Drake Knight Set is an Armor Set in Elden Ring. Drake Knight Set is a black iron set worn by the unmet drake knights. Sets of Armor in Elden Ring are composed of four armor pieces which are Helms, Chest Armor, Gauntlets, and Leg Armor.
Where to find Drake Knight Set in Elden Ring
- You can find the Drake Knight Set in Crumbling Farum Azula. [Map Link]
- Go to the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace. From there, drop down to where the elevator shaft containing a waiting Warhawk is located (there is another Warhawk nearby, feasting on a corpse). After climbing down the nearby ladder, turn left and then face north. From here, drop onto a floating rock, and then again down to a platform on which you find the same elevator shaft from above. Before taking the elevator platform up (it will take you all the way to the top, above the level with the Warhawks; you will find a Beastman there), keep going to the end of the circular path outside the elevator and you'll find the chest containing the set.

If you like the armor set aside from the helmet like I do, try the unaltered Banished Knight helm with the Drake Knight chest piece and Drake Knight gloves + blackflame monk greaves. The iron on the greaves match the right-hand glove and the helmet pretty well. It's not perfect but it's the closest I feel like I could find to make pieces come together in a cohesive way.

literally no similarities to messmer's armor aside from the general color scheme
- Anonymous
A tip for yawl, confessor set, altered fire prelate chest piece, and this set all have the same metal color in some capacity, so you can pick and choose as you please.
- Anonymous
briar set matches perfectly with this. i swapped the chestpiece and greaves for the briar ones for a more bulky look while keeping the same color scheme

Glad the dlc announcement brought so much attention to this beautiful set
- Anonymous
I wish you could take off that disgusting wing and still keep the red cloth and feathers
- Anonymous
Mogh going to be hella confused the day the DLC drops and a good amount of people wearing this set show up at his arena
- Anonymous
I wanna do banished knight helm and the drake knight chest piece, but idk what to do for the greaves or gauntlets. Any suggestions?
- Anonymous
I didn't even know this armor set existed until people brought it up cause of the DLC announcement. I have beaten the game twice, almost three times, and have over 500 hours on it.
- Anonymous
imagine if messmer has nothing to do with dragons/drake knights and you all brought this set into the spotlight for weeks for no reason lmao

2022-2023: terrible drake night set
2024: at home messmer set
- Anonymous
You wear this set because it looks like what Messmer wears
I wear this because dragons are cool, and wore this even before the DLC trailer came out.
We are not the same.
- Anonymous
this armor looks terrible, the only reason people are interested in this garbage now is because MesSmEr has it
- Anonymous
This armour piece don’t look like Messmer’s at all. The chest-piece is chainmail and Messmer wear scale armour. The closest armour to Messmer’s is the altered chest-piece of the Nox Monk set

To lend further credence to the theory that Messmer is a Drake Knight, or possibly even their leader: The only Drake Knight you can currently find in the game, Eleonora, is in the employ of Mohg, but for undisclosed reasons sought a purifying tear, which would have allowed her to challenge him. Perhaps her alliance with Mohg was part of a plot to enter the Land of Shadow via Miquella's cocoon and meet Messmer. This would make Yura's story even more tragic because he might've completely misinterpeted Eleonora's reasons for becoming a Bloody Finger. And it'd also explain why this side quest and Bloody Fingers in general are given so much attention in the early game. I think it's all sort of coming together now, which I'm happy about because I've always felt something was missing from the game.

I am almost for sure confident that these drake knights are either soldiers of messmer or messmer is a drake knight. The armor messmer wears is just a more extravagant version of this set. And the almost omen looking horns tie to messmer and the dlc area once again as we know the crucible is going to play a large part of the dlc, as we see multiple enemies affiliated with the crucible (omen beastman, crucible rhino/hippo, omen sludge swamp area, ect.) I also assume that messmer and the people underneath the veil don't see omens and the crucible as a bad thing, which works well for messmer seemingly being an amalgamation of everything that goes against the erdtree. It makes sense that he likes omens.

anyone else realize this was the set that guy in the trailer was wearing? it couldntve just been me!

I always told you Drake Knights were cool
WELL LOOK WHO'S LAUGHING NOW
yeah I wore the phallus helm

after drakes leak the dragon meat on the helmet is makes sense

either there's something more to this set (lore-wise) or this was a rushed, cobbled-together idea. it can't be a coincidence that the 'dragon ornamentation' so closely resembles Omen horns, but there's no other apparent link between the Omen and dragons, or dragon communion. disappointing set with what could have been a really great look, ruined by the tacked-on dragon crap, and with unforgivable stats, especially for its location
- Anonymous
I just wish you could alter those stupid wings off but keep the red scarf/cape
- Anonymous
The set looks nice, minus the dragon meat on the helmet lol
- Anonymous
Wish the belt rested on the natural waistline like the noble's travelling garb and leather armor. It would look better on both body types. The carian knight armor technically has the same waistline as the drake knight armor, but gives the illusion of a natural waistline and that is part of why that armor looks so good.
- Anonymous
Take the full set, subtract the helmet, alter the chest piece, equip the aristocrat headband, double-fist dragon communion seals, now you're a lordly drake knight. Looks good for the elden throne cutscene. I recommend hair 13 or hair 31.
- Anonymous
I forgot this set existed, AND Isn't scrapped content?? Finally, something to distract me from Maliketh.
- Anonymous
Hmm...The drake knight set repeatedly say "drake knights speak not a word" while the drakeblood knight set state "such warriors are attracted to doctrines of few words" ...intriguing...
Drake armor + Queen's cresent crown + Fire prelate gaunlets + Crucible leggings
Peak fashion for female character!
and you have 52 poise and +3 INT for a bonus point

Banished Knight Helm (unaltered) + Drake Knight chest piece + Drake Night Gauntlets + Briar Greaves (or Veterans's, depending on whether or not you can tolerate the duck feet) = Absolute drip. Keep the dragon cape unless you're maidenless
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Absolute drip. The scales and wings on the chestpiece are awesome. Color of the metal is also nice. Pity the helmet shows your face, I don't really like those, but there are a lot others that go well with it.

Their descriptions reminds of DS3's Drakeblood armor set:
"Armor of the Drakeblood Knights, worshippers of the blood of dragons. The red cloth is said to symbolize their yearning for blood.
Dragon worship has captured the hearts and minds of warriors across the lands for many ages. Perhaps such warriors are attracted to doctrines of few words."
- Anonymous
I hope in dlc we get a Variation made without the leather thing and only with black iron.
- Anonymous
should have had the highest lightning resist in the game, what a shame
- Anonymous
Banished Knght Helm + Alterred Drake Armor + Drake Knight Gauntlets + Banished Knght Greaves fits perfectly well together... and reaches 51 Poise total as a cherry on the cake.
As long as you can afford the additionnal weights of Banished Knight's pieces of armor, they both are a full stat upgrades compared to their Drake Knight's counterparts.

You either love the Dragon Wing adornment on the chest piece, or you hate it. I hate it. Pls remove next patch from software.

The armor is the only good looking piece i been wanting with the depraved perfumer robe

Wish this set gave a bonus to dragon communion spells, but that would probably be overkill.

Set looks fire, just take the helmet off and replace it with a headband.

The helmet and pants look goofy but god DAMN if the the chest armor doesn't look hard as f*ck, altered or not
- Anonymous
Initally thought it looked like crap, but the altered helm and armour looks a lot better imo. I love the combination of leather and steel-armor.
- Anonymous
If ever there was an armor set that could do with a more fleshed-out armor altering mechanic, it would be this one.
- Anonymous
I really like Malenia's helm with this set.
Her hair works with the feathers, and there is actually a bit of gold embroidery around the neck of the chest piece (if you look closely in-game), and I think it really works.
I don't mind the unicorn horn sticking out of the drake Knight helmet so much as I mind the effing metal mullet in the back of it. Kind of gross.
- Anonymous
Fashion souls advice: Aristocrat headband is a way better alternative than the garbage helm. Goes great with my Aegon I Targaryen rp build.
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
Hideous garbage. At least Omen have a reason for their horns, here I see no reason for that stupid horn on the sallet.

Attack bonus, defense bonus against dragons maybe ? WHY do we have 60+ armor pieces, with absolutely NO differences except... weight. Yep, with few exceptions "Resist frostbite", "Move silently" OK. ER DEV should really play some other games. They would discover plenty of nice sets with, actually, advantages AND disavantages, bonus AND malus - and then you have to make a "choice". Armor sets designed for appearance only : LMAO.

Love it, super edgy
But it's an injustice the wings don't spread when I jump
- Anonymous
WTF were they thinking putting that horn on the top of the helmet? This is a great looking set ruined by that goofy a** decision.

She say, "Do you love me?" I tell her, "Only partly
I only love my bed and my momma, I'm sorry"

This set looks amazing. Remove the helmet. For a totally different vibe alter the chest piece. Unfortunately the poise is meh.
- Anonymous
Looks better on female characters and if you remove the coif from the helmet with armor alteration. Also, the chainmal underneath the dragon wings is beautifully designed. I think this is a flashy armor set that won't appeal to everyone, but I personally like it for my character.
- Anonymous
When you lool past her all red invader spirit filter it turns out Eleanora wears this set
- Anonymous
Veteran's Greaves almost look like they were made for this set, not only does the chainmail/leather straps on them flow seamlessly from the chestpiece (especially the altered version), they also share the same asymmetric style with the left side being more armored
- Anonymous
I find for a more mage-y character Alberich's hat fits pretty well.
- Anonymous
Idk where all this talk about the Drakeblood Knight Set is coming from. I looked it up and it literally looks like another variation of the typical John Darksoul armor. But I guess I should've expected that from people who played Dark Souls 2 and 3.

Why does the first part of this page say "worn by the unmet drake knights" instead of "worn by Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger"?
- Anonymous
I loathe to give away fashion souls secrets, but if you’re not a fan of the helmet, using the aristocrat headband instead will make you appear as a dragon hunting nobleman / scion. The red gems and gold ornamentation match the color scheme of the armor and gloves of the original set. I would pair it with giving your character Ganon-like orange hair to match the feathers on the chest as well.

Leyndell Soldier Greaves are almost an exact color match if you're looking for alternate leggings, and the Crimson Hood is a good replacement for the helm

This set is so awesome in a way that just isn't Dark Souls. Like, all the knight armour and such from Dark Souls/derivative from Dark Souls is cool and all (Elite Knight set from DS and the new Knight Set), but I love how the new 'feel' for the game as almost Celtic/Norse inspired has given us armour like this.

Anyone got a suggestion for a weapon that goes well with this set? The only ones I could find were Eleonora’s Poleblade and Rivers of Blood, but the first one just makes me an Eleonora cosplay and I’m not using Rivers of Blood

the dragon parts of this set dont match any dragon seen in the game. awful looking armor, just jarring

Real dope set but i use blaidd's furry mask instead of the helm because of that stupid horn.

If you don't like the helmet and, like me, appreciate the multiple knight helmets, I think both the Redmane Knight's helmet and the Gelmir Knight's helmet are great picks for replacement helmets. Of course, if you don't have my particular taste, I know there's a hundred other people with suggestions that may just be suited to you. All things considered though the normal helmet looks fine to me, it's silly but I like the little horn on the head.

Omensmirk Mask looks pretty good with this if you're looking for alternate helmet options for this set.
You want messmer's set so you can cosplay as the resident pretty-boy edgelord.
I want his set so I can replace the silly helmet with another silly helmet.
We are not the same.
