Highwayman is a Humanoid Enemy in Elden Ring. Highwaymen are hostile thug enemies that used to be Foot Soldiers and are now withdrawn from society. They are found in Murkwater Cave. Apparently they are initially led by Patches, often serving as partners.
Former foot soldiers who have since turned to banditry. They ambush any who approach, wishing to take their valuables for themselves.

- Their Leg Armor, Foot Soldier Greaves, are only dropped by Godrick Foot Soldiers.
- Will sometimes throw Poison Pots that can apply poison is a single hit.

They don't appear anywhere else is bc they are patches personal army.

No, the poison they inflict runs out faster and does more damage than regular poison. This leads me to think they're inflicting deadly poison, which can only be done with Fetid Pots. The highwaymen are, in fact, throwing poop at you. Given the way they look, I'm inclined to believe it's their own.

Fromsoft when designing their world: Those Fingercreepers gotta be in the snowy mountains as well and the Highwaymen go uh in that one cave I guess

These look almost the same as rogues from Huntman's Copse, DS2.

It is certainly very strange these guys only appear in one place. Also, the sound traps from Murkwater Cave don't appear in many other places either. Of all the enemies in the game, From chose *this* one to be temperate with?

Kinda bummed that these guys don't make an appearance anywhere else. Would've been cool seeing them scattered across the lands in bandit camps.

They can also drop mushrooms. id add it myself but i have no ****ing clue how to format wiki and after ****ing with it for about 5 minutes i just gave up
