Sacred Phalanx is a Skill in Elden Ring. Sacred Phalanx is a unique skill found on the Cleanrot Spear. Updated to Patch 1.07.
How to get Sacred Phalanx in Elden Ring
- Default skill on the Cleanrot Spear.
- Drops from the spear wielding Cleanrot Knights just south of the Heart of Aeonia by Commander O'Neil (very low drop rate).
- It can also drop from the ghostly Cleanrot Knights in the War-Dead Catacombs.
- Drops from the spear wielding Cleanrot Knights in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Closest is directly outside the "Prayer Room" Site of Grace (very low drop rate).

- Deals 22 stance damage
- This Skill is not Chargeable.
- This skill is very familiar to the Ritual Spear Fragment from Dark Souls 3.
- The attack consists of two parts; A (normally-scaling) Spear attack, followed by a (skill-scaling) Holy Damage eruption of Spears from the ground
- The damage scaling for the Spear eruption at each weapon upgrade level is as follows:
- +0: 0.47 * Faith + 128
- +1: 0.675 * Faith + 147
- +2: 0.831 * Faith + 172
- +3: 1 * Faith + 198
- +4: 1.27 * Faith + 222
- +5: 1.53 * Faith + 248
- +6: 1.73 * Faith +278
- +7: 2 * Faith + 307
- +8: 2.28 * Faith + 338
- +9: 2.58 * Faith + 370
- +10: 2.89 * Faith + 404

That scaling chart is total crap shoot in the dark.
The scaling for the weapon art is as follows (from the ER - Motion Values and Attack Data (App Ver. 1.10)):
140MV for the spear swipe (both physical and holy damage)
500MV for the spear eruption (holy only)
If you have 100 physical damage and 50 holy damage, the weapon would do
swipe: 1.4x100 + 1.4x50 = 210
spear eruption 5x50 = 250
Do note that the damage is significantly lower in practice since this is three instances of damage going through both absorption and negation each time.

does the damage scaling above factoring in the buff from 1.07?

If cleanrot spear got this why didn’t the erdtree spear get morgotts holy attacks with it like a holy thrust from above or being able to yeat it like spectral lance but its own version very wack not even a sword with an aoe of golden swords raining down for a short time for morgott either which I was hoping

I don't like farming for anything other than souls/runes especially for anything that has a very low chance of dropping for me in the first place.
This and the halo scythe are tempting me to spend some time in the swamp though. It mentions this specifically having "a very low drop rate" both in Caelid and brace of the haligtree, but not for the spectral cleanrot knights in war-dead catacombs.
Does that mean it is more likely to drop from the spectral knights in that dungeon than the other two mentioned locations? has anyone had any luck getting this from war-dead catacomb?

This skill can be charged and held to delay the spears coming out

Cleanrot spear from the knights in cellia . In the commander boss fight vicinity . Actually farmed it for two hours . Worth it . So rare and sexy

It's on the Cleanrot spear that drops from Cleanrot Knights that wield in in the Aeonia Swamp in Caelid.
Looks a lot similar to Messmer's attack
