So if i use this (aow of golden epitaph, +100%), swap to inseparable blade (+20%) and use the aow (sacred blade, +100%), i will deal 220% of damage against undead creatures?

      • Anonymous

As an invader, you can use this with deathbed dress to damage your host's enemies. The damage can be increased with some talismans. It will also damage you, but you can counteract this with the royal remains set.

Last Rites grants 25 Holy Damage and Life-in-Death effectiveness to all armaments, including Bare Fists, shields, catalysts and magic, bows and arrows, Fire Pots, Volcano Pots, Rancor Pots, Spark Aromatic, etc. It also adds Holy Damage to Rejection, Darkness, Briar Armor Rolling, Oil Pots, Throwing Knives, Wraith Calling Bell, your own Golden Vow, your own Lord's Heal, and your own Deathbed Dress! It does not bless Briar Rolling to deal double damage to skeletons, though. Just an extra 2 - 10 points of damage.

This AoW is bugged af. Tried to use it to buff myself to boost my Bloody Helice against a Death Rite Bird only to find out it ****s up Dynast's Finesse. With Last Rites active, using Dynast's Finesse makes me BOUNCE OFF OF an enemy when I DODGE INTO THEM. So I get no I-frames from it. Total BS.

            • This AoW is hella bugged. If you have the Sentry’s Torch in your offhand and use this AoW, it damages enemies over time (specifically in the case of the invisible Black Knife Assassin).

Also, you take damage when applying the Golden Vow effect from a Golden Greatarrow.

So, just a note, but this adds 25 holy damage to ALL DAMAGE YOU DEAL. This gives all weapons scaling with Holy damage boosters AND makes multi-hit attacks that much stronger.

wtf, this skill is busted (but in the best way possible).

what is the difference between this and shared order? They seem to do the same thing but do not seem to stack.

However this DOES stack with sacred order, meaning you can give a weapon sacred order with holy damage and deal insane damage to undead enemies. I was doing this with a Greatsword+24 and dealing 4000-5000 dmg to various undead enemies. AND they won't respawn!

                  • Anonymous

Can we also add to the notes that when this weapon art is used, whenever you kill a skeleton-type mob, they don't respawn like they normally would.

                    • Anonymous

2 weapons I like using this with are the Great Club and Ornamental Straight Sword. For the club, +10% damage is nice, the golden land ash projectiles will get way stronger, making it easier to snipe with, and you can pop a holy grease/order’s blade so your holy damage really shines. For OSS, the extra flat holy damage makes a big difference since golden tempering only gives 100.

that flat 25 dmg and 10% buff to all damage types is frightening. Wouldn't want to accidentally have it activated when invading with volcano pots, pest threads, or any other tick damage attack...

definitely works on bestial sling, off to test the others. Volcano pots are already horrifyingly strong, especially near ladders. prevents you from moving until you fall off and roped volcano pots can be dropped off ledges onto people trying to climb up.

Does the sacred scorpion charm raise the Holy damage? I'm using SoNaF and I want to deal 4 damage types, but when I add the charm it still just says +25 on the Holy section, despite looking like a get an extra 3AR (crazy damage, I know). Using the Holy sacred tear in my flask looks to give me an extra 1AR, but the stats on SoNaF still just say +25 holy damage from Last Rites. Also, SoNaF doesn't set miranda flowers or creeper fingers on fire, why?

                          • Anonymous

Last Rites is currently bugged and makes some spells like catch flame and the frenzy incants. do no damage while it's active.

                            • Anonymous

Stacks with Sacred Order Ash of War, and this damage boost carries over to all weapons and catalysts even if you are cycling through weapons. Unsure about the 25 holy damage to Catalysts as that should not impact the spell multiplier at all, but it seems to work due to some spell interactions I've noticed. The 25 Holy Damage greatly impacts Elden Stars when using it in PvP. The chip damage from the bolts does relatively minimal damage on its own, but with Last Rites active, I seem to do over 350 damage to players with the chip damage consistently (Normally I would be doing 120-140)... and on top of that, the Regal Omen Bairn is also impacted by this ash of war, though it is still notably bad considering the massive FP cost of the item and how slow it casts.

Now if only PvE enemies didn't have such high Holy Resistance, this would actually boost Holy to being high-tier if not for half of the bosses having 40-80% resist. Ah well, at least Deathbirds become trivial... Wish Holy had more of an impact against more "hollow-like" enemies like the obvious zombies in catacombs and the common-folk who are unable to die.

Does this effect spells/incantations? Given how infrequently such buffs effect casting, I'm skeptical, but the wording makes it seem like it does.

Since no one commented, as the buff is on the character and not on the weapon, you can swap to the bow to eliminate a certain skeleton in a particular terrible spot in the same catacombs you've found it.

Strangely it affects Omen Bairn and Regal Omen Bairn. The +25 flat dmg applies to every bolt individually, aswell as the initial aoe. Which adds 200 and 375 extra damage respectively, beyond the 10% buff. Making it the most effective aura buff to amp their damage. The added flat damage is further increased by other dmg buffs, like sacred scorpion etc. For the few who feel like any of the Bairns are important enough to decide which buff to use based on em.

I suppose amping the flat dmg applies to regular weapons as well. Flat dmg buff is better the faster you hit. if it can be buffed as well that might be useful. I gotta go back to my Labs Between and look into this buff further. I will get back on this.

Apparently this also buffs Holy Water Pot against Undead. Making me deal several thousand damage against Skeletons and Deathbird.

I combined last rights with the treaspear AOW sacred order and it was doing over 1300 damage for a light attack on a undead while it was just level 15

                                        • Anonymous

This aow is bugged as well as Shared Order aow. Aow like Storm Blade does 0 damage in pvp and pve when buff is applied. Waterfal dance does reduced damage too when the buff is applied. Fix it.

                                          • Anonymous

I don't know if it's due to the 1.07 patch but last rites makes enemies inside the cloud from sleep pots take damage tiks

                                            • Anonymous

There is a strange glitch while you have this buff active. If you summon the spirit wolves and go near enemies your character and the wolves will start taking 1HP of damage for some reason.

                                              • Does not boost spells, unlike Shared Order.
Which is strange considering they basically do the same thing and override each other (because both are aura buff, just like Golden Vow)
I tested with all 4 element basic spells: Glintstone Pebble (the sorcery, not the skill) for magic, Flame Sling for fire, Discus of Light for holy, and Lightning Spear for lightning.
Shared Order adds damage to all these spells, but Last Rites do nothing.
Both skills add holy damage to melee attacks as expected though.

                                                • Anonymous

The buff gives an extra 25 holy dmg, but is not needed to permakill skelis, the weapon has this ability already.

                                                  • Anonymous

If you apply this buff to yourself and have a weapon with the Ash of War Vacuum Slice. The blade projectile does 0 damage (but will still do posture damage). Probably a bug.

                                                    • Anonymous

This skill is noteworthy in that it applies Sacred Order as a self buff rather than an armament buff, so you can change weapons freely. I don't think any other skill or incantation does that. Super helpful for areas with large numbers of undead enemies, as Sacred Order stops them from reviving.

                                                      • Anonymous

Sacred Order - Provides the Sacred affinity, which adds Holy damage and Faith scaling, decreases physical damage, most damage negation.

It buffs attack power +25 for 45 seconds and you can switch to main weapon without it disappearing, like I've noticed with other buff weapons.
