Fire Prelate Set is an Armor Set in Elden Ring. Fire Prelate Set is a rather heavy armor set, but offers good defences, particularly against Fire. Sets of Armor in Elden Ring are composed of four armor pieces which are Helms, Chest Armor, Gauntlets, and Leg Armor.
Where to find the Fire Prelate Set in Elden Ring
- The full set is dropped by Fire Prelate enemies. [Map Link]
- The full set with the non-altered armor is dropped by the Fire Prelate in front of the Guardian's Garrison in Mountaintops of the Giants.
- The Fire Prelate Armor (Altered) is dropped by the Fire Prelate in Fort Laiedd, Mt. Gelmir.

Fire Prelate Set Elden Ring Notes and Tips
- Though this is one of the 'oversized' armors (and this is true of those as well), some chest pieces will scale the legs down to a size appropriate to the chest armor the player is wearing.
- Poise updated to patch 1.07. See Patch Notes for details.

I'm glad FromSoftware is leaning more towards body positivity in every iteration they make. Slay those arteries, sweetie!

Just a quick little tip, your character's proportions effect some armor proportions, so a character with all the body sliders maxed out looks even more chonky with this on, and it's AMAZING. Seeing how all the chunky armors work with it is pure dumb fun. A character with all the sliders on their lowest possible setting also has some interesting effects, and allows for more accurate cosplays as skinny boys like mesmer, fire knights, those zamor fellas, etc.

Easily one of my favorite sets aesthetically. Love the chonky armors, it makes your character look more like a monster.
The Fire Knight Helmet is the perfect complement to the rest of the set. The Prelates red cloak matches the red of the Fire Knight's Capirote almost perfectly. The slight difference in shade is only noticeable when wet. Plus rotunda married to pointy hat makes the characters appearance all the more comically grotesque.
And finally, I do have to point out that this set of armor has the single highest combined resistances in the game, thanks to that ludicrously high fire resistance. One of the best poise stats too.
How can you not want to go full Lizzo on the Lands Between?

7/10 should have made the helmet slowly fill up with water when it rains

First they put Lizzo in Star Wars, and now she's in Elden Ring?!

High focus and very good fire resistance make that armor very good against multiple dlc bosses in the late game. For radahn I recommend a mixture between lionells and fire prelate sets.
Farmed this tonight so I can run around looking like a fat version of The Stanley Cup

This set has incredible Focus, so use it in the DLC Whispering Woods

as far as i know all armor has a 5% drop rate according to this website
- Anonymous
Neither the Fort Laiedd nor the Guardians’ Garrison Prelates dropped the set
- Anonymous
Either I have terrible luck or the chest piece has a really low drop rate. I farmed 3 helms, 2 gloves, and 3 legs before I could get a chest to drop. Pure Bladestone flashbacks

Dont you just love seeing someone wearing this with dual naginatas and bloodhound step. Brings tears to my eyes.

The helmets on the fire prelate enemies erupt when their faith to the flame is at its peak. It would've been cool if we got a fiery head if our faith was at like 60+

Sexy, efficient, masculine. What more could you want out of armor. Best set in the game.

Gauntlets and legs pair nicely with many very light armor chests, giving you that sweet poise breakpoint more often than not.

gauntlets look really good and with ceartain armors greaves gets a slim model which also looks pretty good. Great alternative to bullgoat if you want some fashion.
I use these with raging wolf and diallos' mask

really disappointed that the helmet doesn't have a fire in the bowl on the top tbh
-say something smart,kowalski.
+the Lordvessel is safe when smough wears it on his head instead of guarding it

Why is the pants so hard to farm, I got 5-6 helmet and chest piece, 12 gauntlets, even 2 whips, but no pants.

If you find yourself up against sleep or madness players in PvP, you might want to equip this set, as unfashionable as it might look, for the extra focus resistance. With the full Fire Prelate set and mottled necklace +1 you'll probably get around 400 resistance or more in every resistance category except vitality, so you won't be defenseless against bleed or scarlet rot either.

If, like me you are doing a Fire Monk Build, but are disappointed with the low poise of the Monk set, the Prelate greaves can give you a good amount of poise, and fit better half hidden by your robes, and gauntlets might as well be identical. Definitively recommended.
- Anonymous
The one at Fort Laiedd is easy to farm even at low levels. Just ride Torrent up to the entrance and run past the Prelate in to the building. He can be cheesed with a bow or whatever from there (fire monk outside will come in the fort but won't come in the building and leaves shortly afterwards).

With Silver Scarab and 10 Arcane :
20 Fire Prelates = 1x Helm ; 1x Armor ; 4x Gauntlets ; 1x Greaves.

The gauntlets and greaves go so well w so many other sets; hoslows, scaled, most of the knight sets, basically any heavy set w lighter metal. Good stats to boot

A comment on 29th August references the unaltered set with redmane knight helm having 101 poise. After update .07 it's now at 120 and a respectable 90 without the bull-goat's talisman. Also, the greaves scaling in size with certain chest pieces is very useful to get better protection and damage negation from lighter sets if your equip load is an issue, very nice touch that is.

pairs well with the fingerprint set for fashion. the hue and grunge of the metal is very similar
256 dsc at the prelate before chain after the zamor ruins. First run dropped both body and legs. Next 6 drops were body, legs, body, legs, body, body. *Sigh*

We all like a bit of fasion souls, this big boy armour and legs with either black knife, fire monk or bloodhound knight gauntlets look the absolute bollocks (very nice) I had to find gauntlets that looked good cos its the only part of the set that's never dropped for me.
Finding the right helm wasn't as easy I hate the prelate helm with the bowl on top, I'd like it more if it spouted fire in an AoE but it doesn't. The pumpkin helm makes me smile but I use a greatsword and it clips right through, Lionel's helm looks good too but has the same clipping issue. Black flame monk hood works very well with it and so does the land of reeds helm.
For comedy value, the radahn helm and fire prelate armour always reminds me of the nightmare woman that lived next door in a Louisiana trailer park years ago, right down to the dyed red hair and horns, her's were warts.
If you do PVP and want to be remembered, make your invasion memorable with the fire prelate set worn with either the zamor mask, okina mask, albinauric mask or octopus head. This is guaranteed to make any gank squad butt buddies you run into think WTF and maybe even buy you enough time to f**k their s**t up while they admire your sartorial elegance.
One last thing about this set I really like and I think goes well with the look is how the front of the chest piece has stains from years worth of ketchup drip, from countless burgers and hot dogs barbecued and eaten with the fire witches around a nice camp fire in the snow, that's what you call attention to detail.

Anyone from the UK who was around in the early 90s will notice an uncanny resemblance both in the fire prelate chest piece and helm to Sandra one of the Fat Slags from Viz around that time, I think the designer for this set was either a fan back in the day or got into them retro like.

this right here has the highest focus, making it oddly enough the most optimal armor for a madness build

I almost never see this armor set out in the wild. It's all bull-goat, veterans and sometimes lionels. So if you want a poise set that not every other player in the game is wearing it would be this one.
- Anonymous
What about blocks of brown sugar instead of actual coal for that bowl?
- Anonymous
Bull Goat Armor is a more heavy armor set per piece than this armor set. So this armor set isn't the heaviest armor set in the game. I dont now if any are more heavy than Bull Goat Armor set.
- Anonymous
Putting the legs on certain chest pieces cuts the extra girth out of the legs. I have with banished knight unaltered and the gauntlets of the prelate as well. 63 poise with unaltered banished knight helm + chest prelate arms + legs
- Anonymous
Gauntlets and legs pair well with Hoslow's, Redmane's and Fire Monk, and to a slightly lesser degree, Silver Blue mail and Black Knife chests for a boost in poise. Gauntlets can also be used for Blaiid's.

Best armor for Focus and Fire defense.
Second or tied for second in Poise, Physical, Strike, and Pierce defenses (and weight lol).
Tied sixth for Slash (only 2 points short of 1st), tied fifth for Magic (3.1), tied seventh for Lightning (2.8, not bad for a metal set), tied tenth for Holy (still only 2.1 short of 1st), and another 7th place tie for Immunity (11 points short of second place - no other set is even close to wearing shrooms).
Only real weak spots are Robustness (kind of a problem in PvP, save a swap spot for the horn talisman) and Vitality (stay away from Basilisks and glitchers, I guess).
Not bad for the most fashionable armor in the game.
