Malformed Dragon Set is an Armor Set in Elden Ring.
A Malformed golden armor set. Adorned with various dragon imagery and worn by the misshapen Tree Sentinels. After the great ancient dragon Gransax attacked, the sentinels had an epiphany. The only way to truly protect the Erdtree was to become dragons themselves.
Sets of Armor in Elden Ring are composed of four armor pieces which are Helms, Chest Armor, Gauntlets, and Leg Armor.

Something I saw someone mention that might be true is that this set and the Draconic's weapon are a strange reference to Havel. A greathammer made from a dragon's claw, and a shield. And while the armor lacks that stats of Havel's, if you imagine it as gray instead of gold it has a somewhat similar shape.

Idk why people dislike this set so much, I think it looks cool

kind of looks like dragonslayer ornstein boss armor from ds3 if you ask me

Gauntlets are basically Havel’s. That’s the only good thing I can say about this set

Banished knight helmet goes great with this set and the hair coming out the back kinda looks like a cape 10/10 souls drip with that helmet on

It actually looks really good on a paladin or lightning build when used with intimidating or black colored weapons. Like morning star, executioner axe, sun realm shield etc. I personally like noble slender sword with offhand night rider flail for pvp.
Exchange the chest piece with the one from the Leyndell Knight set. You are welcome.

Am I the only one who likes this set (without the helmet)? I think it goes well with my Dragon King's Cragblade + Bolt Of Gransax build.

Usually in FromSoft games ugly armor is the efficient one. In Elden Ring Veteran's Set is great poise/weight ratio, but it looks meh. Crucible Set is great optimal set that gives exactly 71 poise, looks good and weighs 37 units, which is pretty low for how much poise it gives you. Why 71 poise is important? I think it's exact value needed to tank lots of 2h light weapon hits.
Now this thing...
Weighs 38 units, gives just a tad bit less poise than the threshold, and looks AWFUL. I mean, it looks like it was something decent, but it got melted down, it's cape burned to ashes and all that remains is this ugly thing. What even is the point in wearing this?...

So many sets are bollocksed up by their helm, the Radahn set with the "red mane" get it? is pretty bad, as soon as I put it on I looked like one of those Troll dolls from the kids toy craze in the 80s similar stupid expression with the same multicoloured hair standing on end, I wear the land of reeds helm with that set but the salad bowl on top of the fire prelate helm makes me think it was deliberately designed to look as stupid as possible. The big boy armour set works well with the black flame monk hood instead.
The veteran's, scaled, royal knight, finger print helms are all bad but at least the last one is explained in the lore. Both Diallo's mask and Hoslow's helm are dog s*it the raging wolf, nox monk and perfumer hoods all look weird and whomever passed the designs for the envoy crown, octopus head and ablinauric masks into the final game must have been smashed out of their tiny little minds on Xanax but at least those last three are not part of any set.

The helmet is a bit silly but the rest of the set makes you look like a vampire lord

Ugh, I put these gloves on for the stats near the end of the game. Every other part of me was dripped to the nines but they had to have the shot of me taking Ranni's hand with my ugly ass hands

Marionette set is you and the malformed dragon set is the guy she tells you not to worry about

Lots of people call the drake knight armor a monster hunter set, but THIS is a true monster hunter set!

The pants are a different shade of gold from the torso and helmet

90 % of this games armor looks malformed and weird. Just why from? Why do we have to look like an abomination? Just look at some mmos if you need a A good looking armor references ffs

I love how the gauntlets look more damaged and darkened since they had more contact with lightning, nice detail

Typically the kind of armor that doesn't work just by itself. Looks cool as **** on the Draconic horse but it would need a cloak on foot.

Personally think it could use a shredded cape of some sort, and also have the gauntlets not completely miss-match with the gold motif that the rest of the set is going for.

This armor set allows you to run and walk normal in Haligteee rot waters before the Drainage grace.

Helmet looks kinda stupid. Not the biggest fan of the organic look, but the armor looks great either way. Gauntlets are amazing though, might use them.

Got this set after killing the Tree sentinel before Maliketh's boss fight

This is a boss set so I believe you get it from the vendor that sells the boss armor after you defeat them.

FromSoft tends to make the ugliest armor the best for poise and defense so that you have to choose between looking awful and having an advantage in battle and looking the way you want while having poor defense. Based on that logic I’m surprised this armor doesn’t just make you immune to damage.
