After some testing, I have determined that this spell in particular has a much reduced chance of causing birds to fly off. Birds dying to this spell will not necessarily fly away, even if the spell hit very close by. However, the birds might get startled from the spell impacting terrain. Therefore, when using this spell to farm birds, either for their feathers or their feet, try to position yourself such that the spell can strike multiple birds, while minimizing the chance of a ground impact, to prevent other birds from taking off. This can save you a significant amount of runes or arrows in the long run.

A slower, chargeable version of this which releases a 180 degree pulse of magic would have looked so cool.

Wish there was a stronger version of this (Great Glintstone Arc).

This spell is essentially a poor mans Adula's Moonblade without the blade lol. Still pretty good for crowd control early-midgame. Late-game enemies are just way too spongy for Glintstone Arc to do anything unfortunately.

Maybe I just got lucky but I'm pretty sure you can jump over this in pvp.

Does anyone else notice any weird vertical deadzones when you try to manually aim this spell? Its really annoying when you try to angle slightly up or down :/

Only spell that isn't infuriating to use against Pumpkinheads.

The Doom 2 SSG of elden ring. Still amazing for clearing crowds of weaker enemies even at level 88.

Incredibly strong spell early-mid game and really solid in pvp. Low FP cost, great damage, good range, big width, and goes through enemies. Really solid PVP spell since you can free-aim in front of players spam rolling and catch them out of rolls easily, although mid-late game you should probably slot something else. Must-have for anyone playing sorcerer for most of the game.

Brilliant for Night Cavalry too, rarely misses - hits horse and rider, horse drops first, crit to rider - done
This Spell is amazing. The further you are from your enemy crowd / group the more enemies you can line up together, as the arc gets wider. It even hits at the edge of the arc and beyond, it's deceptively wide! Reminds me of Dead Space Wide Shot gun.
The spell has amazing crowd control and dealing with hordes, duos, trios, multiple tricky enemies ground and air.
Great from horseback or the ground.
The Arc hits and passes through enemies like a hot knife through butter, and never stops travelling for great range. This means you can even shielded enemies blocking, and the Arc will pass through them and hit everyone behind and around the blocker.
The arc also passes partially through walls! The edges of the arc will go through doorways and pillars hitting behind it.
Glintstone Arc, Glintstone Pebble, Carian Slicer and Scholar's Armament are my go to spells for my Spell Sword character!

I’ve killed 10+ enemies with only two casts of this spell. Absolutely insane crowd control and decent damage also.

This spell absolutely destroys large packs if you corral them, or line the up. Also perfect for hallways and doorways

Good damage, infinitely pierces through every enemy in a surprisingly long range, and spammable. That it's available so early is insane.

This spell does a bit low damage but it's decent against enemy groups and roll spammers

What the hell is descent speed and range. Do they mean decent? Descent means to fall or lower

Hits around corners and this is especially useful in Caelid arena or invasions. Their own cover becomes an obstacle when they can’t see you casting it and the widening arc becomes a AOE. Phalanx nukes them when they step out of cover too close to you.
