Run past Vyke as he is spawning in to the site of grace, make a left and go to the cliff. There will be a small rock sticking out, you will know it when you see it. Stand there he may hit you once but he will 100% fall off.

On my first play thru I killed this dude first try. I'm on a different account now and absolutely was getting frustrated with this guy. This seemed to work with me

Weird detail I noticed, the Church of Inhibition is positioned in a direct line between Bellum Church, where Hyetta requests you locate the Fingerprint Grape, and the Forge of the Giants itself (tested by placing beacons at each of these points, then aligning myself so the beacon icons on the compass all converged into one).

This may be a crackpot theory, but I've also noticed that the lone grave at the foot of the capital's wall just east of the Minor Erdtree Church falls within this same path. The grave has a smoldering butterfly set at its base, so maybe it was erected in honor of Vyke...?

Someone suggested a heavy thrusting sword so I tried Great Epee since its an early pick-up and that with the default ash Impaling Thrust spanked this man's ass. Was able to get close enough so the ash would hit, L2, and then retreat and he didn't seem to be able to do anything about it.

Guys !! I was just curious to see what he would do (me being unable to kill him at early game ofc ) and tried to go to FRENZIED VILLAGE. I landed on the little wall from above, took the Stonesword K. from the hollow-corpse and when I turned back, I heard his spear hitting the ground ! Oh boi here he comes I thought ! I like how his bullshit spear has a hitbox that somehow extends five feet on either side of the shaft. This guy is a flagrant cheater. At least he got the fate he deserved.

I managed to beat him using Aspects of the Crucible: Tail, just get some distance and start charging it when he runs toward you, if the 2nd tail whip hits it will knock him down and you get a few easy hits then.

My build is heavily centered around bleed, so I had a rough time. My recommendation: wear armor with a lot of focus and parry him. Be careful for when he goes on a casting rampage though, and try to hit him when he is starting the casts.

Another way to beat him if you're a caster: If you run towards the village, there's a jump to a wall you can make that you also do to get a Stonesword Key. You can cheese him from up there, since he won't be able to follow you and will just spam attacks from the bottom of the wall.

Okay so he's immune to every status effect, rolls with infinite stamina, casts with infinite fp, has more poise/hyper armor with a 1h spear than 2handing a weapon, has faster recovery from animations apparently, and inflicts a status that almost exclusively works on the player in any functional measure.

This is fair and balanced.

If you're having trouble taking him out near the church, just draw him over the cliff near the west side. His poise is fairly low so just hit him enough times till he falls.

I think Vyke was manipulated by Shabriri to find the three fingers. Shabriri tells us we can spare the girl, and I think that’s what he told Vyke. He left without announcement to find the three fingers where he doesn’t have Hyetta to tell him to git naked. Vyke obviously refused/didn’t know and had his armour and weapon melted by the three fingers. The three fingers are still there when the tarnished finds it, so it obviously didn’t manage to fuse with Vyke because of the armour. Vyke returns to his maiden and either she’s already dead or he kills her. Awesome lore imo

So we all know Vyke was known as a Roundtable Knight, meaning he belongs to the Roundtable, just like us. This leads to say that he also was a Tarnished, just like us, with his Maiden and all.

We also know he went crazy at some point, and was even believed to be able to become the Lord of Frenzied Flame. However the most interesting détail is the body inside the Churuch where he invades us.

Clearly, they are related. Now, the real question is: did Vyke kill his own Maiden for the sake of the Three Fingers ? Or did he go crazy because of her death at unknown hands ?

It was bugged for my entire playthrough and I almost gave up. However, I just killed Elden Beast and every single other enemy in this game and I got Vyke to invade me finally even after killing him in his gaol. It’s one of two triggers: I travelled from Grand Lift of Dectus and as I was approaching through the village I popped a finger remedy and then boom there he was! I hope this helps someone out

So I've noticed something about Vyke, his movesets are very distinct. In one, he's a maddened warrior of the three fingers with
a title to go with it, with a whole moveset of madness.

In the evergoal, he's a warrior of the ancient dragon cult and prodigy of Lansseax. Now called a Roundtable Knight and using Dragon Cult invocations, Vyke seems to be in a different state than encountered last.

I wonder, why? Is there a story reason? His encounters are very distinct, with wildly different addressings of Vyke. If you have theories, I'd love to hear them.

I'm on patch 1.04 and Vyke isn't invading. I've killed Renalla and a minor Erd Tree Avatar, but other players have said that that doesn't effect his invasion with this newest patch. I've advanced Hyetta's quest to this point and have also killed Edgar at the revenger's shack. Am I missing something?

Just went into the game a little bit ago and checked to see if Vyke would spawn as the patch notes say (he had at first for me but stopped after I went away for a while to level up), and he did! So happy about this. Glad so many people reported the bug to From Soft and they were able to fix this quickly!

Pretty sure he won't invade if you clear the Frenzy-Flaming Tower. Journey 1 I was freaking out as to why I was losing health and building madness and booked it through the village to the church and got invaded by him. Journey 2 I figured I'd clear the Tower first and didn't get invaded, hadn't cleared that many bosses in the area either. Now on Journey 3 and didn't clear the tower and got invaded. Didn't clear too many bosses or touch any of the Erdtrees just in case, but just my theory that the Frenzy-Flaming Tower with Sauron's eye burning you is what triggers the invasion (and I progressed Hyetta's questline to this point).

He’s pretty easy to cheese even at level 1, just equip two sage glintstone crown with Demi human Queen staff and use night maidens mist, for some reason he’s scared of the mist and ends up rolling around in it, cast it immediately as he spawns in and just keep circling the mist and he’ll roll himself to death easily, I did it one my RL 1 run and it was easier than when I was level 100 trying to melee him haha

I'm wondering just how much "exploring too early" people have done to get locked out of this invasion, I've cleared almost every minor dungeon/catacomb in Liurnia except for Stillwater Cave, Cliffbottom Catacombs, Road's End Catacombs and the Evergoals, cleared the Academy and Caria Manor, progressed Ranni's questline all the way to the Grand Cloister, reached Altus through the Ruin Strewn Precipice, also did Varres quest all the way to Moghwyn Palace, and I just now got invaded by Vyke at the Church of Inhibition.

I still have 2 bosses in the area alive (Rennala and Carian study hall one) but i cleared entire Caria Manor with boss (Loretta) dead. Vyke is not appearing. It seems that killing Loretta blocks Hyetta quest

I'm losing faith in from**** reaaally fast with all these Bugthesda like bugs. It really makes me not want to play the game anymore, at least in Skyrim you can fix anythign through console, here you have to wait for patches meanwhile your save gets ****ed and you have to start a new game cycle or a new game to experience what you missed due bugs.

Theres a castle wall nearby that you can jump down onto and he'll fall next to it causing himself some fall damage. Then just cheese range attack at him or drop attack.

An easy fix would be to have his Evergoal fight drop the remaining items in case you missed his invasion in Liurnia, or at least make them a static drop after the Evergoal fight.

Hey guys. I submitted a support ticket to Bamco and they said they are aware of it, and that they are fixing it. I'd post the entire response here, though I feel that would be too much? I did post it on reddit though if anyone manages to find it. They are aware and are looking to fix it in an eventual patch, though we will have to be patient as there is no immediate fix and they said that if we want to fight him that for now we will just have to go into NG+ and hope that it works basically until the patch that fixes him gets released. Confirmation that this is indeed a bug. Everyone investigating this guy can finally relax.

I have a question for people who have experienced "Vyke not invading" problem: Can you still see white summon sign from the other area? If "Vyke not invading" is really related to invasion restriction due to defeating area bosses, then you should not be able to see the white summon sign.

If you can see white summon sign but suffering from "Vyke not invading", it will suggest there are other causes associated with this issue.

Is Glintstone Dragon Adula counted as an area boss for Vyke to invade?

There is something interesting if you can't make him invade you if you cleared all the main bosses of the area : despite not finishing Hyetta quest and not interacting with the 3 fingers, your character becomes the lord of the frenzy flame, for some reason. To be more precise, your character is exactly like the lord of frenzy flame after using the needle : his eyes turns yellow but are not bright.
It probably has something to do with weird event/status triggering on your character after you kill all Liurna bosses.

okay, so i did NG, he didn't spawn. i think i had beaten the boss in the academy and also the dragon. I defeated the frenzy flame tower, then vyke wouldnt spawn. NG+, I killed the dragon, but left the main academy boss alive, and the frenzy tower too. Then vyke spawned. so it seems either egg magic baby boss is the trigger, or defeating the flame mobs at the tower is

I'm on Journey 3 (ie, the third playthrough) and he finally spawned.

The following bosses/placed were killed or cleared: The Erdtree Avatar by the southwest Minor Erdtree, Edgar, the boss in the Malefactor's Evergaol, that boss in the Village of the Albinaurics, Lakeside Crystal Cave, Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, and two Night's Cavalry (one by Gate Town Bridge grace, and another by East Raya Lucaria Gate grace). I was worried the Erdtree Avatar might have wrecked my third playthrough, but it seems not.

All other bosses in this zone were still alive, including Rennala and Loretta
