Mausoleum Soldier is a Humanoid Enemy in Elden Ring. Headless soldiers that use various armor and weapons capable of vanishing in and out of existence. Sometimes found in groups alongside a Mausoleum Knight leading them. They are often found roaming around Walking Mausoleums, though a majority of them will despawn once the Mausoleum has been downed and made accessible.

The spirit of five (5) Mausoleum Soldiers can be summoned for aid in battle by using the Mausoleum Soldier Ashes.

...Soldiers who confound foes by disappearing and reappearing at will.

The mausoleum is where the bodies of soulless demigods are lain to rest, and these soldiers followed their masters into Death by severing their own heads from their bodies.

Mausoleum Soldier Notes & Tips

  • Like all other Soldiers sworn to serve their Lord, some of them wield a Lordsworn's Greatsword, but do not drop it.
  • The Mausoleum Soldiers can teleport to reposition, very often they will end up behind the player.

Only two demigods have died so why are there so many mausoleums? Only one could be lain to rest and that's Godwyn and he's special.

After doing some testing on the ones in Deeproot Depths, it seems they are weakest to Lightning damage. Holy seemed to do the next best, followed by Fire. Just Physical was decent as well, but Magic was not very effective. And it seems they are immune to all status effects.

I saw a LOT of them walking in the North-East part of Liurnia, near the Academy - looked friggin cool, just a bunch of headless ghostly guys walking their way

The Mausoleum soldiers in Deeproot Depths drop Smithing Stone 4, 5, and 6 - and it seems like they're all about as likely to drop. There's like 30 of them in the area, good place to farm

            • I get why the set doesn't have a helmet, but it would have been nice of them to toss one somewhere as a random pickup. Hell, the mushroom set has an alternate head piece half-way across the map in a corner of a massive empty optional area where you have to get the rot several times just to reach it.

I additionally dropped a warpick from the mausoleum soldiers around the mausoleum in Liurnia (Grace: East Gate Bridge Trestle)

Found 3 groups (2 packs of 3, 1 pack of 2) of these guys in Weeping Peninsula yesterday by the Walking Mausoleum. There's a site of grace nearby (Tombsward). Easy farming as they drop mountains of loot. So far I've found 3 brass shields, over 100 bolts, 7 greaves, 4 gauntlets and 2 straight swords. Not sure if I'm just lucky or if the drop rates are obscenely high for these guys.
