Ancestral Follower Shaman is an Enemy in Elden Ring. They can be heard singing throughout the Ancestral Woods in Siofra River. Their singing produces a glowing blue aura that grants a buff to nearby Ancestral Follower allies. When they are confronted alone they will stop singing and attack the player with an Ancestral Infant's Head and melee with their hand.
The ancestral followers live a distance from the Erdtree, awaiting new buds. They are certain to sprout from their very flesh, and indeed, their souls.

Wait...I think their song is the same song that the Desert Sirens sing in the original God of War for the PS2.
Edit: I listened to the GoW one again. It's not, but is pretty similar, especially since that was like almost 20 ago.

Why do rats gather around them in the Ancestral Woods of Nokron near the temple in the water?

Is there any connection between these and the abductor virgins? The way they hold ancestral infant head is similar to the design of the Abductor virgins where they are holding the baby on their bodies.

Compared to the "Chanting Winged Dame" (Harpy) song, the song of these ladies is pretty disappointing. 6 notes in a trite little fragment of a melody, looped with no lyrics. And the fact that they are gigantic but have normal human woman voices is also kinda disappointing.

I believe that the headband drop is bugged -- according to others, it may drop from the shaman near the big dead moose the first time, but never again if you miss it. I farmed this area for 3-4 hours, and here's what I found:
- The shaman near the dead moose never dropped anything. Not once.
- The shaman near the grace dropped leggings, furs, thin beast bones, and budding horns.
- The two shamans overlooking the water area dropped all of the above, with the addition of Nascent Butterflies.

Very easily farmable at the "Ancestral Woods" site of grace. If u follow the singing, there is one standing at an upper stone turned backwards. U can just kill her fast, and before the other guys notice u can run back to the grace and reset. Took me like 5-10mins to get this set.

Also found one in Conesecrated Snowfield, by some large trees and ice spikes

You don't have to go through Nokron to get to the ancestral woods. The first tower where you need to find the ghost turtles will bring you down an elevator. go through that and up another elevator and you will end up in the ancestral woods

Are they singing the same song as the Milfanitos from Dark Souls 2?
