Took me 20 tries of losing against mohg, then I said (words of your choice) this, I re-beat Astel, and then I killed mohg first try with this spell, as soon as I got him to do his phase transition attack, and just nuked him while he did it, I had hidden cerulean tear and purifying crystal tear, he could harm me as I just obliderated him, half the meteors didn't even hit, Scales above the power of normal meteorite 8.5/10 spell

Wow this spell is BAD. I tried it with my Rock Sling build, and it's outclassed by Rock Sling in every aspect, even damage. And I DID try it on big bosses specifically, if 2-3 meteors hit them(not even always the case) the damage is like the same as with ONE Rock Sling cast. And that for 60 FP and the long cast animation which leaves you vulnerable. Ridiculously bad. Such a disappointment. I'll stick to Rock Sling then.

Fire giant looked at the three purple portals and said "guess i'll die"

Nothing says "Get off my property" like hurling a bunch of magic boulders from a space portal at your enemies

Pop flask and let this one rip. Either you or the boss will be dead when the smoke clears. May RNGsus be with you

This thing obliterated Elden Beast using hidden tear Physick

For pvp, only one single meteorite from the first burst tracks the target. So it’s actually good if you use it as one burst, not the whole fp bar, and layered into other spells/ashes. Waves of darkness into Astel meteorite is a really good finisher and the last burst of WoD kills anyone who tries to stop the cast. A magic flint blade, fully charged may protect you from punishment if nothing sticks.

FROM could’ve increased it’s AOE in a way where it can be very useful in pvp provided you vphave enough time to cast it

does Stormhawk Deenh’s physical damage buff work with this spell?

Obviously quite stinky as a general-purpose spell, but with the Cerulean Hidden Tear, this is bar none the best spell in the game. Small enemies get flung back, large enemies get demolished and groups of enemies get dispersed instantly. While there are multiple spells (like Great Glintstone Shard, Gavel of Haima, Magic Glintblade, Loretta's Greatbow, Carian Greatsword and Night Maiden's Mist) that excel in specific areas, nothing says "this land is my land" quite like Meteorite of Astel.
Again, not a great spell under normal circumstances, but finding the proper moments to use the flask and promptly delete any and all enemies (assuming I don't get screwed by RNG) has been my main source of entertainment from New Game Plus onwards. I highly recommend you give this one a spin.

I'm on my second playthrough at mountaintops of the giants now but I did Astel in that yelough anix tunnel first time around and before Astel naturalborn of the void and this didn't drop for me. Has this happened to anyone else? I remember a comment from a player who did not get lion's claw from the lion guardian at fort gael because it was the summons that did the killing blow. I did use dung for it but I can't remember if it was the puppet that performed the coup de grace.

shoot a big laser to oneshot bosses? no thanks. call down the wrath of god to oneshot bosses? hell yeah

Interestingly, it seems to have a form of tracking close to astel's own use of this, with every other meteor going in the direction of your foe.
- Anonymous
Is this worth using with terra magica, magic scorpion charm and magic shrouding cracked tear? Or just flame grant me strength?
- Anonymous
They will nerf it all, they ruined half the game already. Not even able to play through again with old setup I enjoyed as it was all nerfed so bad It was no longer useful. Fromsoft butchered this game from the 1st to latest nerf patch. But they have no clue, so it was expected.

Terrible pvp skill, but.. If you want to feel like a God for about 4 seconds, this is the one lol

Think I'd have preferred a single burst of three tracking meteors usable quite quickly with a slight delay for pvp mixups than this pointless, situational, FP drinking overkill.

This spell + Cerulean Hidden Tear can delete the Elden Beast in a matter of seconds.

For all the people comparing Meteorite of Astel vs Comet Azur:
Azur is easier to hit smaller enemies with, and often does more damage to smaller enemies due to the scattering pattern of the meteorites sometimes missing them. Azur also does purely magic damage, which is easier to buff, while meteorite does part magic part physical.
However, Astel has tracking, making it much harder to deal with for mobile enemies; it does absolutely monstrous amounts of posture damage; and against large enemies, where more of the meteors will connect, Astel will start to really pull away in terms of damage output.
Overall, because of the damage and stagger, I often find Meteorite of Astel is the stronger choice.

This is soooo good against giant enemies(big bodies means all meteorites will hit 'em). Just hold it until your FP is gone and I'll promise you the enemy will be gone aswell.

I can confirm as an int/faith user that this can one shot elden beast. My stats are 46 faith and 55 int and I dual wield meteorite staff and prince of death to cast it. For flask I increase my int by 10 to maximize my prince of death scaling and unlimited fp to spam.
- Anonymous
This isn’t bad for larger bosses and with the Unlimited FP Tear, but I what’s the point when Comet Azur exists? It’s sadly just outclassed by comet in every way but poise damage.

If you’re a max cast speed player I recommend trying this in the slot just after Zamors Ice storm.
If you can bait someone anywhere near the full charged version you’re 90% finished casting from the perfect range.

Great opener for the second phase of the last boss. Wouldn't be able to beat it in my sorcerer build without it.
- Anonymous
This thing might not be very good in PvP but it will certainly make your enemy **** their pants
Edit needed "When using the Cerulean Hidden Tear, this spell can last indefinitely until your FP runs out." should say when stamina runs out

Now I am able to play as a living failure by calling upon the power of the cosmos to rain death upon my enemies. Neat.

My go to coop spell for a lot of bosses in coop.
Mostly using melee spells or my weapon for the area/dungeon and if the boss is a tree spirit or similar large, I empty nearly all of my remaining FP into it with this spell (hidden tear isn't worth it atm).
Only annoying point is somebody else going for a crit that does 500 dmg instead of letting the 2,5k meteors hit when the bosses stance is broken
This Spell Shatters the Elden Beast back into Elden Ring back into Age of Fracture

Meteorite and Meteor of Astel synergizes extremely well with Dex-Int hybrids. At 40 Dex + Radagon's Icon (+30 Virtual Dex, reaching max cast-time reduction), Meteorite and Meteor of Astel casts EXTREMELY fast, making it a good alternative replacement for Comet Azur on bigger bosses.

This spell turns dragons into dinosaurs and renders them extinct.
- Anonymous
Summoned a person to help me kill the boss that drops this, they used this spell and left mid cast. The meteors just kept on firing well after they had left and the boss was already dead. Not complaining though since it absolutely melted the boss.

This thing kills Mogh so quickly, that he cant even pass to stage two. Just drink the unlimited FP prior to casting. Arguably the most damaging spell in the game with the highest damage per second. And, unlike the comet, drains their stamina a lot and staggers them really hard, preventing any action. Mogh couldnt cast spells for example.
- Anonymous
This, cerulean hidden tear and purifying crystal tear up close behind mogh on the tres dos sequence does critical damage and stun to him directly after.
Prior to that sequence, i use the moon and inflict frostbite to debuff his defense. Pair this with 1 or 2 bleed attackers and 1 phase or immediate win after the tres phase
damage is absolutely mind blowing, thing actually 3 tapped malenia with 3 meteors through her first form lol, killed the fire giant with it in like 4-5 near-hits, each one does like 3.8-5k+ damage depending on buffs
- Anonymous
I hate this spell, range is ****, damage is mediocre, cost is too high, you get more from comet azur than this. It was fun to use for the first 2 casts, then realizing you would need to rest every time you wanted to use this is bs.

Super fun using this with the infinite FP and poise crystal tear. Large bosses beware.

Drink mix flask with unlimited FP and hold button for dear life. Big peepee damage

Amazing for big enemies, absolutely useless for anything else, the attack pattern is random and you will pretty end up missing anything normal sized
- Anonymous
Has a better cone of fire than the normal meteor spell, and hits REALLY hard. Shines best against large foes, who melt under this.

The disengages as Melee are fine albeit annoying.
Its the disengages into disengages as you've been literally spriting in a straight toward him and could not have gone faster that make me want to pull my hair out.
Who the hell designed this.
- Anonymous
Because it deals Magic and Physical damage, it's one of the few (maybe only) spells you can buff with Golden Vow, Flame Grant Me Strength, and Terra Magicka. Technically speaking this isn't worthwhile because Howl of Shabriri is redundant with FGMS, but for those of you without Howl it's pretty significant to be able to triple buff this spell on top of whatever talismans you have.
- Anonymous
This thing is NUTS vs very large enemies if you can get the opening to use it at close range. It deals more damage than Comet Azur and does huge poise damage, but you have to be really close to use it and if the enemy isnt huge or is very mobile then you probably won't be able to make good use of this as it has the same issue of the weaker meteor in that it's targeting is very unreliable. Comet Azur is a safer bet overall but is a definite pocket-pick vs certain enemies and bosses. Also it looks really badass >:)
Useful for huge enemies like dragons or bosses at small places that doesn't have room the dodge, works best for me when i wear a fullset of heavy armour and use the poise boost from Fia.

Strike damage variant of Boss melting channel spells. If you’re fighting a dragon, wyrm, crystallian etc. just pop that super juice and enjoy 15 seconds of eye candy.
- Anonymous
Very powerful, but very unreliable spell. With 80 INT, Mass Graven, and the meteorite staff in my other hand, a +9 Lusat’s Staff was doing about 3k per meteor. However, I have gone an entire 10s window of infinite FP from the wonderous flask and not hit anything in range at all because of the random nature of the projectiles. Unless the boss in insanely massive, I would say to just use Comet Azur.
- Anonymous
This better than the Meteorite spell in terms of dmg fp efficiency?
- Anonymous
If you're going melee and don't mind playing like a wuss like me, I ran double seppuku katanas + flame, grant me strength using black knife tiche and absolutely shredded him. Just run away from his tp so he can't 1-shot you and the fights easy.
Very damaging, but can be unreliable. Depending on boss, might do more than Comet Azur. Use it for large bosses/enemies during co-op/with ashes and only if you are sure the boss wont move.

It's not exactly in the Mountaintops of the Giants area, it's on the lower level on the left that requires 2 special pieces of medallion to access from the Grand Lift of Rold.
- Anonymous
I am fairly certain this spell only will hit enemy two meteorites per cast (without holding down casting), the reset will just phase through the target or deal no damage. This spell can be a fun setup with your friends, but you are better off casting 3 rock slings (reliably deal more damage and cost less FP, 16 per sling). I tested at those scarlet rot spilling giant land squid, and only two meteorites will land max, can be zero minds you.

Spell is located in the Consecrated Snowlands, as a reward for beating the boss of the Yellow Anix Tunnel.

For anyone looking to locate this, it's at 77:133 on the interactive map. I don't know how to post pictures and other stuff. The closest grace is Ordina, run down to where you meet the invader Sanguine. If you have a map of the area, you can see an reddish-orange 'hole' symbol.
The shaft is called "Yelough anix tunnel"
Go inside of that and clear the mine shaft, the final boss in the zone drops this.
- Anonymous
It's in the Mountaintops of Giants area ( Ice area ) . It's far west of that area south of the Yelough Anix Ruins. You will find a tunnel on the mountain edge
- Anonymous
You're welcome for adding the location that was already listed in a different spot on the wiki.

It is located mountaintops of the giants. Slightly north west of the Consecrated Snowfields is a ruin named "Yelough Anix Ruins". nearby and down a slop is the Yelough Anix Tunnel. Go there and kill the boss and you will find it.

I could not get this to work to melt Placidusax after 15-ish tries (and chewing through my lifetime supply of uplifting aromatic). On the flip side, I switched to Spiral Shard and beat him on the first try. Just thought I’d share.
