Bull-Goat Set is an Armor Set in Elden Ring. Bull-Goat Set Great Horned Tragoth's Armor Set. Covers its wearer with a pair of giant horns, providing staunch poise. Tragoth is a famed knight of assistance. Countless Tarnished, facing adversity in the Lands Between, have survived thanks only to the Great Horned One's aid. Where to find Bull-Goat Set in Elden Ring
Once Patches has moved to Volcano Manor during his questline, he will give you a letter to kill Great Horned Tragoth. Note that you need to join the Volcano Manor covenant and do a kill mission first for Patches to show up and give you this kill mission. You get the armor set immediately after killing Tragoth. I like to think that FromSoftware was like: "Lets do the best armor in the game, but lets also make it heavy and ugly". The reason is that they know that: A) Soulslike Players care about the Drip; B) If someone uses it, they will have to use a lot of endurance to not fat roll with it.

no one would've complained if they just brought havel's set into elden ring

Good riddance to this in PvP. Ugly as all hell and annoying as all hell to fight against when it was used to minmax.

After patch 1.10 this set and every single set of heavy armor no longer is viable. Poise was the only reason to wear heavy armor as you can reach similar damage reduction with lighter armor, now that patch 1.10 has thrown poise away you are just wasting equipment load on heavy armor
- Anonymous
Can anyone drop me this I missed doing patches’ quest. I’m still ng and wanna get this for my ng+
- Anonymous
Heavy armors are a complete joke. It's so hard to take the game seriously when 40% of your character model is clipping through these pieces and everything else. Zero attention to detail.
- Anonymous
Maybe someone could confirm but I think this set might have a special effect that attacks will drop you to 1 hp instead of killing you when wearing the full set. Or maybe I'm just seeing things and gotten lucky. But I count 4 times where I've dropped to 1 hp rather than die.

Even without the pvp stereotypes this thing just looks downright horrendous. Such a downgrade from dark souls heavy armours. I miss you black iron set

Dunno why people are hating.. havels had the ridiculous skirt and optimus prime feet, equally as ridiculous, though yeah you cant beat that helmet. Still this reminds me of old school dnd or fantasy depictions of dwarves. Might be because of RR Martin but i like the more western fantasy feel in ER

"Everyone looks the same."
"90% of pvpers wear the same armor."
"Bull-Goat and Fingerprint Shield everywhere!"
"It's not even original anymore."
You know what else is unoriginal? Level 150+. Of course everyone you meet wears that same armor, because they are overleveled noobs same as you. In fact, if YOU are not wearing it, that's on you.
Being a level 125, i have not met a single person who would wear that ugly thing. Well, it's natural, no one have extra 25-55 points lying around to spend on small poise bonus and may be Fingerprint Shield.

Look incredibly awful... And the high poise its not a reason good enough to wear it

Step 1: get this armor
Step 2: two bleed spears
Step 3: poke
Step 4: point down
Step 5: teabag
Congrats you won the duel, skilled combatant!

Looking silly is the true price you psy for wearing this crutch.

Be aware, damage negation from armor has diminishing returns. Equip this full set. It should give you 45 physical negation (helm is 7.5, +20.4 from chest is 27.9, +5.2 is 33.1, +11.9 is 45) but you will only have 38.505.

I would love a hornless version of the chestpiece with lower stats
- Anonymous
Please FROM, let us alter this armor to remove the god-awful ugly horns! I'd gladly sacrifice some stats if it means this set gets to look halfway decent.

POV: You're about to have the worst duel of your entire life

I can tolerate the horns, but then I looked closer from behind and above and they were asymmetrical...

Much more playable than DS3's overly heavy Havel's and Smough's armors though part of that is owed to the return of passive poise. Chestpiece still boasts the best poise:weight ratio, but leggings are close behind and are a more reasonable amount of weight to slot into a typical build, so you will find most poise-optimal kits including the legs over the chestpiece. I do dislike how hard it is to make it look fashionable, even the whole set together is rather ugly, that helmet is irredeemable. Havel's and Smough's at least looked good as full sets.

This set has grown on me over time. It’s really fun to use lighting ram with this and just roll around chasing people.

I wear this to tank for people in PvE
You wear this to cheese PvP with a katana
We are not the same

I defeated the enemy carrying the ram armor after I found the place indicated on the letter given by pachas. But it did not give me any armor , where can I find it ?

If you kill rykard without getting the quest you cant get this
- Anonymous
Can I still get this if I accidentally killed Patches? I'm assuming no, but I can still hope

Swapping for a different helmet or wearing none will make this armor look much more decent, all while retaining good defense and poise.

This type of armor is why I bring eclips shatol into my PVP fights,(ash of war applies death blight to your weapon)

I wanna use this with golden vow, black flames protection, and endure on fists for a Senator Armstrong build

YouTube build set tutorial step 1:
Develop a sense of individuality and don’t be a copy/paste on pvp, it’s so boring and will prematurely kill the game

I really don't like this set, it's so goofy and ridiculous looking, particularly cos of those stupidly massive nipple horns, Havel's set was awesome bulky and imposing looking and made you look like an absolute tank, this though? Sure it's bulky looking, but it's mainly just goofy-looking as hell.
This is such a pain to have to deal with, and it comes with so few consequences for the person using it. I wish they'd just stop.

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
- Anonymous
Because the way Elden Ring calculate defense (to stop player becoming op), this set only provide about 39% physical defense if you put all four on your body.
- Anonymous
The power of POISE and physical defense, but comparatively, really low resistance considering the weight. Choose wisely for your pvp set!

It would be great if this armor had an alternative version, where the two large horns on the chest are removed. Cool design, but those two huge horns...

This armor might as well be a test to see if you're really willing to sacrifice Elden Bling for the sake of better stats.

i got to the patches fight so late i melted him and didn't realize not killing him was an option. RIP
- Anonymous
How are you supposed to maneuver your weapon with those giant horns on the chest? I really would like to alter this armor to remove the horns, damn it From!
- Anonymous
The armor number on wiki isn't correct anymore. In the game, set has 30+ ish phys defence, because all armour pieces are stacking MULTIPLICATIVELY instead of ADDITIVELY, but the game stats showing the correct number in the end.
Poise and Resistances (Immunity, Focus etc) are stacking additively.
Idk if that's some patch chance or what.

this set is so over the top and goofy. i would expect nothing less from the best armor in the game

It's actually very good looking expect those stupid horns. Who even thought that was a good idea?
- Anonymous
they really went out of their way to see just how ugly people are willing to be to win.
- Anonymous
If i wear full bull goats i get excellent absorption in all stats and enough poise to poise through half the weapons in the game. useful for fighting ganks... but on the other hand I really like the pretty pretty princess dress.
decisions, decisions, decisions...

The armor make 2 handing weapon ugly
A beautiful way is just replace the armor with veteran armor
If you dont want to look like your character skip leg day because the bullgoat greaves, i would recommend you to go and increse your character leg to maximum at the royndtable or rennala
Other than that, this is my favorite armor to make GIANTDAD BUILD
Edtree favor+2, giantjar talisman, bullgoat talisman and greatshield dragon talisman
Using turtle shell on your back for stamina reggen and zweihander(gianthunt) for pvp and ruin greatsword for pve
Eassy giantdad build in elden ring

Gotta love how they brought back broken poise and heavy armor wearers using fast dex weapons. It is almost like tying equip load to endurance was A BAD IDEA in Dark Souls. Fixed that for two games then promptly brings it back...because Miyazaki is insane.

This is Havel's drinking buddy on the weekends. The best protective gear in the game. Birds and flies smash their faces just around it's aura like crashing into a wall. However, it's also the heaviest set for the price of the best resistances. I hope you do regular leg days before you wear it.

Helmet look ugly
I use shield and Pike so the horn on the armor and arm not going through the weapon and the shield
But the helm i cant stand it so i put on the greathelm which i buy from the merchant in caelid and oh boy let me tell you that is my new fashion right there
Bulky tanky and greatfashion

The chest horns are bulky and clip through your arms a lot, the greaves have those stupid genie shoe curled toes, and the gauntlets look like they're wrapped in barbed wire. The helmet is pretty good for fashion, though. Even though chests and leggings matter a lot more for poise, that helmet is well worth the elden bling.

I know this is a popular set or at least its used a lot in pvp but I really don't like the design.

I'm sure if they would have released the golem set it would have been the heaviest and strongest and most over used set in game for sure lol

"Everyone looks the same" "they all wear the same armour" uhhhh we wear it because its good...? I don't want to wear a worse armour, thats just silly

I may forgive the ugly helmet and colors but why just WHY my hands and weapon clips through the horns. Same happens with the greatswords and sorcerer helms and capes. Plz just implement these simple mechanics. this game has to be perfect

Not worth the weight.
Veterans set or any other extra heavy armour with bullgoat talisman gets the same results with less weight.

I don't get it, if you use a weapon 2 handed, the arms clip through the horns, and if you use 2 weapons... the arms clip through the horns. Did they even test it?

need a tiny buff by adding 2 poise, otherwise you need an extra tallisman slot to pass 101check

How much stamina+great jar talisman do you need to wear this with the Giant Crusher weapon?
- Anonymous
Hey look, it's everyone out in front of the Main Academy Gate right now, just slap on RoB, the Fingerprint Shield, and occasionally swap out the helm with the White Mask.
128 armor sets with over ten million possible configurations, not even counting altered sets, and 90% of pvpers look almost identical. Smh
