was not restored after destroying a group of enemies under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that under certain circumstances, after defeating the boss "Starscourge Radahn," the user could not move from the map to the grace.*
    *If you cannot move from the map to the grace, you can move to the grace by touching the grace "Starscourge Radahn.”
  • Fixed a bug that prevented found sites of grace from registering on the map under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented some graces from being able to be touched when approached under certain circumstances.

      Just started a new playthrough a few days ago. It's just sad what happend to this game! Spirit summons are useless now. Oleg dies nearly instantly in every fight. Non-Boss fights included.

        Sorry I’m getting back into the game after a hiatus. They ever fixed the bug in the catacombs where you open the boss door and you get attacked or try to attack something before the door message disappears you character locks up and can’t do anything other then run? That got me killed a couple of times in my last playthrough

          i think they shoot in their on leg with last update.. there were tons of people who liked corpse pile and bloodhound step in offline play like me.. and I just don't want to play it anymore.. I didn't update to 1.06 and I don't think I will in future.. maybe after dlc.. but why punnish offline players for using stuff they like just because some tryhards in online play? how is corpse piller such a problem but moonveil is totaly ok? Idk.. I dissapointed.. I'm glad I was able to reach ng4 before this.. I guess it's time for another game..

            Why the bloodhound step thing? Make the game harder for ppl with bad reflexes due to age or no desire to get good who want to play for a casual fun expierence. Just treat PVP and PVE as different modes imo or deal with it

              White Mask Varre’s questline offline completion possible;
              Greatsword, Curved Greatsword, Great Hammers and Great Axes buffs;
              “Glintstone Pebble” and “Glintstone Dart” stagger nerf
              Ash of War: Bloodhound's Step nerf;
              Corpse Piler nerf;
              Stars of Ruin tracking nerf;
              and Opaline Hardtear was actually bugged and not mistranslated, very nice.

              Overall really good patch (1.06).

                Has anyone noticed a big drop in the damage done by their spirit summons? After all the hype around Oleg I used his ashes to see for myself, but the damage he was doing was feeble. I would have done a lot more myself with the FP I used to summon him.
                It doesn't fit with his reputation as being one best spirit summons, that's what started me thinking maybe Oleg or all spirit ash have had some sort of nerf in the latest update.

                  Idk why, but ever since the latest patch (1.05) I'm having problems for my friend to summon me. We share the password, and he uses the finger remedy, but it seems like my sign never shows up in his world. Anyone having same issues?

                    I don't know if it's just me but the latest update made the performance on my xbox one a lot better. Much smoother and much higher fps. Thank you fromsoft for optimising.

                      I dunno if anyone can confirm this, but my cousin made the observation that spell buffs like Lords Divine Fortification and Lightning Fortification don’t stack now. Also he said apparently Golden Vow and Black Flame Protection also don’t stack.

NG+ i got the medicine bell bearing after the update, and the next time i loaded up the game, i got the message.

                            after the update i logged in and after about 5 seconds it would boot me offline and say inappropriate activity detected. i verified files and it still said it. i backed up my files and deleted all my saves and it was still there. i put the saves back in and it was still there. after playing for about an hour while in offline mode, i exited the game to the start menu to reset a dung beetle location and it let me log it without kicking me out.

                                      I read through every patch and really don’t know if there was a patch that decreased or limited the amount of golden rune drops from the humanoid bats. I was only able to farm them for a few minutes they dropped a few but then I spent another 30 minutes farming them and none of them dropped another one again. Hopefully the drop rate is fixed so I can help out my friends for levels.

                                          Left-handed held Dragon Breath moves still glitch out on their named variations. Cancels out early and has limited AOE spread function as a result. Real sad and highly awkward to keep planning around.

                                          Gimps the named line of Breath moves. Use 2 Dragon Hearts for the same damage but with more rigidity (and lack of horseback compatibility). Fix please FS!

                                            It has been awhile since a patch. Getting worried they gave up. Co op is still broken with crashes and signs not appearing at random times. Melee weapon special abilities still cost less than actual magic while being 100% better. Invaders still spawn minutes away from the host. Rune farmers everywhere.

                                              This game definitely does need a huge balance patch, some spells like the oracular bubbles/ flame monk/ servants of rot spells are pretty undertuned; but some spells ESPECIALLY when ganking or even in pve are super oppressive. Mainly the cast speeds of the comets and high projectile number spells like the rancors can be extremely difficult to deal with when people spam while ganking. An even worse problem are the two overtuned katanas and the state of bleed weapons in general. No weapon should be able to insta proc bleed but powerstancing cross-nagis/ uchis/ scavengers cs; any of these can insta proc bleed with the right build with running/ jumping attacks. Poison is another undertuned mechanic that needs some love, definitely not unusable by any stretch but hard to make work. The general state of the game needs a lot of work and is far from unplayable, but the amount of people who think they’re some elden god going around spamming the same spell or AoW over and over is clearly a problem no matter how you slice it. All builds should have some viability, and a couple weapons out of the roster shouldn’t be undisputedly better than the rest. But that’s simply not the case as of patch 1.04.1 :/

                                                      Right now there's a serious bug that needs to be fixed.
                                                      If you use aow Seppuku, and then use aow Holy Ground, then drink the flask of crimsonwhorl within holy ground. After that walk outside the area of holy ground and use holy ground again, stay(you can walk) inside the new holy ground for a few seconds. After that you will be FOREVER immune to elemental damage(magic/fire/lightning/holy),get healed by it UNTIL you die or backout the game.Some reported that you can't use law of regression to repel the bugged immunity.

                                                                  will never happen but a massive Damage overhaul could make this game uncontested GOAT. One shot builds, OP weapon arts, and fights lasting 10 seconds makes for far less potential for interesting combat mechanics and as such much more playability long term. Worked great for DS3's 5 year run all thanks to functioning pvp.

                                                                                              Added definitely a miniboss fight to redmane castle. I realized this when i started a new playthrough and there was suddenly a fog wall right before the place where the npcs met for the radahn fight. I was sure I didn't have to fight at this place before so i switched back to my first playthrough and there was the fog wall also, with the fight.

                                                                                                Everything worked amazingly up until the latest Patch on PS5, I can no longer summon players into my games "Unable to Summon" with and without passwords, YET I can join everyone else's games no problem. Very annoying, I tried everything, settings, reboot, modem reboot, nothing. I can help others, but stuck playing my game alone. Weird is... if my friend's places an invader sign, it works! I am looking forward to a future patch, hopefully it will fix this.

                                                                                                  1. Multiplayer is still very broken. Constant Unable to summon even among small groups using passwords. As a test did the following: Player A can summon player B and C, but player B can't summon C, but can summon A. Player C can summon player B, but not A, etc. Seems like they need to spend more time on their network stack and mabe less time nerfing weapons.
                                                                                                  2. Save roll back problems have happened on Xbox. Saved game on exit. Came back to game next day, boos was back, but I still had the loot. Killed again, got same loot. I don't think that's what was intended and now I have two of an ash of war. Not really complaining, but it's a bit disconcerting.
                                                                                                  3. Killing dung eater, loot drops, but crab agros and charges you and kills you. Loot gone. Not that it's a big deal, but maybe they should that crab in the moat if they're going to put a red phantom in there.

Seriously, what's with the speed bumps on tree branches? you walk forward and suddenly you're shunted to the side, you save your self and try to jump over the bump.. and you slide off the side. Big issue when half the level is tree branches!
