Great ash if you actually want to play a knight and not roll around constantly like a goofball.

a free ticket through stormveil for all twinks who use that at low level
- Anonymous
According to Aseo, you need to say "DOSHUH!!!" to use it propperly
if only we could put this on staffs, then we'll have poise casting back baby

Man, i wish we could put "on all melee armament" WAs on staves and seals

Reminder for everyone that sleeps on how absurd this is. Think about all of the powerful attacks and spells there are that have no hyper armor. Inescapable Frenzy and Waterfowl Dance for some examples. Pop this, and then use them. There's basically nothing other players can do to stagger you, and even most bosses get stopped. It takes those slow, hard to get off attacks and says "Actually, I don't care that you hit me. Now die."
- Anonymous
Suggestion: start a new Vagabond character (for the armor), get Dragoncrest Talisman from the Beastial Sanctum, boiled prawns from liurnia, the morning star from Weeping Peninsula, then slap Endure on it and face-tank the entire early game. Watch the bosses stagger and bleed to death, while you don't have to roll a single time. It's a cathartic experience.
You can then take this further with Opaline Hardtear, replacing prawns with crabs and getting Flame grant me Strength, Golden Vow and Bloodflame Blade.

Goated skill for dlc final boss. Strong against long combos that punish dodging and helpful for those who want to get their hits/dmg in without a shield & spear build
- Anonymous
when on earth that endure animation was change on big weapon like greatsword , colossus weapon ? a hidden patch or when ?
- Anonymous
Borderline required if you invade in robes or light armor. As such I keep a weapon with this handy at all times.
- Anonymous
Use this on a FTH/ARC build before unleashing a Dragon Communion spell to prevent being interrupted and watch everything before you die.

In ds3 I loved black knight sword that had this. It's was a deadly combination and is in ER too on all weapons. What's a good technique to defeating someine using this? Range weapon?
This on status claws/fists - noob deleter. Wins trades vs everything. It's really easy to avoid tho - remember ds3 and DON'T TRADE WITH WHITE AURA, just don't.

Run out of stamina?... Endure then look at them menacingly while recover stamina bar.
- Anonymous
Did you know that this things lets you face tank a point-blank Wave of Destruction from the Ruins GS without even flinching? Well now you do. Forget the how, why in Marika's name is this even a thing. Why. Just... why.
- Anonymous
Endure into Inescapable Frenzy, son. I cast it in response to brainless mashing. You can't gank me, Jack.
- Anonymous
What happens if you cast this and also raise your shield? Will you potentially stagger opponents with heavier weapons (i.e crucible knight) ? Or will the shield just block the effect from even being used?
- Anonymous
This thing is a monster for PvP with thrusting swords or fist weapons. These weapons rely on many hits simultaneously and stack well with talismans which boost successive attacks, but it is super easy to get poise broken without using this.

Use this if you want to actually cast incantions in this game. I tried resisting but it's absurd how easy this makes it to use some of the spells in this game. Very nice being able to face tank all the hard bosses and watching fall in the face of my power, do note you will die quick if you get caught in a combo though.

using endure near the end of the duration DOES NOT reset the duration
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
perfect for if you get spawned in the middle of 3 guys by the phantom finger
- Anonymous
even after the nerf its still ever so slightly longer than before, 3.5 sec instead of 3.
- Anonymous
Ugh nerfed already? How am i supposed to stand up to all the fires deadly sin+ bloodflame blade spam thats been about lately?
- Anonymous
Mandatory AoW for low Poise builds, even with the nerf back to 3 seconds.
Dual Scavengers with Consecutive Attacks buffs (Rotten Wing, Millicent's Prosthesis, Thorny Cracked Tear) and Blue Dancer Charm shreds everything as long as it can land the sprint/jump attack + a couple of L1s, and Endure lets you get those L1s in.
You probably don't need the Blue Dancer Charm, but I like armorless fashion.
- Anonymous
1.07.1 reverted the 5 second duration back to the old 3 second duration.
- Anonymous
And of course Fromsoft had to ruin something I was starting to really enjoy.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
I use this but I also use the blue dancer charm and no armor. It works well with dragon incantations. Naked Dragonman CHOMP!
- Anonymous
And there goes the endure meta, good riddance. Though I wish they kept it the same for large and colossal weapons as they already have to put up with a much longer activation animation and a much slower attack speed/recovery. Of course they'd still be no match for current rapier and great spear hokey pokey that almost everyone's dancing to now. But they'd be a bit better.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
good spacing? evaluating trades? mixups? poise? nah. just spam this and you'll do fine.
- Anonymous
Everyone’s talking about this on rapiers but dual Nagi endure is even worse. Should have been locked to strike weapons and collosals only.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
I dont mind 5 seconds as long as it locked on colossal & great weapon.
- Anonymous
officially most braindead ash of war. but it on a poking weapon and become unbeatable in pvp.
- Anonymous
IMO they should have extended the duration only on the weapons with the longer endure animation, like greathammers, greatswords, etc. I felt like 3 seconds was just the right amount of time for lighter weapons. I'm just afraid that this will just become stupid in mirror matches where nobody dies and they just sit there r1 spamming eachother with infinite hyperarmor.
- Anonymous
Oddly enough, it does not consume any FP when used of a weapon you do not meet required stats
- Anonymous
Obnoxiously strong. 5 seconds of damn near infinite poise for like 9 fp

1.07 patch notes: "ADDED AN EFFECT THAT PREVENTS STAGGERS CAUSED BY BLOOD LOSS AND FROSTBITE STATUS EFFECTS."

Putting this on a dagger makes for a very useful tool to help you get off a powerful spell/weapon art without bosses and/or some random dipshit interrupting you by gently poking you, which is great because there are few things that make me die inside more than getting knocked onto my ass before i can cast my awesome ancient dragon spell etc if a rat or literally any enemy/boss so much as gives me a dirty look.
- Anonymous
Fun and useful but don't even think about putting it on a colossal weapon. It about doubles the cast time and paired with the slow weapon attack speed makes it nearly useless. I'm looking very specifically at you, Dragon Greatclaw.

- Anonymous
In DS3 they buffed the duration of Endure and they need to do it again here.
- Anonymous
Good for casters, especially against other casters. Useless for melee builds since people play passive and if they’re not passive, they’re a status build which will ignore poise boosts. Endure into melee will lose trades against other L2s. And there is no combo so you may only get one hit or none at all after taking damage. And even with endure,60 vigor and armor you won’t win trades against bosses with endure, even if you’ve got status. And the one boss you want to bully will heal if she touches you.
- Anonymous
probably good or something, but holy **** what a boring choice. for the love of god use wild swings or something.
- Anonymous
This ash of war makes you resist all forms of staggers even during jump.
- Anonymous
Not that bad I used it to face tank Margit and Godrick. The duration is small but enough to land two light attacks with a colossal sword. The increased damage negation is the cherry on top.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
This on your right hand weapon as a pure caster makes some awful long-animation short range spells somewhat viable.
Examples: zamor ice storm, explosive ghostflame, gelmir's fury, briars of sin.
Of course, you are better off using slicer anyway.
- Anonymous
Bleed cancels poise no matter what. Use speckled hard tear to mitigate bleed while using endure to face tank corpse piler.
- Anonymous
an int faith wizard had this on their dagger and was able to poise through and survive my zwei's running r1 and they finished me off with carian slicer in the trade. honestly one of the most fun losses i've had in a duel
- Anonymous
Possibly best ash of war I can think about, right now 24/7 on all my weapons. Poise and damage mitigation, best mechanic
- Anonymous
Would be great. But everything has bleed and it can still stunlock you. Poise and even added magical poise are no match for bleed
- Anonymous

- Anonymous
Works great with Ritual Shield talisman, Dragon Greatshield talisman, and anything that restores HP on hit/crit/kill.
- Anonymous
I think this should last either 0,5-1 sec more, or should cost less fp, or grant status build up resistances, or shorten the animation time, or prevent status stunlock, if it procs during endure. As I said either of these options, not all of them, to make the skill a little bit better. I think it's fine, but could use a small buff.
- Anonymous
Great for one big hit or, if you’re a battle mage, to start up a cast even while being attacked. Just don’t die, skeleton!
- Anonymous
This is how you poisecast. Keep this around for your AoE spells.
- Anonymous
In DS3, the duration of this ability was affected by the weapon's category. For example, greathammers received a 6 second buff, while the caestus received a 4 second buff (I think). Is this the case in Elden Ring, or is the duration always the same, no matter the weapon?
- Anonymous
Useful if you just wanna tank the hit from Chariots. Still hurts, but can keep you from insta-death if you health is high enough and stops you from being knocked down.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Does using endure before a spell / incantation case grant uninterruptible poise during the cast like the talisman skill Unfaltering Prayer in DS3?
- Anonymous
Saw a video of someone dual giant hammers where one has this, popping a crab and using this to somehow get like 80% physical damage negation plus the hammer had vampiric qualities so they would just absorb the other 20% health back effectively making them immortal and unstoppable for 2.5 seconds every time they used Endure.
- Anonymous
Gives 45% to all resistances (physical, magical, ect) ~2 seconds. Also directly combos into light attacks and heavy attacks (unless the heavy attack is too slow, in which case you may become exposed at the end of it). Can be chained with itself for a continuous buff. Also seems to give a huge amount of poise so much so that I have been unable to stagger against any enemies/bosses while under its short effects.
- Anonymous
A total lifesaver, pop this and you can chug your flask right in the enemy's face uninterrupted if you can't get away and desperately need to heal
- Anonymous
I used this skill and the enemy's sword "bounced" off of me like it was blocked. I cast it at the exact right moment, almost like a parry timing. This was against one of the basic soldiers in one of the mines early game. Haven't been able to reproduce it.
- Anonymous
I did some testing and found that Endure activation does increase all negation by a little over 200%. However, it does nothing for poise. Rendering it rather useless even for it's niche application of activating endure to do R2s and combos.
- Anonymous
They ruined this spell in the 1.03 patch. I get stunned by every attack. Fromsoftware can’t do anything right balance wise.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Currently bugged from the new patch, before I could withstand a hit from a giant mid animation, now I get staggered out of it from a simple dagger stab.
- Anonymous
Unfortunately, not very good on anything heavier than a grave scythe. The R2 on Grave Scythe is just barely fast enough to take advantage of Endure's very short duration. Endure with Twin Katana's is very nice though! You can basically Endure, and then just wombo combo in to a bleed. Very strong on a VIG/END/STR build! Real unfortunate I can't invest in to Arcane due to the Tank nature of Endure Builds.
- Anonymous
Only viable with Fist weapons or any weapon with very fast combos..
- Anonymous
lasts almost nothing. good thing too or n00bs would spam it like they did BKS or caestus in DS3
- Anonymous
Anyone know how long this lasts? The effect itself fades quickly but I've noticed the buff stays even if the effect fades
- Anonymous
Good if you want to block an attack but aren't presently using a shield in the off hand. Damage reduction is pretty strong and against some attacks that have big stagger (like 2h knights doing the lunge that launches you) you will stand your ground. Will get you killed on attacks with fast follow-ups/multiple swings that usually knock you down, like Leonid's double swing (would normally launch you and the second attack whiffs). Has the weird issue of competing with guard countering using a Barricade ash on a shield to negate damage then punish.
- Anonymous
Based on testing on crossbow bolts... Halves the damage that comes through armor.
Damage must come before you hit the sword to the ground.
lads, this is the unfaltering prayer you have been waiting for.

Hey guys I just thought of this wacky new pvp build haha
What if...you take eudure, right? And you put them on a bleed infused pata-HOLD ON. Not only that, but you stack like a bazillion poise as well, we can maybe even throw in the fire knight helm too I dunno
The idea is, when you do pvp you just press forward and just do light attack. And if your opponent has the sheer BALL, the F*CKING NERVE, to try anything other than roll out of your lightning quick extremely spammable running r1, you just press endure and smash your face against your controller until they die
Any thoughts?
