Yeah it looks like Vyke's armor is a burnt up, scorched version of the Knight Set. Would make a lot of sense why it's sold in the roundtable, really fits in the lore well.

I believe Vyke's armor is just the Knight Set that has been melted by the three fingers. To me it seems as though the Knight Set is what Vyke learned about before he went down the path of madness.

Idk why people keep saying Vyke couldn't inherit the flame properly because he didn't take his armor off. I think it's much more likely there are fingerprints on his armor so the developers could visually communicate his fate, whereas you have to take yours off because they can't retexture every model to have fingerprints on it. Just seems pretty ignorant of the technical limitations of a video game to say there's concrete lore reasons for it.

I'm thinking about doing a new game plus, but I feel like after you get embraced by the 3 fingers the scars and eyes would be just too cool to get rid of, especially because it changes the fingerprint vyke armor so maybe I won't. so new game plus removing the 3 finger cosmetics is kind of sad so I think they should make it so you keep the three finger cosmetics. too sick

This set makes you look extremely skinny, I recommend bumping up those body sliders if you plan to wear it

Others have pointed out that the refusal to remove his armor might be why Vyke failed to control the Frenzyflame when he contacted it.

The way this Roundtable relies more heavily on his Dragon cult spells almost like there is a schism between his old self and the one that carried the Frenzyflame.

Outside of the armor, this jailed Vyke does not show any sign of frenzy.

He is also immune to all status effects. Madness is one of them.

Vyke’s Dragonbolt blessing reduces equipload. Dragonbolt Blessing reduces status effects. My guess was that he thought he could use he dragon cult incantations to try resisting the flame, but instead he split apart.

Akin to how Placidusax’s Ruin does lightning and fire damage. It’s yellow looking fire is not unlike the Frenzyflame.

There really isn’t another character in gaol that has a second version quite like Vyke.

Placidusax’s arena isn’t even unlike a gaol.

It could have had a similar encounter with the three fingers itself. It is the only place in the game the player can shake off their influence. No frenzied dragon is ever seen. Like they are somehow immune.

An interesting theory I've seen on Reddit: Notice how the fingerprints suggest that he was grabbed from behind? It is likely that once he found out the three fingers wasn't anything like he had imagined, he turned around to leave, but the three fingers had other plans.

This armor, confessor's gloves, and the white variant of the land of reeds pants has been a top 3 look in any Fromsoft game. Matches each of my weapon choices perfectly

This really has that classic From Software knight look. Extremely worn down and weathered with an almost somber look to it. It reminds me of a mix of the Fluted and Fallen Knight sets.

You are on the cover of the Elden Ring, like Artorias was and again a warrior closer to his goal than ever but nearly at the end getting corrupted. I like how Vyke on the cover art appears defeated, and dejected. Since he wore the armor while meeting the three fingers, unable to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame. Ending up as a mad killer

I saw a previous comment about this armor being similar to the undead legion (abyss watcher) set from dark souls 3 and firelink shrine set. However, I will say not the firelink more so the undead legion set. This comes down to both having that scarf like cape, and with one arm having more armor than the other. The fingerprint is in my opinion the armored variation of the undead legion. Here's a photo comparison of the two. Let me know what you all think

The only thing about this armor that is missing, in my opinion, is the fact that, for an armor used by someone who uses so much deadly lightning, it has some really poor lightning resistance. It could have been a legit medium armor if its focus would have been on lightning resistance.

The Knight Set seems to be this armor set, but not crushed up. Really cool. Same weight and poise, similar stats across the board.

The helmet is quite unique (along with bloodsoaked mask afaik) in that you can wear the Astrologer Robe and the hood will be up! Yes that’s right, the hood will be over the metal helmet with no clipping and it looks really badass, especially after setting your head to be as small as possible.

Does anyone know if killing the guy that drops this also drops his spear? The first invasion where it's meant to drop is bugged for me and many others and we cant get it.
