35 FP is too high IMO for too low % buff that even has a downside. I mean, it lasts a quite long duration and the downside is pretty low, but 35 FP for 10% only seems a bit odd. Since it stacks with everything else, increasing the % would be too much IMO, so an FP cost reduction would be a good approach. 20 FP would be nice.

Debuffs are usually more effective than buffs. I don't know the specifics of elden Ring, but let's consider 3 examples: I) Enemy, 50% res, 2000 incoming damage. Final damage is 2000*0.5 = 1000. II) With 10% debuff the enemy has 40% resist, skill does 2000 damage, gets reduced to only 1200 instead of 1000! 200 more damage! III With 10% more damage instead of 10% debuff, you have 2200 damage. Reduce this by 50% and you arrive at 1100 damage. If we now compare the final damage of all three cases (I: 1000, II: 1200, III: 1100) we see that a debuff of same numerical value wins over a buff.

This is deceptively good. Especially for coop. The ash has decent range and very quick cast time. Use this and your Holy or Magic build has 10% damage buff that stack with everything else. It is easier to cast this than reapply any of the buff during boss fight as well. The debuff on yourself barely matter as you are not taking as much damage as the boss. And not all boss use magic or holy. Even if they do you can cast Magic Shield which allow your shield to negate most of magic damage or using shield with high element res. Or using negation buff. It is easy to circumvent the downsize if you even worry about it.
It is a bit underrated for how good it really is.
Doesn't proc on you when used by Mimic tear. At least not that I could tell

Why would a measly 10% warrant a down side? Especially since practically nobody will be able to make use of both parts of the buff

Even with a 60 second duration this skill is rather hard to justify going through the requirements to use, a 35FP cost combined with a double edged application makes this only worth using during co-op vs mini-boss/boss enemies when you have allies who will benefit from the effect.
Hopefully the weapon itself will be buffed one day where this can be weapon skill can considered a helpful addition, instead of a lackluster main draw.

The best thing I can say about this skill is that its considered a unique debuff, so you can stack it with most other debuffs

slept on for mages. can be combined with frost and the debuff from ranni/rennala's moon to absolutely delete enemy defenses

It'd be nice if the reduction was greater, but other than that it's a pretty cool skill. The duration increase makes it a little better too.

Most stupid AoW in Elden ring from the dude claiming to know everything

It doesn't seem to affect friendlies in jolly cooperation, just the caster and enemies.

Great AOW to pair with frost and you only need to keep the scepter at +0. Running on a str/int build rn that focuses on powerstancing and carian grandeur. Massively boosts your damage if you proc frost>terra magica>all knowing. Can easily do 3k and up on a boss in NG+.

if the debuff made spells gravitate towards people it would be super sick

In my fight with Gideon, he would use this at the very beginning every time and it would seemingly make me fat roll.. why is this?

Would’ve been super cool if we could put this on other staffs

Does this affect a…certain boss that recovers from holy damage? That is, making it vulnerable to said holy damage?

If you used law of regression right after you cast this, are you rid of the debuff? If so, then does it to the same for other entities within the area?

tested it and it is not worth.
There are other buffs that brings more dmg.
If you have a boss that has magic resistance it might be better than normal but if its a normal boss its not worth over other buffs.

The weapon this belongs to only scales with Int, and yet it would've been a perfect int/faith weapon with this skill.

The area seems to be roughly the same range as rancorcall and a bit shorter than cometshard, doesnt aggro enemies when tested on palace mohg sadbois, not bad cast speed. it does also lower your own magic and holy negation for the duration which is 30 seconds. stacks with rennala moon for another roughly 10% extra dmg.

Does this debuff stack with other magic defuffs like the moon spells ?
The noise that plays when you use it sounds like one of the generic sound effects from ds1, and doesn't appear anywhere else in ER
