Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.

Soldier of Godrick Boss Guide for Elden Ring
Soldier of Godrick Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Soldier of Godrick:
- Soldier of Godrick is easy to defeat and you won't need to gain any advantage against him.
- His attacks are very vertical: he swings his sword down to the ground and then up to the air, so dodge to the sides to avoid getting hit.
- His poise is higher than his mob counterparts, so weapons with a high poise damage might be useful.
Melee Users
Soldier of Godrick has a heavy sword, so it's easy to see his moves coming. The only tricky thing about him is that he looks like he is going to strike once, but he may suddenly perform a 3 hit combo.
Go Berserk: If you have enough health, simply attacking him repeatedly will be enough to defeat him even if you take several hits in the process. This strategy isn't advised, though, since this boss is a great chance to practice more advanced moves like guard counters, parrying, and dodging.
Charge and Crit: A charged heavy attack from any weapon will break his stance, allowing a critical hit that will deal about 30% of his total HP. You can prepare another heavy attack while he's getting up to break his posture again.
Guard Counters: The most foolproof way to defeat him is to hold up your shield and guard counter once he hits you. A single guard counter will break his stance, letting you get a critical hit.
Magic and Ranged Users
Resort to Melee: Since Soldier of Godrick runs towards you and early spells take a long time to cast, it may be best to just equip your melee weapon for now and use one of the strategies above.
Bait and Blast: If you want to stick to magic, keep your distance as best as possible and bait him into using slow attacks. After you dodge, you'll have a chance to cast a single spell before repeating the process.
Attacks & Counters
Attack | Description | Counter |
Overhead Slash | A charge attack where he performs an overhead slash. | Guard counter, or dodge to either side then land a few attacks. |
Charging Thrust | Enters a stance with his sword parallel to the ground, then charges towards you and thrusts the sword. | Guard counter, or wait for the sword thrust before you dodge roll, if you dodge too early the thrust will catch you. |
Triple Slash | Up to three diagonal slashes. | Guard counter or dodge backwards. |
Wide Slash | Slashes horizontally from your right to your left, covering a wide area. | Guard counter, or dodge backwards or to the right. |
: Attack can be parried

How do i beat him? I used the tips on this page, but even after getting to level 674, i can't survive for more than 30 seconds against him. His second phase where he turns into King Allant, Lord of the first sunlight and starts using the AOE grab attack instant-kill spell “hurting” is terrible.

Here's my tips for fighting him:
- If you inflict bloodloss to him you instantly died
- every his attack deal destined death dot
- also deal deathblight, madness, poison, and scarlett rot
- using PKCS at least will bring you to third phase
- using dual PKCS at least will bring you to phase 69
- its normal for your pc to randomly explode when fighting him
- your pc also explode if you killed
- gwyndolin will kiss you if you win (no one ever win anyway)
- he will give you godslayer PKCS sword if you win, it can one shot every enemies
How do I beat the final phase (Phase 69)? He does Mohg's Nihil attack except it inflicts 999 Death Blight build up instead of Hemorrhage and Purifying Crystal Tear does absolutely nothing against it!

Say what you will about Fextra, but you have to give credit where credit is due. They spend a lot of time writing strategy essays even on bosses like this.
Oh? Haha, me? Now wanting to link the first flame? Haha I would never say that hahah, I would link the first flame right away…let’s go lorian hahaha…

guys soldier of god, rick is absolutely broken because you see... in phase one if a single air molocule touches you, you die. you can also die before entering the boss because his pressence is so overwhelming and these are just the beginning have to worry about you see you MUST have a level 10000 character or higher to do at least 20 damage to him and you need a 300+ weapon (nothing less) to be able to deal any damage and dont get me started on phase 125 because he summons goku to drain all of your levels bringing you to level -23 and killing you instantly and he also deletes your game so make sure to watch out for that and one more thing if you want to even have a chance at beating him you must have the shadow wizard money gang spell

I need a hand, he keeps using Scarlet Placidusax's blood boon spirit summon Rick Azur and keeps giving deathblight when i look at him if i even think about trying to parry him. I tried using mods to make him easier but it kept replacing him with Maliketh and even then he'd still show up and kill us both with his Blasphemous Dark Moon Blood Hound's Axe of Sacred Order.

This guys easy, all you have to do is level up your character to the max, and fully upgrade all your weapons, then fuse your weapons together to make a super weapon. Then do the same with my demon souls,ds1 2 3, and bloodborne characters. Then fuse all 6 of my characters together.

Is there a tutorial on how to beat this boss? He's way harder than Malenia, and I tried to use bleed on him but he teleported behind me, backstabbed, and the OHKO'd me. And it's true, only somebody with a mad head would ban spirit ashes/Mimic Tears for this fight. Miyazaki, why?

How to beat him
Phase 1: pretty straightforward, uses normal moveset for his enemy type.
Phase 2: avoid his stunlock combo and you should be fine.
Phase 3: he now starts using destined death attacks as well as waterfowl dance with massive poise damage.
Phase 4: he now uses a special ranged attack as well that deals enormous damage and inflicts sleep, madness, death blight, poison, bleed, frostbite and scarlet rot. Long cooldown and very telegraphed, just keep your distance after he eats taco bell.
Phase 5: starts with a cutscene where he summons the Elden Beast before ripping its head off, cooking it with some vegetables, adding some salt and pepper and then eating it at a restaurant. He will now switch to a version of Maliketh's black blade with a destined death version of carian grandeur. Has longer range than the normal version.
Phase 6: he will regain his entire hp bar on phase start. The second he ends his monologue following a cutscene where he drives to the nearest Walmart, he will summon Malardia, blade of McDonalds, who has never seen her feet. Avoid the cocacolafowl dance and take her out to disable Rick's force field.
Phase 7: the furthest I have ever gotten. He will do a quintiple comet azur known as Rick azur, which deals holy damage and inflicts blue screen of death.
Please tell me what happens next if you have made it that far!

I doubt FromSoft use any tester for their games at all, they didn't even put a summon pool before him, I tried sorcery build, I tried STR build, I tried dexterity build, I tried every type of incantation build, I returned back with my 140 SL character, fully upgraded all my spirit summons and tried every single one, I just cannot even halved his HP so far, never seen his second phase.

Worth noting that he has a "Godly Rick-Parry" move where he goes into a guard stance, and the millisecond your character so much as moves an inch, he instantly parries you and ripostes you so hard it crashes the game and can bring a Level 150 character down to Level 45 even if you're not attacking, also even if you're really far away from him he'll just instantly teleport on top of you to parry and riposte you instantly, that move has ruined so many good runs I had on this boss and is something you really have to be careful of, even more so than his Bloodflame Rick gold holy magic explosion slash combo with 30 non-stop swings in a row.

Dance (Destined Death)
Phase two only. Rick leaps into the air, after a short pause he dives onto the player and slashes around her in an AoE. He then slashes two more times, closing the gap with a smaller dash each time. His final slash is then followed with a short AoE that he doesn't move for. This attack also builds up scarlet rot and death blight very quickly, causes rapid health decrease over a period of time, and temporarily removes a chunk of your health bar. This attack cannot be blocked.
Ash of War: Bloodhound's Step is currently the only way to dodge this attack. Note that Ash of War: Quickstep is too slow to avoid being damaged.
Elden Stars
Phase two only. Sends out a gold projectile that continuously chases its target while spawning smaller homing projectiles that chip away at their health before exploding.
Sprint away from Stars, once it gets close, roll back through the stars and sprint the other way. During this time you will also need to worry about other mechanics.
Starcaller Cry
Phase two only. Rick will cross his sword and shield and release a mighty roar, causing everything around him to be pulled in, similar to Gravitas. He may also do a follow-up, where he slams his sword down in front of him, causing an explosion.
After being pulled in, quickly get behind him to avoid the follow-up attack.

Rick, Soldier of God is a God Boss in Elden Ring. Rick, Soldier of God is found in Stranded Graveyard. Rick is the most powerful of the Outer Gods and is worshipped by the Three Fingers. This is an optional boss, as players don't need to defeat it in order to advance in Elden Ring.

The situation the soldiers have to face is so bleak, they are guarding a castle that they can’t even enter that houses a cruel fickle lord who very likely doesn’t supply his army well…but still they serve him and carry out their patrols even when their equipment is nearing disrepair. Let alone the player who can solo entire camps which would very likely dismantle any prestige they have left. These guys deserve a far better ruler than Godrick lord of stupidity, they should choose RICK SOLDIER OF GOD who can likely vaporize the tarnished and the greater will with just the flick of his fingers!

though tales hath lapsed in memory, though no one uttered thine name, those who once knew hath silent reverence each. He who refused guidance of grace, to light the paths of champions unmet, he who exiled into the murky depth with naught but a blade, given unto him by the grafted. Though the reason remains unsaid, his challenge to warriors born of Erd ensured their preparedness for the trial at hand.

I'd rather fight every boss in the game NG+7 with my fists and fat roll; continuing my journey and he snipes me with a sword at Mach 3. If he's bored, he gets his lesser Godrick soldiers to charge at me halfway across the map. Last attempt to fight him (attempt 26549562.3e) I managed to kill him only for a lesser Godrick soldier from across the map to snipe me, killing me instantly. Apparently, when Rick dies his consciousness instantly transports to another Godrick soldier, becoming even more of a god. What's worse, he's been fighting me at 1% of his power, constantly saying:
"I am Rick, soldier of God, and I have never (and will never) know defeat."
Furthermore, apparently he can use any moveset from any Fromsoft game; he switched into a spinny spinny Artorias, instantly killing me.

WHY IS HE SO HARD? His health pool is like a brick sh*thouse, and he won't even stagger. Not to mention his 20-hit combo. Like doesn't he have a stamina bar?
Behold, the mightiest character to ever grace a FromSoft game, a being so immense in power that it may surpass all of fiction's greatest icons. This entity is not simply a god in name, but a god in form as well, existing beyond the petty confines of mere computer code. I have borne witness to its presence, for it haunts my dreams and shadows my waking hours. The weight of its influence is palpable, a crushing force that leaves me weak and exhausted, my thoughts scattered and my body trembling. Its breath is heavy and oppressive upon my neck, and its primal grunts echo within my very being. At times, I fear that I am losing my grip on reality, for the might of Rick, the Soldier of God, is simply too great to comprehend. If there is a god, it's him.

Jokes aside, even for a tutorial boss this guy's a joke that isn't even funny. They couldn't even have made it a Godrick Knight or something? True King Allant was more of a threat than this guy.

For the third phase, I recommend running away as soon as he start charging the God's Wraith Lighting in his sword. There's an small corner next to the door where you enter to the arena, where you can be safe from the hit.
Another tip: Redmane Blood potion and Half-Baked Scarlet Duck Eye can make the difference in this battle.
