Direwolf Notes & Tips

  • Latenna The Albinauric is normally stationary, but is able to mount Direwolves if summoned near them. This gives her very high mobility and effectively takes the Direwolf out of the fight.
She may sometimes attack the Direwolf, and it may take a while before she tames it.
  • Whilst being ridden by an Albinauric Archer, Direwolves can use a Frost breath attack

Why are the Direwolves in Caria Manor so... nerfed and weak? The Albinaurics turn these things into killing supercomputers of hell.

These really should've been Spirit Summons at some point. Imagine the Jon Snow cosplay potential with an actual 'ghost' Direwolf at your side.

So in Caria Manor I lured the 2 direwolves into the summon area. She tamed one and then proceeded to shoot into his own head until he died.

For close range melee without a shield, these guys are probably one of the worst enemies in the game. Like every other enemy, they stagger, but their combos are very fast, and nearly endless at that. Plus with the insane tracking, good luck rolling away. Seriously, you need a shield to deal with these a-holes.

Y’know what direwolves are, right? They’re like wolves, but dire. (Anyone who’s ever played South Park: The Stick of Truth might get the reference lol)

Daaayuum! Who took those awesome pics? This pic gives us such a detailed look at these wolves. Wish quality pics like these should also be taken for other mobs page

I like that they made it so Latenna can tame and mount these and then proceeded to put them barely anywhere.
                  Good work.

                  • Discovered about an hour ago that Latenna The Albinauric can mount these guys. Unsure if she can mount Lone Wolves as well, but her going from almost completely stationary to highly mobile removes the only downside to using her in most cases. I've updated both her page and this page with the new info. Credit goes to Reddit user u/neoPie for the discovery!

we really don't see a lot of them. they're like, the runebears of bears, but direwolves of wolves. it's pretty cool. maybe we'll see more in a dlc?
