Farming was not even nearly as bad as I expected it to be. Took half a hour at most, probably a bit less, probably would've been even faster if I farmed efficiently instead of riding around Aeonia shittalking cleanrots and seeking them in the forbidden sauce. Got the helmet, gauntlets, greaves, 3 armors, 2 spears and 2 swords.

Relating to the cleanrot knights' also being called noble rot knights, their decorative furs look like elongated grape leaves

Good set for a Bleed Double Large Thrusting Weapon bloody Helice Build. Pair Bloody Helice with a Blood affinity Godskin Peeler, and not only does it look great with the cleanrot Armor, but the armor grants you just enough poise and durability while remaining a respectable weight class to outlast your opponent while spamming long range bleed that's even more powerful than the current Corpse Piler spam. To top it off, Bloody Helice's WA allows you to even dodge and counter a moonveil R2 WA straight to the face (the immunity frames are that crazy). Just one of those PVP sets that gets away with being OP and good looking unlike those weirdos wearing dumb looking mismatched Lionel-Fat Fire Monk sets simply so they can jump spam without even bothering to have any fun with the game outside of simply winning fights. (no disrespect if you are one of those.. but you gotta get tired of looking dumb in game at some point.. just another reason for Layered Armor skins to be a thing I guess).

If you want this late game either as a completionist (it's not required for any achievement) or for looks, just farm that poor knight outside the prayer room. I was farming him every ten seconds, probably earned 2 or 3 levels getting the last 2 pieces I needed.

80k runes, give or take a few thousands

And had used around 20 silver pickled feet. Not sure if that was worth it.

Using good farming methods can net you a hefty amount of Silver Pickled Fowl Feet to help with getting this, used them to get the full set in something like an hour at only around 11 ARC. Just circle them on horseback, most of their attacks are avoidable like this.

Looks like this game's silver knight set: better for slash and pierce than for "standard" damage, gorgeous as it gets, but painfully suboptimal weight:defense and weight:poise ratios. Tree Sentinel set with no helmet is better defense and poise for practically the same weight.

This set but replace the helmet with the one you can get after beating Malenia is pretty good looking honestly. As the only thing I didn't really like on this set is the helmet, just looks real nice with the replacement.

I just farmed the one guy SSW of Inner Aeonia SoG. Took about 45 mins to get everything except the gauntlets - 191 discovery.

Just farmed this at RL34 with 22 strength and a +6 Broadsword. I ended up at 24,596 runes and I think I started around maybe 2000-4000, not sure. 618 runes per kill, and I killed one glowy-eyed one that was worth 3090, so I'd say I killed about 30 of them. I found 5 swords, 1 Trina's Lily, 2 helmets, 2 chest pieces, 1 gauntlets, and then finally 1 greaves much later. I actually found a helmet, chest armor, and sword all together on like my second or third kill and the gloves shortly after, but then it took a while to find the pants. I didn't use any Drop Rate buffs at all (and didn't level Arcane). My routine was to start at the Inner Aeonia grace, ride my horse around to behind the nearby Cleanrot Knight, get a backstab, do a 2H charged R2 followed by an uncharged R2 followup, and then a jump R2 for the stagger, and then a frontstab, very safe/clean/quick kill if I didn't **** up, except that I may or may not get Rot (often I did it quick enough that I didn't get rot though). Now I'm going to farm a second pair of gloves and pants so I can give a full set to a friend lol. I wonder if it'll take another 30 kills or worse.

Rot paladins incoming: quality with a bit of faith. Lucerne with sacred rings L2 and poison armament incantation with offhand poison antspur is amazing. 0 arcane investment required to easily poison people. When people bolus it’s a free sacred rings L2. Rotten avatar staff is also a fun one with offhand antspur. Quality builds are never optimal but always fun. Quality/fth is even more fun. My build holds its own in duels, but shines in invasions where status cripples ganks and increases my damage through rot exultation... scarlet aeonia nukes bonfire campers.

That one set you see and you say: Yeah, that's it right there. This was that one for me. Swapped the helm as the Cleanrot chest piece is one of very limited pieces that does not put the Banished Knight Helm in one of its reduced states and just compliments the armor so well.

just got lucky and got the full set of a spear weilding one by the prayer room grace at the haligtree, maybe an hour or less of farming , got like 4 swords, 2 spears , 1 helmet, 2 chest pieces, 1 gauntlet, and 4 greaves. only 10 arcane with the oocasional item discovery foot.

You can use Mohgwyn's spear inside the prayer room in the Haligtree for a quick farm. Just make sure Millicent isn't there.

Farmed for about 30 minutes got multiple sets of the armor 7 swords 1 halo scythe and 1 spear, running a dex faith build and power stancing with bolt of gransax and cleanrot spear shreds

A good place to farm is Aeonia swamp in Caelid - around the O'Neal grace, there are 4-5 knights you can 2/3 hit if you're high level, a lot easier (and less boring) than the Prayer room knight in Elphael

Really easy to farm. The best method is to start in the "Inner Aeonia" site of grace. Eat a silver-pickled fowl foot, then head South-West and find all of the knight buried under the ground. They are normally around the edges of the island/roots. You can mark them on the map if you want, or just try to remember where they are. You should also find a few knights walking around, be careful not to get crowded. Make your way around the boss room, heading South / South-east and searching for the buried knights. When you get to a sheltered area south of the boss fight (you are under a big branch), one guy should come out of the ground in front of you. Kill him, then look around carefully because there are like 5 of them in the ground who will not activate unless you attack them. Be careful though, as they will all come out at once if you do not kill each one fast enough. Once you've killed them all, head back around the boss arena back to the sight of grace. Whilst you go back check around to see if you've missed any knights. Rest at the grace and repeat until you get the full set. Remember to eat silver fowl foot to boost discovery. Be careful to avoid the boss. To kill the knights, i recommend staying on your horse and hitting them whilst they come out of the ground or spam spells. If they are awake, stay at a distance and spam spells or do hit-and-run tactics. Be careful of their annoying magic, as the knights attack fast and can easily knock you off your horse into the swamp. You should get the set pretty quickly if you use silver-pickled fowl foot.

I think I blew all of my luck of farming this. My item discovery is 109.32 and I got all of the weapons and armor in about an hour. Of course I ended up with like 5 of the sword.

A good place to farm is the prayer room site of grace in haligtree. There's a knight right outside the way you came in and you can sneak up and do your thing. I use the ruins greatsword weapon skill, then a fully charged heavy attack which posture breaks and critical hit. Had the whole set farmed in 20 minutes.

I love getting this armor ASAP, for the looks alone. I love the red/white fabric on the sides (can be removed by alteration) because it goes so well with the Partisan and Brass Shield I'm using.

in Wardead catacombs, the knights are fighting each other and I managed to pick up the spear and greaves, might be good place to farm with silver chicken leg boost on and just stay afk while doing smth

Fastest place I've found to farm it is from the four Cleanrot Knights just south-east of the Heart of Aeonia site of Grace in Caelid.
They're very near the site and grouped relatively close together. Some are laying down though, so you'll need to ride by them to wake them up.
Wish I'd realized this farming location sooner. I'd farmed it via the Shaded Castle route and it took much longer to complete.
Don't forget to equip the Silver Scarab to boost your Discovery first, too!

Absolutely gorgeous set but has questionably bad stats for the weight. Weighs a mere 1.2 units less than crucible axe set, loses or ties in every negation type except thrust (more than 7% difference on standard), and has 10 less poise. Also has worse resistances across the board except for immunity, if you care about those stats.

That 7% standard difference really sucks too. The effective HP increase with the Crucible set's 38.3% negation is +62% (1/[1-.383]). With Cleanrot's 31.8%, the effective HP increase is 46.6% (1/[1-.318]). That's more than a 10% effective HP advantage in favor of the Crucible Axe set (1.62/1.466)

The altered version is simply incredible looking and stat wise for a faith build. Matches with the navy hood for an extra mind point and less weight if you don't run that much endurance or want to carry multiple weapons

You can easily farm the entire set and all weapons off of two of them that spawn just east of the Shaded Castle Inner Gate grace point. From the grace head east down the ladder, then up the (shortcut/unlocked) ladder on the other side. Snipe the two dogs, beat down the one with sword/spear, then go through the far door and down the stairs past a page and skeleton, to the second one with the scythe. A run yields 5k+ runes and only takes a couple min. Then just tele back to the grace and repeat. Safest way to do it I've found.

I haven't killed O'Neil yet. I literally farmed the whole set in front of his arena, at the site of grace that is 3 meters after the arena. Arena is on the left, avoid it and go to the right path, there's a knight that is already wandering, kill and repeat. Simple as that

If you defeated Commander O'Neil and unlocked his site of grace, after resting at it there's one Cleanrot Knight immediately west of you. Easiest way to farm this set I find is to farm that single guy, go back to the grace and rest. Also good if you want a Halo Scythe, and you'll get better use out of your silver-peckled fowl feet that way too than if you were to run around the entire swamp.

Less hp and deal less damage than the ones by the haligtree and theres like 8 of them one after another in the swamp, if you ride on torrent then you dont take any scarlet rot build up and can just gallop along farming easily
