Elden Ring Through and Through Notes & Tips

  • Through and Through also provides substantial damage buff of around 64% over the standard fully charged shot.
  • If targets are lined up, will penetrate and deal damage to all targets. Doesn't break shield guards.
  • Significantly increases firing rate when fired back-to-back (holding L2 throughout multiple shots), but destroys your stamina when you do this, as you can't regen any when holding down L2
  • Can be buggy and not trigger if you active the Ash of War when already firing, or when aiming down sights normally. Much more consistent when used prior to aiming or shooting.

I didnt expect so many cheaters in this game. A guy is literally using through and through skill on a regular bow. Hopefully they gonna get rid of these pathetic losers who cant win without cheats.

Hello friends! don't forget that applything this ash to a greatbow that already has it allows you to change its affinity, so you can benefit from scaling it in other ways!

        • Anonymous

Apparently there's only one greatbow that can be infused, and it already has this AoW? Did anyone know that?

          • Anonymous

how many times do i need to ask... WHY DOESNT THIS PENETRATE SHIELDS!? IT LITERALLY PASSES THROUGH THE GUY WHOS BLOCKING AND HITS THE WALL BEHIND THEM, BUT IT DOES NO DAMAGE... also why can't the shot be held indefinitely like it could in DS3? that seems like a weird nerf.

            • Anonymous

Yeah lmao literally the most useless ash. Greatbows can't be infused and the one greatbow you can costumize already have this meanwhile flails which can be infused somehow doesn't get the spinning chain ash..

To the people saying this ash can change a bow’s affinity: no it cannot, it only uses standard scaling. This ash is literally pointless

Literally the most useless ash of war you can get, there is only 1 greatbow that can be infused with this and it already uses through and through, and it can't have it's affinity changed, so the only benefit you'll get from it is adding an icon to it

This attack on the Golem Greatbow with Shard of Alexander and 54+ strength does more damage than a fully upgraded jar cannon. That's before other multipliers like the arrows sting talisman or spear talisman. Its kind of the only bow setup that can do good damage without relying on status effects unfortunately.

this ash of war actually does nothing, all greatbows besides radahns has this skill, and for whatever f'n reason you can't change scaling on greatbows so it might as well not exist, and rain of arrows is useless on greatbows because you might as well use radahns greatbow because it's better rain of arrows. all bow and crossbow got shafted hard in this game, F.
