Tree Sentinel Set is an Armor Set in Elden Ring. The Tree Sentinel Set is a Heavy Weight armor that boasts superior overall Physical defenses and high Fire defense. Sets of Armor in Elden Ring are composed of four armor pieces which are Helms, Chest Armor, Gauntlets, and Leg Armor.
Golden armor of the heavy cavalry Tree Sentinels who serve the Erdtree.
Where to find Tree Sentinel Armor Set in Elden Ring
The entire Tree Sentinel Set can be found in the following location:
- Obtained inside the Auriza Hero's Grave. [Elden Ring Map Link]
- Acquiring the set requires you to destroy three specific Chariots. Doing this involves quite a few steps:
- From this first Chariot Hall, drop down the openings on either side just before the second ramp.
- In the room below, head west and up the steps, and then turn right in the next corridor. Follow the path and you will end up in a large Chariot Hall where two Chariots are running almost side by side, with a short delay between them. These are the Chariots you need to destroy.
- Head down the hall all the way to the bottom, where there is a large pit behind some pillars. Looking down, you will find several wooden beams you can drop down onto.
- Navigate your way down onto the lowest beam you can drop down to and then head south towards an archway with a ladder in the back. Climb up the ladder to reach another Chariot Hall with a single Chariot.
- Wait for the Chariot to head downwards and then run up the ramp and enter the chamber on the right where you will find a flamethrower pillar. Hit the pillar to raise it, which will activate the circular golden seal in the middle of the large double Chariot Hall, teleporting the Chariot from the third hall and causing it to collide with the double Chariots.
- From here, you will need to return to the large hall to witness the collision event and collect your items. The easiest way to do this is by killing yourself or using the Memory of Grace tool (if you don't care about your runes) to return to the Site of Grace. Alternatively, from the flamethrower pillar room, return to the third Chariot Hall, go all the way down the ramp and turn left into a corridor. Take another left to find a lift which will take you up to a chamber where the flamethrower pillar was raised. Wait for breaks between flame spews and head through the corridor in the north. There is an alcove on the right halfway through the corridor which you can use to safely wait for another break before heading towards the end. At the end of this corridor, you can turn left to return to the large Chariot Hall. After the Chariots crash into each other, you will receive the Armor Set along with the Ash of War: Holy Ground.

Tree Sentinel Set Elden Ring Notes and tips
- The Tree Sentinel Armor can be altered to the Tree Sentinel Armor (Altered) to remove the cape.
- Obtaining the set can also be done by using Margit's or Mohg's Shackle at any point in the level. Using them will raise the flame pillar that allows for the chariots to crash into each other.
- Poise updated to patch 1.07. See Patch Notes for details.

Okay so, fun fact I guess. I like to use certain item a lot to reveal illusory walls and hit flame pillars from behind walls, turns out I accidentally activated whatever teleports the chariot and I instantly got all the chariots destroyed having 0 clue of what I was doing as I just entered the dungeon and used the stonekey for the sword at the start of the grave.

Fun Fact: the amount of poise the says it has is a LIE it actually has 60 poise NOT 82 poise BUT if you equip the bulls-goat talisman you can have 80 poise with that talisman! and it has high physical defence and high fire defence! so i recommend you getting it but its hard to get but its worth it

the helmet on the leyndell knight set looks really solid and is good if u dont wanna spend many points for equip load

This full set worn with bullgoat talisman happens to be among the most efficient way (weight wise) to reach 109 poise to tank single first offstoc hit. The absolute most efficient is probably to replace the helm and gauntlets with crucible and lionel respectively but it will cost you your drip and you are only 0.7 miyazaki lighter than the dripin full tree sentinel set

Veteran's helm goes hard with this. Got that gold/silver look. Plus you look like a hardened paladin.

I use this with the aristocrat headband and the golden order greatsword. Truly a lord of all that is golden

Maybe they will make a dark version of this set in the DLC!

To my surprise the chariots just exploded in front of me and I got the set probably because of a bug.

It’s so unbelievably hard to not use this on paladin characters

my favorite set in the game. Say what you want about the golden order, but damn do they know how to make a fly set of armor.

When you first get to the room with the double chariots, you can use Margit's or Mohg's shackle to trigger the flamethrower and then watch the chariots collide.
- Anonymous
If you desire different style, Use with clean rot knight chestpiece, radahn chest piece, or alberich’s robe

Swap out the helm for malenia's helm, equip bull-goat's talisman. Hit 101 poise, passing final PvE breakpoint.
Conquer the lands between as Fat Malenia.

"Poise is redundant... for as long as any player decides to 2-hand a weapon while wearing this. Then, it's back to 1.09"

This set's possible one of the best sets to get for any playthrough (if one is worried about getting hit). It's physical and non-physical damage negations are second only to the Bull-Goat Set while also being slightly lighter. With damage negation talismans and consumables, its damage negation percentages can easily reach close to 50%.

Running this set along w/ a Troll's Golden Sword and the Erdtree Greatshield on my RL150 I like to call the "Erdtree Pursuer" (homage to the Pursuer from DS2), looks dope as hell and is a lot of fun. Basically turns you into a golden tank. Build is below if anyone wants to try it:
Class: Prophet
Vigor: 60 (2134 HP)
Mind: 22 (131 FP)
Endurance: 40 (156 ST)
Strength: 30
Dexterity: 10
Intelligence: 7
Faith: 50
Arcane: 10
RH: Troll's Golden Sword (AoW: Golden Vow*) - AR 821 (914*)
LH: Erdtree Greatshield (+10 for max Golden Retaliation strength)
Talismans: Erdtree's Favor +2, Great-Jar's Arsenal, Green Turtle Talisman, Crimson Amber Medallion +2
Physick: Holy-Shrouded Cracked and Greenburst Tears
Holy Water and Sacred Order Pots are also a personal favorite addition of mine, plus they're the closest practical thing to the DS2 Pursuer's orb attack.

If you plan to use this set with only the Great Stars, get 35 endurance, it'll get you to just below the threshold of a heavy roll. It's my preferred setup when using the mimic tear.

This is a really dope armor set, though it's a pity that most players who wear it don't have the slightest sense of fashion and don't try to combine it with weapons or other armor pieces of the same color palette. Haligtree knight's helm doesn't count, bc it makes you look even more sweaty.

Amazing looking armor ruined by the atrocious tree mohawk. It's criminal for the helmet to not have an altered version without it. Such a shame. Praying future DLC or updates fix it.

I got this one randomly by hitting the fire thrower, didnt even know this was a thing

It's a great set stats and fashion wise but can be a bit equip load hungry, which is a problem if you're a caster and can't spare the END. If you swap out the arms and legs for Cleanrot armour pieces, it's a good bit lighter without sacrificing much (if any imo) fashion. The metal colour is identical, and the engravings blend pretty well. The helmet is the most flexible, anything with a good bit of gold on it will look nice, but personally I run the Twinned Helm.

This set just gets heavy armor right. If you want a gold set of armor this is the best choice both in terms of stats, but also in fashion. Just an overall amazing set and that cape is beautiful. Seems that many tryhards have been gravitating to this set recently though at least it looks great so that’s nice at least. If any armor is to become meta it better be one of the better looking ones.

Want a heavy armored look? Want a nice gold armor? Want really high holy resistance because you're done with Elden Stars existing? Then take this, my fellow Tarnished. Cause a car crash, and thou shalt be rewarded with one of the most fashionable and functional sets I've ever laid my eyes upon.

You can use either Margit or Mogh Shackles to destroy the chariots on the first drop to the right where you can take cover, where the chariots pass through above you. After some seconds they will be destroyed.

Wear with Omensmirk Mask + Bullgoat Talisman to get 101 Poise. Don't forget your Dogskin Shield and Bass Cannon, become Legendary.

This is a really nice set. The engraving detail on it is jaw dropping, I like the beast champion armour with a different helm and the unaltered banished knight chest armour as well.

I obviously don't know who wrote out the directions for making the chariots crash. But following the steps given here is possibly the most complicated and unnecessary way you could go about it.
You don't need to follow any of the directions given here to get the TS armour. If you have Margit's or Mohg's shackle, which you should by the time you get to this dungeon, all you need to do is use it once maybe halfway down the first ramp then forget about it. When you get far enough into the dungeon the chariots will spawn then almost immediately crash into each other. That's it, you automatically get the armour and the holy ground AoW as well, it isn't looted from where the chariots crash.
If you're not fond of the helm, a fun little aesthetic 'bug' is that you can wear the unaltered Cleanrot Helm with this set, but it will appear as the altered version w/o the reduced stats. The CRH looks insanely identical (material-wise) as the TS set, and provides only slightly less damage reduction (Exception of Pierce; They're tied.) with an equally slight weight reduction of 1.7.

I just got it along with some Ash of War despite doing absolutely nothing except for getting hit by a chariot near a Grave Violet near a basilisk,

Hot take; this is literally the only heavy armor in the game that doesn't look really weird. Banished Knight comes pretty close but for whatever reason the shape of its cuirass makes your character look like they have a potato for a torso. This set's got it all; shiny gold armor, gigantic impractical pauldrons, and the extremely rare cape that isn't torn to shreds
- Anonymous
Can’t poise katanas or thrust swords that are two handed. Great hammer hyper armor stacked on tree sentinel armor can’t poise the above either if they put cragblade on it
Hopefully this can replace the Veteran's Armor as the sweat set. At least it looks pretty.
- Anonymous
They did it, they really did it. Look at that poise, it's beautiful

it now has 2 more poise than veteran's armor total. 1 on chest 1 on legs.

One of the best heavy armor sets and maybe the best looking in general. Pity its locked behind some goofy puzzle.
- Anonymous
Why this have so much lower poise than the veteran's set when it weights the same?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
So, if you have the Margit Shackle, or the Mogh Shackle, it also works perfectly, you just go where the two big rolling machine are, and then you use it, they will collapse and hit each other, you will instant get the set of armor. GG :) I love this technique, basically the Shackle disactivates the pillar
and by doing so you change the spawn location of the chariots. They will Shattered in a beautiful way. Enjoy

Flower hood works well with the armor set, if you don’t like the helmet.

So... This Set + Karolos Glintstone Crown + Zweihander + Banished Knight's Shield (for looks) or Great Turtle Shell (for function) = THE LEGEND?

- Anonymous
Ah... Golden Havel Armor... Weapon and shield to match the set too.
- Anonymous
It's doable on just step 1-2 or 1-3, you just need to use a shackle
- Anonymous
You can use Margit or Morgott's Shackles to activate the Chariot without leaving the tracks, Just did it 12 minutes ago

this set got me through the rest of the game from the point of obtaining it. Giants Armor throwback. a incredibly awesome heavy set.
While by no means a bad set, especially in fashion, Radahn's set, Beast Champion set, and the Banished Knight set all have the same poise at slightly less weight.
- Anonymous
By far the best looking armor that gets you past the threshold where poise becomes effective. A must for any melee build that still wants Elden Bling
- Anonymous
Noticed, if you're wearing full set when arriving to Brace of Haligtree. Normal Knights wont attack you. But Cleanrot knights will engage. Cool thing.
- Anonymous
Haven't tested the exact numbers myself but apparently hyperarmor is 1/2 poise + 30, so 60 poise will stay consistent. Using veterans / bullgoat was annoying until I found this out, since they lose poise on HA (which all colossals have 1h and 2h). In summary, tree sentinel set + trolls golden sword (sacred blade AoW)+ brass/golden beast greatshield = DRIP
- Anonymous
Tree Sentinel Chest and Gauntlets + Hierodas Crown + Bullgoat Greaves = Giant Dad
- Anonymous
Didnt even know this existed till I started using this wiki. Now it's my favorite set

The brass shield goes really well with this set. It saves lots of weight compared to the erdtree shield and has good stats.
- Anonymous
This is what I’m planning to wear when I sit in the Elden Throne.
- Anonymous
The minute I saw him in Limgrave, I thought it looks almost like Havel’s set but in gold. I knew then it was the only set I wanted to wear.
- Anonymous
Best looking item set in the game. Unfortunately no reason to use this set because same weight as Veteran's which has significantly more poise. Unless you REALLY want the fire defense. Poise is important though.
- Anonymous
i got this completely on accident because they just randomly broke for no reason
- Anonymous
Just got this set completely by accident. I was so confused I had to come here lol I foolishly died to the fire pillar, ran past the basilisks but then died again getting cornered by them under the chariot ramp and boom random items

One of my favorite armor sets in the game. It pairs really well with Malenia's helm for if you want to run Stronk Malenia.
This armor set with hierdos helm makes giant dad
