Viper Bite is a Skill in Elden Ring. Viper Bite is an exclusive skill for Coil Shield Wielders. The Shield is shaped as a snake, by using this skill, you unleash the snake that performs a bite attack from a pretty long distance and then quickly go back to the original shield form. Updated to Patch 1.09.
How to get Viper Bite in Elden Ring
- This skill is exclusive for the Coil Shield. The Coil Shield is found on a body inside the Volcano Cave, northeast of the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite.

Patch Changes

- Increased projectile generation speed and reduced the recovery time.
- Attack power and poison status buildup have been increased.
- Poison effect duration and increased damage caused by poison have been extended.
- Fixed a bug where the skill Viper Bite could inflict poison instead of deadly poison.

AnonymousIt says the damage of this ash scale with strength, however with a dex builf (10 strength, for 32 dex, this skill slaps way more than my quality urumi+7 while the shield is +1,and now at +4 it one shot nearly every medium mobs. Even the tall crystal miners get one shot from it. It would be sad for my dex build if it actually just scaled with strength

This weapon art is really strong now, I poisoned the dragon outside Fort Faroth in 2 hits, and it poisons most enemies in 1 hit. Combine this with the mushroom hat and kindred of rot exultation for a free 40% damage buff that can be reapplied.

doing this skill from stealth is honestly hilarious - at least for me it took like 3-4 snake bites to apply poison and the animation is ridiculous
