For people complaining and saying that the black knife is better, it is not, each weapon has its purpose, the black knife scales most with dex, and this weapon with faith, which allows you to play with 80 faith and access the best of the incantations, in addition blade of gold has high poise damage, can knock back enemies and nice base damage, you can perfectly make a healer/buffer build with this and still be relevant with the damage, nice to have some co-op with your friends and be the subclass Golden Assassin

I was wary about using this weapon over the Black Knife, but I’m doing a Crafting/Faith run and decided that it fit my character better. At +9, I was able to beat Mogh with this thing after 3 attempts. Now granted, I did have my Mimic out to help with the aggro- but the blade did decent damage with its skill. I was so blown away I had to look up and make sure that Mogh wasn’t weak to holy. For a weapon that doesn’t have bleed build up and does holy damage of all things, it’s pretty good! Also the jumping animation helps you get off of the ground while there’s bloodflame scattered everywhere. Again I can see why the Black Knife is better and also it’s not as hidden as this weapon- but for anyone doing any kind of faith-based run, I’d give it a try! It might surprise you!

Did a Melina run w/ the Blade of Calling and with the right setup this weapon skill can do upwards of 1100 damage per cast on several bosses, don't underestimate it

This is better than the Black Knife Blade on lower hp targets and players because of the knock back being so strong.

If you combo blade of gold and blade of death it can do a lot of damage

So many weapons have Faith requirements :( I started as a pure INT caster then moved into DEX and a bit of STR but I'll never have enough runes for Faith or Arcane until like NG162 lol.
