Justtl throwing this out there because I've never actually aggrod both the golem and this NPC at the same time. It's never been intentional, but I realized what I'm doing is pretty much walking along side the cliff face while mounted and basically going straight for the golem when I see it start to move. Then just target lock on you way back and you'll spot this dude, crouch when you get close and backstab him, swing a couple of times as he's getting up and he'll never even get an attack off.

Make sure to just pull the Golem solo by inching forward as your near their Spawn. Easy range the Golem foot or Melee between legs. Then you can solo Maleigh

I was busy fighting her when out of nowhere this golem's warhammer comes crashing down, thus ending the fight.

I tried using crystal darts to get his golem to attack him, but it turns out the AI is pretty good at fighting golems. It didn't get a single hit in before the effect wore off.

if you run around the north side of the field hugging the cliff you can fight the golem without aggroing maleigh. alternatively, you can lure maleigh out of the golem's wake-up range toward the swamp area by hitting him with an arrow from far away

There is a minor bug with Maleigh. If you die to the golem (or the Scarlet Rot) PRIOR to him completely fading into dust, you won't be given any of his drops/they won't appear where he died when you respawn. And, like any other NPC Invader, he doesn't respawn either. So there's about a 3-5 second window in which you can accidently screw up, and then have to wait until NG+ to try again. I learned this the hard way on my second character's first run through. Highly annoying as having two of these by the time you start NG+2 makes many bosses just flat evaporate from the triple-stacked debuffs. And yes, they really are nasty when used by PVP gank squads.

I kinda like his lore, he and/or his family is cursed they are infested with a poison like malenia with rot.
Thats why he came to like and support her, making the prostethics for her and her knights. But then he lost it all and kinda went mad

Inside the poison castle (we know that's his castle) we can find a lot of statues. Perhaps the "famed sculptor of the Erdtree Capital" that created marika/radagon stature could be him or maybe someone of his family. I mean someone there was clearly good at making statures for sure, i don't think anywhere else we can see that many in one place and we know that his family serve the golden order, makes sense to me.

Shoot him with an arrow so you don't aggro the Golem.
When outside of melee range, he slowly circles you. Throw volcano pots, and he'll stand in them taking damage.

Crystal darts have a special property that they can enrage constructs after a few hits. This includes golems. Hit him with about 5 darts (cheap to craft) and he'll start attacking Maleigh instead of you.

Lure him out of the arena and throw charged fireballs from horseback. Done right, he dies pretty damn quick. Also, his rapier deals Scarlet Rot so try not to get hit.

I believe this is the gal that spawns as you are fighting the giant enemy west of Shaded Castle. I thought she spawned because I was hitting the giant enemy, but maybe its just two seperate encounters.

I checked for this NPC before and after clearing the Shaded Castle. Maleigh Marais wasn't there before, but after I cleared the castle. Perhaps either entering or clearing the castle is the trigger for spawning them.
