Raging Wolf Chest/Head + Scaled Greaves/Gauntlets nets you 41 poise while still matching.

Lets lock one of the coolest sets in the game behind a questline where you need to join a group of serpent worshipping, murderers that kill innocent tarnished for fun!

Does anyone know where the picture from the Image Gallery came from? Is there a HD version anywhere?

Yes i wear the signature armor in every fromsoft game, how could you tell? *gigachad*

If you're like me, the mane on the helmet generally won't be your cup of tea, but for this armor set I feel it's necessary. The back of the chestpiece is a bit too flat and static, so having that flowing mane at the back really helps the aesthetic of the set. Also, make your head 20-30 or so bigger than you usually would; helmet's a bit on the small side otherwise.

if you want to feel more 'canon', this helmet, prelate gloves and the too big prelate pants, and blaidd's wolf armor fits well for a mix of fashion and high stats and poise. feels like an evolved raging wolf set
- Anonymous
if you want to use this to feel more 'canon', this helmet, the prelate gloves and pants for a combination of drip and higher poise and stats, although the pants are looking kinda thicc. and any silver armor with a cape, like blaidd's and its a wolf armor too lol. with this it looks like an evolved raging wolf set

"According to the old legends, wolves are the shadows of the Empyrean.
Vargram aspired to such a state himself." Hes using the Godslayer's Greatsword. Did he want to be the Gloam-Eyed Queen's shadow?

George elden ring. The famous protagonist of elden known for his famous quotes such as “every ring is elden” and “elden always has its ring”

Managed to miss this set on two separate playthroughs. On the first because I didn't do the Manor questline for the sake of my roleplay, and on the second because I didn't know killing Rykard ended the contract with Bernahl. Oh well, next time. ;^;

Everything needs to be obtainable even after the main Story is complete.
Design your quest to be completed through at anytime.
I know its part of the story but simply beating Maliketh screws players out of Alot of Items and he's not even the final boss!
Absolute Bullsh*t.

tarnished canon armor feels good to use. elden lord having that drip

I want to be a shadow wolf bro. 2 minute miles and 10 foot verticals sounds fun.

I feel like this and elden lord set mix match would look good, gonna test later

I have all the NPC in Volcano Manor, did all their request but Bernahl didn't mention anything throughout the whole questline.
He has only talked about the shame for his family and nothing else, how do you even trigger this event?
- Anonymous
And I thought obtaining the Faraam set in DS2 was a pain. Considering this is suppose to be the flagship armor set for ER, it is kind of lame that you can miss this set esp in your first blind playthrough.

I have a feeling Vagram would be really important at one point, and its related to Miquella. Raging Wolf armor says he wants to be a wolf because Empyrean's shadows are all wolves, and he wants to be a Shadow. This shadowless Empyrean is likely to be Miquella, whose role in the main plot is almost entirely cut. It is implied Miquella is held in high regard by everyone in the game, so he's most likely the chosen successor of Marika. Miquella even made the Haligtree through his Empyrean powers (no influence from the Great Will, unlike the Erdtree). So as the heir, Miquella needs a loyal dog (his shadow). Malenia is a good guardian but she is too flawed and an equal to Miquella, she might not be as reliable as a loyal beast.

helm kinda reminds me of the cainhurst armor from bloodborne

This set and likely the Bastard Sword is the "canon" MC setup
- Anonymous
Fire Prelate arms and legs go well with this set if you want some of that Elden Blind with higher defense/poise
- Anonymous
Love power stancing guts swords with the set. Feels appropriate.
- Anonymous
People be saying this is the basic b**** set. And yet, radahns set is the only one I see people wearing lmao.

Lol. You have to interact with NPCs first before you unga bunga bosses. This is why it ends up badly for you.

If you think about it, the game has 3 seemingly "poster" armors:
-Knight Set appears on the tutorial infos
-Raging Wolf Set appears on the trailers
-Fingerprint Set appears on the cover art

OOPS, KILLED THE BOSS, GUESS I GOTTA WAIT TILL NG+ TO GET THIS SET! Thanks, Fromsoft!
- Anonymous
Don't ******* kill the Volcano Manor boss till you've completed all the assassination quests. I ******* did and the rest of those quests are locked and now I'll have to beg on /r/patchesemporium for it, or else start NG+...
- Anonymous
So is this what we're going with as the default look for the Tarnished? Since it was in so many of the promos. Like the Elite Knight set in Dark Souls.

WARNING! DO NOT ATTACK VOLCANO MANOR AS AN OUTSIDER OR KILL ANY BOSSES THERE.
You can VERY easily get this set right after beating Stormveil.
1. Go to the middle of Liurnias lake and find the lady in the gazebo. Do her quest, she'll thank you and tell you to meet her at the Grand Lift of Dectus.
2. You have three options
A. Get both medallion pieces and go up the lift. You can teleport to Caelid via Patches' chest.
B. Use the hidden path which involves a fight with a Wyrm and potentially another Dragon
C. Get eaten by an iron virgin and teleport to volcano Manor.
3. Join the Volcano Manor covenant. Talk to Bernahl. Exhaust his dialogue.
4. Buy the poison mist spell. You'll need it.
5. Do the invasions tanith tells you.
6. Talk to Bernahl after the second invasion he'll ask for your help.
7. Get to the Capital outskirts. Cheese the draconic tree Sentinel with poison mist (look it up on YT). You can use godricks great rune to hit the faith requirement if need be.
8. get into leyndell, run past everyone into the fortified major. Do the invasion. Let Bernahl do the work.
Done!

Honestly I think this set looks kinda lame. Blaidd, Fingerprint, Cleanrot, Bloodhound, Malekith, Black Knife, etc look way cool. Helm looks kinda depry tbh
- Anonymous
So the cover armor can only be gotten by invading some rando and you lose your shot at it if you kill certain bosses? Miyazaki really has outdone himself lmao, I'm actually speechless.

Damn it, I literally JUST killed Rykard before coming to this page. Guess I'm waiting for NG+ :/
i'm happy i didn't do what the stupid messages were telling me to kill bernhall
- Anonymous
People going crazy for it, when this armor is one of the most dull looking, except for "trailer drip" if you care about it
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
So the canon armor of the main character? Or just the trailer armor of the game ?
- Anonymous
- Anonymous
I'm not really sure what the problem is here with all these comments. You've messed something up if you cannot receive this armour following the Volcano Manor quest chain. This is what NG+ is for. ALL souls games were never intended for you to get EVERYTHING in a single playthrough.

people complaining they missed out on this armor. This is why you never kill npc's. not even patches.
- Anonymous
I never see this armor set being worn. I have done over 70 invasions and probably equal co-op experiences and besides myself the only other bloke I’ve ever seen wearing it was just one of the random phantoms you see naturally appearing every once in a while in your world. In fact there’s a lot of armor sets with this issue. All I ever see is generally the same 7 armor sets. Like snow witch set or royal remains. I wonder why that is.

I killed knight bernhall before joining the volcano manor and ended up not being able to get the armor because he shows up in the manor and gives you the letter to go kill the raging wolf... Genuinely upset.
- Anonymous
One of the only NPCs i killed, and i really wanted this armor set from the begining, s@#t
- Anonymous
Gotta be honest, kind of feels like a slap in the face to lock the flagship set of the game behind the ****head faction.

I was still able to fight him and get his set after defeating the serpent boss

Ask long as you don't talk to Tanight once you kill the boss of the Volcano Manor you can still go the missions.

I want this set but I don't want to associate with the Volcano Manor.

Is there no other way to get this other than joining the a-hole club?

The only problem of the game for me is stuff like this. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT I NEED TO KILL THE DUDE BEFORE I NEED TO KILL RYKARD ??? I am now 80h+ in the game and very sad to miss this set. Literally do i need to read everything in the wiki before i proceed in the game ? Like why is even they do that ? Just let me get my drip bro

The Raging Wolf chest (altered) without the cape plus Blaidd’s gauntlets and boots.

You really don’t have to defeat Hoslow first before getting the Bernahl letter. You can get the Red letter and Bernahl’s letter at the same time, meaning you can get the set before that.
Just go to the first floor Leyndell grace and the summon sign be where the Albricht set is.
- Anonymous
damn, I killed Bernahl early after I bought all his ash of wars since I thought he'd drop a cooler one. No quest for me I guess.
- Anonymous
what about this is tailored towards dex users? that addition in the description is so dumb
- Anonymous
Strange im pretty sure i killed rykard and then invaded and got his set maybe not killing tanith is the req?
- Anonymous
i have already killed bernahl but have accepted the volcano manor quest, can i still obtain this armour?
- Anonymous

is there no way to get to the invasion sign after beating maliketh? if so massive bummer

almost everything easily obtainable in network test is a pain in the ass to get in the real game. this set, crucible knight set, beast claw, or even carian knight's set is a sneaky hide. shame
- Anonymous
I killed bernahl for his armor, thats that for this run i guess...
- Anonymous
Ah yes, the legendary Vargram, that I can't even meet outside a questline about killing Tarnished, truly the dark souls of world building.
- Anonymous
I just got to the area where it is and can't wait to get it.
Also, I personally love the design of this armor. It's kinda looks like a hybrid of a knight and a viking.
- Anonymous
I had no idea and killed Rykard before completing this. This is by far the best looking set yet, and i missed out on it. 80 hours into my first playthrough. I'm sad.

I killed rykard before the second invasion. Everyone's left the manor I think I missed the armour set.
- Anonymous
Is there a way to get to the invasion sign after you`ve beaten Maliketh? Rykard is still alive, got the letter from the knight sitting in the chair, the marker is on the map, but the entrance to the building where you find the invasion sign is blocked and there seems to be no way of getting in. I guess untill someone finds a way, don`t kill the next boss after godskin duo in Farum Azula, otherwise you won`t be able to get the set.
Guess I ****ed up because I killed Rykard and all the NPCs disappeared along with the target. I had no idea, fml.
- Anonymous
Warning do not kill the lord of the manner before doing this you will lose the ability to get this set
- Anonymous
jesus christ, i thought this is gonna be the starter ''knight'' set, but this armor is locked behind mid-late game quest! i've spent 18 hours exploring limgrave and peninsula, guess i'll have to be patient with this insane drip
- Anonymous
Progress to the volcano manor. Once there you will talk to the npc sitting near the lost grace. After this you can walk down the hallway to get a letter to go and invade another npc. You will do two of these invasions and then go to that room and exhaust the man sitting in the chair next to the tables dialogue. Once that is done you will then go and fight two more enemies in an invasion along side the guy you just talked too. After that he will give you the armor. Happy hunting, and I bid you luck young tarnished

I hate how 90% of the cool sets are behind some quests or other stuff, I miss the dark souls times where everything is just in some chest and not locked behind long ass quests you only can do late game
- Anonymous
If you’ve defeated the main boss within Volcano Manor before defeating the targets Bernahl has sent you to kill, the objective disappears from the map as well as Bernahl himself
- Anonymous
You get this from doing three NPC invasions in the volcano manor
- Anonymous
Defeating Rykard will lock you out of getting this armor as far as I know. Just a warning to anyone in the process of or wanting to get this armor.
- Anonymous
completing the Volcano Manor Quest makes the Target on the Map dissapear (for the raging wolf) So i guess i can't get it in this playthrough anymore...
- Anonymous
you can get this armor from killing Bernahl, but the version you get is the one with the cape. Theres one early game dungeon that gives you a needle and altering kit, that lets you remove the cape and get the "original" wolf armor :D. Hope this helps!! get on grinding boys
- Anonymous
It's obtained from the questline started from Bernahl in Volcano Manor. If you killed Bernahl, I believe you can't get this armor.
- Anonymous
Make sure you don't kill Knight Bernahl, if you do you can't get the quest for this armor!
- Anonymous
You get this armor set through the Volcano Manor questline. After killing 2 two targets, you will receive a target from the merchant Bernahl (guy in the manor with the beefy armor.) The target is located in Leyndell, Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm. Killing them drops the set of armor. Pretty late game for all you cosplaying weirdos.

One of the few armor sets that actually look good. Looks interesting, cool while not too edgy and most importantly practical unlike some bs sets like bullgoat or lionel
