Why tf can you get Mohg's set before this one why can't it drop from Sanguine Nobles

this hood and chest piece with the drake knight leggings and gloves is some fancy drip
No Arm piece and then the leg piece doesnt even cover the feet? This has to be a joke. Oh and its located in the mountaintops of the Giants, meaning i cant get it before the game is essentially over (the fun part of it, atleast).
Bah, and i wanted to make a sanguine noble Cosplay build. Nevermind, then. We cant have cool things.

All three pieces of this set can go very well with many outfits. Makes me wish it had gloves for even more potential.

The location isn't accurate, the spawnpoint is closer to the portal loading to Mogwhyn.

It figures the set I want the most is the furthest place on the map

i haven't done varre's quest or killed mohg, but have killed the nights calvary and wyrm in the area. the noble wasn't spawning in for me so i checked the time which was day and thought "i wonder if he spawns at night". i came back later and he spawned, so maybe he's a night event?

Obtainable as per patch 1.08, even if you've defeated the Erdtree Avatar nearby.

I like this armour set a lot. I'd prefer it wasn't a barefoot set, but it's still nice. I've been wondering what the enemy inside the rose church in Liurnia is for a while, it rises out of the rot every time I go there for the blood-roses growing in and around the church. There is a boss variant in Writheblood ruins in Altus Plateau as well. I had been fancying the bloody helice it drops, but not enough to want to fight this thing in an enclosed boss room.

lord of blood's robe can be considered an alternative chestpiece like how diallos helm is considered an alternative headpiece
So... I killed every boss up until the last 2 on 2 characters and got invaded, neither of them completed Varre's questline. Progressed on 3rd character to Fire Giant without killing him yet, finished Varre's quest, no ivasion in sight. I would guess that the cuplrit is Varre's questline, which might be both a bug and a feature. Since, y'know, you become one of the chosen and stuff. Kinda lame anyway, hope Fromsoft fixes it.

The whole no shoes thing is a dealbreaker for me for the waistcloth. Top and hood is dope to mix and match with other stuff.

I'm on ps4, defeated every major boss except milenia (even the final boss) and i became elden lord, but didn't start game 2, read a comment about being south of a tree, practically hugged the big tree north of the ruins and got invaded.

Another Armor set that looks really really cool… But is incomplete because It has No Gloves/Gauntlets! Why do these awesome sets keep coming out Incomplete!

I wish there was a white/blue/gold reskin for those of us that want awesome robes without looking super edgy!

He invaded me near the portal which sends you to moghwyn palace

I think FromSoft has screwed with this Invader. On my "main" and first character he invaded me like he is supposed to.
But on my second character he did not, therefore making his DRIP unobtainable. For Fia's sake!
Now I have to plow her to cease my frustration!

another set ill never get because devs don't test their game. nice

Its not a bug, its a feature.
The game will only allow you to summon cooperators when there is a "boss" to kill. Each overworld "boss" has a section of the map tied to it. Whenever you want to summon, it will only allow you to, if you are within an area with an alive boss, as the game expects you use this cooperator to kill this "boss". Some areas in the game allow summoning no matter what such as in the first step but most areas, after you kill that specific roaming overworld boss, you cant use summon in that area.
This also applies to dungeons, this is why when you kill the dungeon boss, it kicks the cooperator out of the game.
This also applies the multiplayer invaders, after you kill the "boss" of an area, all multiplayer features are disabled for that are, besides messages.
The best part, my favorite part, is that this also disables npc invaders.
Of the 3 overworld bosses in the consecrated snowfields, I don't know what "boss" is linked the the area that the sanguine noble spawns in. I didn't encounter either of the 2 invaders in the consecrated snowfields, I killed the nights cavalry and the great wyrm before stumbling upon where they should have spawned, so my guess would be between those 2.
I love this video game.
I'm not getting the invasion. Didn't killed fire giant or mohg yet, no varre's quest either because i'm playing offline. I think it might be because i killed great wyrm theodorix? Since its the only boss from that area that i killed and is not from a dungeon.

Still got invaded even though I already defeated Mohg. Not sure what's causing the invasions to get bugged.

This set looks really cool though all things considered. I might have to do a Sanguine Noble cosplay invasion build with Bloody Helice and Reduvia. May not be the best armor but the Lord of Blood sure knows how to kit his servants with drip.

It's not West Mountaintop of the Giants, it's located in the Southwest part of the Consecrated Snowfield, just north of Yelough Anix Ruins. Kill the invader and he drops the gear.

I saw some people talking about how the sending gate in the snowfield is locked until you defeat the invader, but the gate was already active when I got there so I'm now wondering if that ties to him not invading and thusly how do you unlock the gate without killing him?
I came, I saw, and I bathed in the power of the moonlight. I killed Mogh outright and got locked out of Varre's quest before I knew I shouldn't. I reduced that annoying fire giant chimera god to a withering corpse. I ascended to Crumbling Farum Azula and saw that Beast Clergymen in disguise the way out the back door and ushered Lyndell to an age of ashes. Slew a dragon godking, and proceeded to slaughter my way up the tree and sit my moon queen on the mantle of the Elden Ring. After all that, this Sanguine simpleton still dared cross me, and the price they paid was blood!
TL/DR: I can confirm it spawns regardless. Killed Mogh effectively locking me out of Varre's questline and "finished" the game with cutscene and everything. Still came for me in a beautiful outfit that was to 'die' for heheheh.

I got the invasion after killing all the bosses of the game (I was literally a step away from the ending) and after killing varre as invader. The thing is, you have to be exactly south of the tree to be invaded (or you can circumnavigate it), it worked for me, hope it helps

This npc does not invade at mountian top of the giants. He infact invades right next to the portal to mogh in the ice area before the hagalia tree
- Anonymous
There has to be some kind of trigger that disables or enables this invasion. Spent an hour trying to get him to invade...
Doesn't invade if you've killed arbitrary bosses in the area as usual
Genius game design

What are the conditions for this NPC invading? I haven't killed Mohg nor the Fire Giant. Is it Varre's questline?

I killed mohg early for fashions sake and was all up in that zone for swarm of flies. Still got invaded. The only thing I didn't do was invade Varre at that point.

I killed both instances of Mohg, finished Varre's questline, and was still invaded and able to get the set to drop.

I can confirm that doing Varre's quests up to the point that you receive the Pureblood Knight's medal DOES NOT lock out the Sanguine Noble from invading.
I have done Varre's quests but have not been to Mogh's zone, however I WAS still invaded and received the armor set.
I can't say for sure what will lock you out from being invaded, but I recommend the following until you have killed the phantom:
DO NOT go to Mogh's zone
DO NOT activate any Graces in Haligtree after the Consecrated Snowfield Grace
DO NOT kill any bosses in Haligtree

right so from what ive gleamed the invader that spawns in the snowfield wont spawn if you have
A:Completed White mask Varre's questline up to "Joining" the blood knights
B:Killed Mogh and perhaps fire giant since its his area
I can now confirm that they only invade if you haven't gotten the Pureblood Knight's Medal from Varre's set yet.
In NG they did not invade me and in NG+ they did and the only thing I did differently at that point was I had not done Varre's quest past the Rose Church.

Can anyone confirm whether or not doing Varre’s quest line prevents the noble from invading? I’ve already seen ppl saying killing the lord of blood doesn’t affect this so wondering if it’s something else.
I was never invaded by them even before beating The Lord of Blood. I believe you may need to battle them before obtaining the Pureblood Knight's Medal, either that or there's a glitch, I'll update in NG+ if that fixes the problem.

I'm usually more of an armor guy, but the chest is just beautiful. It's such a shame that so many awesome-looking armors are backended as much. You can easily spend 20 hours with your shitty starter armor but Mountaintops alone has four extremely good-looking sets that you'll gather in less than 2 hours.

NPC invader won’t spawn. Be warned: it is subject to some bug affecting npc invader spawns. Possibly due to progressing through the area in a way the game doesn’t account for.
- Anonymous
I somehow didn't get invaded in the snowfield before the gate. Killed the Lord of Blood and looked up how to find the Sanguine set. He won't invade anywhere, apparently killing the lord voids the invasion or my game is bugged.

game crashes when i equip this hood with the scaled armor chest piece
just...dont do that i guess

Invader in Consecrated Snowfield drop full complect of armor.

You get it from killing the Sanguine Noble NPC that invades you near the base of the petrified tree SW of the Ordina, Liturgical Town grace in the Consecrated Snowfield.

Hate how the feet show, damn Miyazaki's foot fetish
It's dropped by the Sanguine Noble invader that's before the warp gate to Mohgwyn's Palace

I got it from being invaded in the snowy zone that malenia is in. ****ing hell it is so late game which is annoying for fashionistas.

Not sure if you can farm this from the Rose Church Boss, I've farmed him for about 30 minutes so far with no luck. Will keep trying and do my best to update this if I every get anything

I swear the looks of these armors are 100x better than any other sorcerer robe you can Find in ds1-3
Kinda wish the chest and waistcloth were one piece cause I find the chest on its own a bit bulky and the lack of shoes annoying
