Azula Beastman is a Humanoid Enemy in Elden Ring. Azula Beastmen are feral biped creatures with a hyena-like aspect, featuring a prominent hump and a seemingly skinned animal face. These creatures are often found eating from dead bodies, which makes them vulnerable to surprise or stealth attacks, but they are quick and skilled in wielding a wide array of melee weapons.
Beastman of Farum Azula are the Boss variants of these creatures.
Two (2) Azula Beastman can be summoned for aid as spirits by using the Azula Beastman Ashes.
Beastmen from doomed Farum Azula, the slowly crumbling ruins in the skies. These ruins are said to be the remains of a giant mausoleum enshrining an ancient dragon, guarded by chosen beastmen who wield weapons clad in lightning.

Azula Beastman Notes & Tips
- Deals Standard Damage (ranged), Slash Damage (melee), Pierce Damage (undead, variation with spear), Magic Damage (undead ranged) and Ligthning Damage (excluding undead variation).
- Attacking one of these creatures from a distance won't trigger all the surrounding horde, use this an advantage to attack them one by one. However, once triggered, they are very good at dodging ranged attacks, so use your ammo wisely.
- Non skeleton Beastmen are weak to Slash Damage and Fire Damage
- Skeleton Beastmen are weak to Strike Damage and Holy Damage
- Beastman are resistant to Ligthning Damage, skeleton variation is also resistant to Slash Damage.
- Can be poise broken and riposted afterwards
- Parryable: Yes (melee), can be riposted afterwards
- They do not have large amounts of health, but they are quite aggressive to make up for it.
- Later on, some Beastmen utilize Lightning spells, and have coated their weapons with red Lightning.
- Beastmen Skeletons use the same weapons as Human-bone Skeletons.
- Beastmages wield a Clawmark Seal, but do not drop them.

Read under DS2's Lion clan warriors information's 7th word from its fextralife wiki.

Hope we get the set of the heavy weapon using one in the dlc.

I got Beastman's Jar-Shield on the first try and from the first encounter with the opponent wearing it. And this is without improving the chance of drop things.

weak to guardcounter. It makes them much more easy to deal with

The fact that the caster variety can cast thru walls without LOS is absolute bull****.

These are god awful enemies. Spammy fast attacks like dogs with the high damage weaponry of a bipedal foe. Who thought these were good enemy designs?

I find these guys are really weak to holy damage. My +25 lordsworn SS deals 1.1k dmg per hit... im on 80 faith and it has the sacred blade AOW on it.

So many armor that would be great to have but FS decides to make a billion stupid looking statue heads and other dumb armors

It's really disappointing that these guys don't even drop a single bit of armor for proper Beast build fashion...

Wiki is missing info on Skeletal Beastman (undead) found in Farum Azula.

They are really tanky, not even Haligtree knights take so many hits (apart from the valkyrie knights)

Outside Dragon Temple Lift, there are 2 Beastman holding spear with kitchen knife at the tip of it, but there's no info if players can have the weapon. I'm currently farming one or two but still no drop.

I’m about to farm the beastmen who have the curved sickles and see whether or not they will actually drop it, I’ll update later if I get it.

Holy works on skelly versions. Big guys still take a few hits with the buff.

It seems like the part about being able to hit one with a ranged attack without aggro-ing the others does not carry over to all of the skeletal/undead versions. Just be forewarned. When you encounter the group of four patrolling a stretch of land, if you hit one with an arrow it will alert all four, or at least it did when I tried it on them. On the other hand, the "trap" skeleton beastmen hanging from the trees CAN be fought individually using arrows to pull each off separately from a distance.

These guys burn really, really well. Walking through Farum Azula with two maxed out fire whips is a lot of fun, the AoE/range of the whips also makes their quick side steps futile. The larger variant of the Beastmen that never stagger are the ones to be cautious with.

Maybe I'm crazy, but these guys look rather similar to the trolls from Berserk--another nod to the series maybe? Their bodies are hunched and mostly furred, but their faces are bare and pale in stark contrast. Both trolls and beastmen use various crude weaponry as well.

Anyone had the ring blade weapon that they throw drop? Or is that a usable item?
- Anonymous
Why is there no info on their skeletal counterparts. I came here to find info on them because holy doesn't work apparently.
- Anonymous
Drops: I am certain I had at least one of them drop Gravel Stone.

Does anyone know if you can get the throwing sickle weapon?

Looking at these guys and then at the Beastman of Farum Azula boss you find, they look like they're extremely similar, maybe similar thing with Demi-Humans and Demi-Human chiefs. in any case, making me question WHY the beastmen are all the way out in Limgrave and stuff.

Their fashion kind of reminds me of those Lion Clan Warriors from Dark Souls 2.
