Alabaster Lord Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Alabaster Lord:
- Fight him on the outer edges of the arena.
- Take advantage of his Meteorite's long cast animation.
Melee Users
Alabaster Lord only has a few moves in his repertoire and it is relatively easy to discern his patterns. Consider fighting him on the outer edges of the arena as the center has uneven terrain which can cause his meteorites to impact with the ground near you, dealing splash damage.
Alabaster Lord has three main attack patterns: Meteorite, Slice and Dice, and Lightning Orb. He will rarely diverge from these attacks. Meteorite has a very long animation and should be exploited. After he plunges his sword from the ground, you can try and get behind him for one or two hits. The meteors don't track very well at melee range and they are unlikely to hit you this way. His Lightning Orb attack comes out very quickly, has very good tracking and requires precise timing to dodge. His Slice and Dice move begins with a diagonal dash to his left as he slashes upwards followed by a large, sweeping slash in the opposite direction. Dodging through the first slash towards his right side should prevent the second slash from hitting you and will position you behind him for a quick counter.
Overall, his Meteorite and Slice and Dice moves are his most punishable for melee players.
Magic and Ranged Users
Ranged players have the added advantage of being completely out of range of his sword plunge into Meteorite summon. Do note that he will sometimes charge towards you before he performs the plunge but the AoE is easy enough to avoid. The meteorites themselves have a slow travel speed and ranged/magic users should take this time to get a few hits in while they get ready to sidestep the projectiles. If you maintain your distance, the first slash of his Slice and Dice attack should land nowhere near you. However, this also makes you an easier target for the second slash. Try to dodge diagonally to the right after you see the first slash and then punish his recovery time accordingly.
Alabaster Lord Attacks & Counters
Attack | Description | Counter |
Meteorite | Alabaster Lord plunges his sword into the ground, sending a shockwave out in a small radius around him. A blackhole then forms above him where several meteorites emerge and fly towards his target. These projectiles explode on impact and leave a burning effect on the ground for a few seconds. The lower his HP is, the more meteorites he unleashes at once. | Dodge the plunge attack precisely and get behind him. Alternatively, maintain your distance and sidestep the incoming meteorites. |
Lightning Orb | Alabaster Lord forms an orb of void and lightning in his left hand and fires it at his target. | This move has very good tracking and requires precision timing to dodge. Dodge to the side or through the orb. |
Slice and Dice | Alabaster Lord dashes diagonally to his left as he slashes upward with his sword. He quickly follows up with a downward slash in the other direction as he changes direction himself. | Dodge through the first slash towards his right shoulder to get behind him and counter as he misses the second slash. For ranged, watch out for the first slash and then anticipate the second slash and dodge diagonally forward and to the right. |

Shouldn't this page be deleted? I think this is very misleading since you cannot encounter any Alabaster Lord's as a boss, currently.

I dont know who made this page but thanks to Fextralife people assumes Radahn locked his teacher inside of Evergaol and made crazy theories about that. This guy is not Alabaster Lord its Onyx.

Thanks to him. General Radahn learned a lot about gravitational magics from him.

Pretty sure this is an Onyx Lord. Onyx Lords have curved swords, and Alabaster Lords have greatswords

The Lord near the door in Yelough Anix that respawns. He uses a curved sword of some kind, instead of the Alabaster Lord Sword. Can you farm him for his weapon?

The one that respawns near the door in Yelough Anix Tunnel - with a curved sword. Can he be farmed to drop that sword?

Reminds me of Sekiro, where most enemies are 10 times bigger than you.

Sooo, I was flattening the guy in Yelough Anix Tunnel with Prayerful Strike and it damaged him but then he healed the damage right back up. Is that supposed to happen? Heavy Great Stars btw.

Those aren't renamed, just some Alabasters were replaced. The Onyx wield a curved sword while Alabaster has a straight one

Both Lake of Rot and Yellough Anix Tunnel non-bosses seem to drop Alabaster Lord's sword, however I have no idea if it is both acquireable or just the first one you kill gives a sword (I know Rot one does from this wiki however I didn't bathe Myazaki juice yet and got one from the tunnel)

Since they have no poise, it's extremely easy to stagger them. I'm sure that if they ever gave these guys some armor, they'd be terrific to deal with. Also, is it safe to assume one of these ended up as Radahn's teacher in the Gravitational sorceries? The change from Alabaster to Onyx is a bit peculiar too... anyone has insight about their original Japanese name, and if it has any in-lore implications?
- Anonymous
Its been changed to Onyx Lord. The only Alabaster Lord i've found so far has been in the Lake of Rot area on top of some raised pillars.

There's an entire fight guide for this guy, but it doesn't mention that he has almost no poise lmao. Pretty much anything staggers him out of his attack animation.
