Take off auto lock. Practice with rotating the left stick (on Xbox or PS; on pc, i mean spin your character around counterclockwise for as long as you hold the LT/L2/Ashe of War key. Done properly, this turns every usual spin in two attacks. You can test this on enemies by just pressing and not holding LT/L2/AoW key once, and spinning your character around. You’ll two hits, and it’ll do a slightly better job keeping you from being hit in the windup, versus doing the same thing and facing the same or general direction, which only gets you one hit and is more easily punishable. It takes practice. Also, while practicing his, I discovered this AoW deflects arrows as long as you keep holding it (tilt the camera down a bit to alter the angle of the spinning blade so that incoming arrows hit it).

If you kill Irina and give Edgar the letter he'll go over to where Irina normally would be and fight you and you can get the weapon that way. (I believe the Misbegotten at the bottom of Castle Morne must be killed first for him to leave.)

I believe you get a Banished knight halberd with this skill after killing an invader on the revengers shack
Overlooked AoW! Seriously, consider giving it a try.
People don't seem to like it due to the animation lock, and low mobility, but it does a LOT of damage in pve even for non-status builds.
Even in pvp, it's decent, and I'd recommend giving it a shot. A single hit of the startup spin will out-damage a 2-handed R1, and it comes out only a few frames slower than an R1 from a poke halberd, so it's actually a decent trade tool. This AoW is also fantastic against people who like to roll in, or reverse quick-step you.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a top-tier AoW for pvp, but if you master it, it's very strong! I keep it on one of my hard-swap weapons in pvp, and get a lot of use out of it against rapier/fist weapon players. Don't use it against a parry king, this AoW is very easy to parry.
