Think we'll get any more Reedlander sets in the DLC? A set like the Shinobi hunter from Sekiro would be so sick...

Nioh 2 made me a sucker for certain styles of attire.
It was called hakama in-game iirc. I just like how it looks tight around the shins and flexible at the knees.
Minor edit made, the portion of the armor removed by alteration is not fur, but a palm fiber rain cape (albeit one that's seen better days).

This isn't entirely correct. It says the armor can be found in the Isolated Merchant's Shack in northern Caelid, but to be more accurate, it can be purchased from the merchant living in the shack.
Some aesthetic alternatives to the chest are to use either the Raging Wolf Armor or Radahn's Lion Armor. (Both altered as capes rarely were used by Samurai, if at all.) Cleanrot's chest has a nice color scheme that matches the helmet, as well as layered arm-guards (Still on the chest; No need to swap gauntlets) that fit in with the samurai theme as well, but it is purely personal preference in the end.
Side note; I hope one of the DLC takes place in the 'Land of Reeds', as LoR Helm lore states it's been in an endless war, and it would be a nice opportunity for homage to Sekiro, which Elden Ring does use assets from.

In my opinion it is one of the best armor sets in the game. I am almost finished the game with the STARTING SET. It has busted amount of magic and overall defense + the weight overall do make fast movements and dodges while being lightweight and somewhat tanky. In my opinion one of the best sets. What I changed is the armor piece from the merchant in Kaleid because it is stronger than the starter set + the helmet to white mask as I using Uchigatana 2 of them currently level 24

Btw the Isolated Merchant's Shack that's linked is the one that's in the Weeping Peninsula, not Caelid! Idk how to edit stuff lmao.

From Wikipedia: "Ashihara no Nakatsukuni (葦原の中つ国, transl. The middle country of reed beds) is, in Japanese mythology, the world between Takamagahara (Heaven) and Yomi (Hell). In time, the term became another word for the country or the location of Japan."

The starting chest piece for the samurai is weaker then the one bought by the merchant. It is also the only piece of the set that is different

The vendors shack is located directly North from the Smoldering Wall grace (right below the telescope). It’s across a large cliff and almost directly East from the minor tree in that area.

Sold by Isolated Merchant in Calida. Also, someone said this is the only samurai armor which is incorrect the white reed is also samuraish.

Kind of lame how they only have one Samurai outfit in the game, could have improved on that and added some more Samurai/Ninja type gear.

Pretty heavy and doesn't provide that much defense, but 100% my favourite set
