I swear this ash of war doesn't get buffed by Alexander's shard but maybe the first part counts as a weapon buff and not a skill?

What's the point of death blight if even the normal enemies are immune to it? Bosses and NPC's being immune is understandable but normal enemies .....?

        • Anonymous

This needs to decrease the base damage of the blade while active, and deal higher death blight buildup. Currently, using death flare in shotel, you will kill every opponent with regular damage long before you apply death blight.

This page needs to be updated. Buff doesn't scale off faith. Like someone else said, it only gives a flat 35 damage buff. Wasted a larval tear to prove it. The weapon would be infinitely better if it did scale off faith...

I've seen a couple comments mention that Death Flare adds damage to your weapon as well as the death build up. Is this true? If so, what kind of damage? Holy?

              • Anonymous

This will only proc on pvp foes and in game npcs. Mobs and bosses are not affected by death buildup. Thats why this weapon sees almost no usage

All death abilities should: "In addition to dealing immediate damage, this attack reduces the enemy's maximum HP and continues to wear down HP for a short time." Leave the instant death for the npcs. Especially since it doesnt work on anything other than players if it ever works at all. Its a beautiful wep with a horrible wep art. Dont start witht he sin combo because thats lame i hate using it instead of just using the wep.

I really thought it will work at least on the most regular npcs... What about npc invaders thought? sounds about right.... anyone tested that yet? i might!

i got destroyed by this in pvp all they had todo was stand near me and i gained massive amounts of death so i believe just holding the sword (Eclipse Shotel) that this comes with causes enemys to get death stacks
