Lesser Black Knife Assassin is an Enemy in Elden Ring. These are non-Boss variants of Black Knife Assassins. They are relentless and agile dark figures. In some cases they're even invisible, requiring a certain item in order to be seen.
The assassins that carried out the deeds of the Night of the Black Knives were all women, and rumored to be Numen who had close ties with Marika herself.

Lesser Black Knife Assassin Notes & Tips
- Sentry's Torch makes all of the assassins visible, even if you don't meet the stat requirements. It is recommended to get this as soon as possible, as their grab attacks can be can deal massive damage and are near impossible to dodge without it.
- The Ordina assassins are immune to Frostbite, but only while they're invisible.

Last rites ash of war and the sentry torch does like 3 damage a tick in like a 30 or 20 foot radius to the assassins and archers.

I want the Superior lesser black knife armor, or their version of the concealing veil for a true lesser black knife assassin cosplay.
I can't be invisible in the regular black knife assassin armor. Unless it is alterd. And even then it's only a temporary invisible buff with unseen form and assassin's gambit. It is able to remove the lock on in pvp but true invincibility no.
While these lesser assassins over are permanently invisible, unless you use that torch that reveals them.

I love sparring with these guys. I wish they would respawn. =( Are there any other locations where these guys spawn?

What makes these assassins "lesser" exactly?
And also why do these lesser assassins have a better concealing veil then the regular black knife assassins? Is it like when a black knife assassin becomes a elite/famous in the land to someone that hired them, they need extra stealth. And use a upgraded version/or they desided to upgrade their veils them selfs, to become completely invisible in body and armor. Making them "lesser" becease they now rely on their veils effect to be effective in battle?
Can someone please explain the lore please.

Checked a bloodstain and watched this dude get vigor checked so hard by these

Got through them by putting the torch on my back and spamming takers flame with blasphemous blade, otherwise they’re so irritating to deal with

I love the misinformation where it says the ones in Ordina respawn after being killed.

Weilding 2 bleed katanas and facing those mfs is just too much

The way they shank you is oddly romantic, better than some rotten shriveled corpse eating your face off or getting violently chokeslammed into the floor by a big hulking ugly brute.
- Anonymous
After a few tries , and getting shanked by basically Alecto , I realized you only need to run and avoid only 1 assassin. The torch on the lower level. The other three where you have to climb have no assassins.

"If you equip the Sentry's Torch, the enemy becomes visible, revealing it as a Black Knife Assassin"
Lmao, I didn't need that torch to get what these ennemies were.
The stupid grab and endless knockdowns made me realise instantly

For the one just past the grace at least, you can somewhat safespot it from the platform you light the flame on

These are just invisible Black Knife Assassins, which I'm fairly certain exist outside of the Liturgical town, I don't think we need a special page for this, just put the information on the BKA page instead where it'll be more visible and easier to get information.

Hahahaha I feel your pain!!! Im on Journey 7 and their backstabs are auto 1 shots. Basically, you just have to learn their locations and run through that area. In the regular version of the town you can see them walking around so it makes it easier to identify when you need to haul ass. As long as you get the statue lit, you won’t have to return to that statue again.

Off hand sentry torch and just jump heavy attack them. It staggers them and allows you to roll away and time the next attack. Pretty trivial once you do that.

You know what? I dont need to get to Haligtree. I already beat the game. 100+ hours. Not dealing with this invisible BS.

Is immune to scarlet rot status effect, but takes damage to spells such as Rotten Breath.

These are Black Knife Assassins, they are not called Invisible Warriors

Trivialised with flame of the redmanes ash on a crit weapon, the wide arc catches them. Equip the sentry torch in your left hand to make them visible, and a misericorde dagger or favoured crit weapon with redmanes ash in your right. Two-hand the crit weapon (torch on your back still exposes them), sneak up with a couple of casts of redmanes and it knocks them down for a crit, then just repeat. Make sure you kill all of them for the gloveworts before you leave the gaol.

Another way to see them is to inflict a status effect through a spell or ability, in case you don't have the torch. I personally used Greyoll's roar and was able to spot them because of it.
- Anonymous
Note that this is like every other Evergaol - if you light all 4 flames, but didn't kill the Assassins, you can't get their Gloveworts anymore.

There are at least 4 Assassins, each drops Glovewort +9, and they don't respawn. You can offhand Sentry Torch and then 2H your main weapon and it works too. For archers just get a shield while you traverse the rooftops.

My bleed build failed so I used stone of Gurranq instead, practically as a melee weapon, staggers them out of basically every attack. They'll dodge at range though.

I swear to god. Whoever had the idea of this enemy type AND made them invisible.. I hope both sides of your pillow will never be cool.

Sight range with sentry torch range isn’t as far as I thought, and they are still just as aids to fight as their boss counterpart. Even with vision.

Adulla's Moonblade shreds these guys on a pure INT built. Four casts at 68 INT stunlocked them, inflicted frostbite and left them a sliver of health away from death.

Have you ever thought to yourself "Man, I wish I could fight one of the most obnoxious enemy types, but they are completely invisible!"
Well boy do I have good news for you, buddy!
- Anonymous
You can see them for a brief moment if you hit them while they're invisible. Also you can see small smoke particles coming out of the ground when they move so you can predict their movement. They're hard but definitely beatable without the Sentry's torch.

Buy the Sentry Torch and these are very easy to kill. They have low health and don't change their behavior at all when you can see them, they remain slow attacking and passive. I only found two of them in the town. Once killed they do not respawn.

If you want to use weapon arts (Transient Moonlight) while holding the Sentry Torch, get the Lantern that you can activate on your toolbar, put the Sentry Torch in offhand, then two-hand your weapon. You'll be able to see these folks coming and use weapon arts.

They're not "Invisible Warriors", they're Black Knife Assassins, and if you equip the Sentry's Torch (even without the required stats), you can see them a mile away.
They definitely respawn if you die. Killed 2 and third one got me. Went to try again and the 2 I killed are alive again. Yay
