Elden Ring Charge Forth Guide, Notes & Tips
- This is an Ash of War Skill, associated with the Ash of War: Charge Forth.
- FP Cost: 16
- This Skill is Chargeable (charging only increases the range, not the damage, however equipping Godfrey Icon does increase the damage)
- This skill helps your character perform a piercing charge forward, that can also be guided to keep track of enemies. It is not easy to direct, but can have devastating effects if it connects.
- The heavy attack version of the charge goes further than regular attacks.
NOTE: This skill was changed with Patch 1.07 as follows:
- Directional control and motion speed have been increased.
- Delay between the end of various actions (like using items or attack animations) and being able perform the skill has been reduced.

I hate this skill. Not just think it's bad. This was only put in the game so enemies can use it to rollcatch you. Can't roll late, you get stagger locked. Can't roll early, you'll get flung. Can't use it yourself, you get interrupted during charge up. Can't interrupt enemy charge up, you get hit. I would rather every spear in the game shot glintstones than any have this.

For the amount of fp and stamina it uses it sure deals low damage compared to piercing fang or giant hunt. Doesn't deal stance break either but the final thrust deals emough poise damage to stagger Zamor warriors. Needs another patch to make it balanced. Either reduce the fp and stamina cost or increase the damage of the final poke and make it stance break enemies.

Okina and Juno Hoslow slayer. They both dodge the start and forget to dodge the actual hit.

The fact that hitting someone doesn’t deliver the full damage or even poise break makes it bad. But against enemies without poise it will nuke them. I also like free aiming it at max range since I can trust ghost range to impales someone who was too confident in walking to the sides as if this is a spell.

It says that it is chargeable on the Godfrey icon page, but no chargeable on this page. I reckon this page is wrong since it can be held for longer duration and therefore more damage similar to eochaid’s dancing blade

>called charge forth
>is not chargeable
>but actually can be held to go further
Yeah i know, semantics and all that, but cmon. I would call it chargeable because your attack changes basef on held time.
Charge Forth? More like "Charge to your death."
