Helm Wgt. 1.7

Crimson Hood is a Helm in Elden RingCrimson Hood is part of the Noble's Set, and is first seen worn by Roderika, spirit-tuner,  in Stormhill Shack. Crimson Hood protect the player's head by applying various defensive properties, it also changes the appearance as well when it is equipped. Some armor pieces may be available to both genders but may be slightly different for male and female characters.

A hooded cloak of vivid crimson.
Worn by expatriated royalty.
Increases vigor.

Such cloaks were gifted to those who departed on journeys without specific orders, to faraway lands from which they would never return. In other words, the gift of a cloak made it easier for undesirable to be on their way.

Roderika never once saw the guidance of grace.

This is really a stupid gate for the Crimson Hood. To complete Rodericka's quest and get her to the Roundtable Hold, you would have to make it past Stormveil already. Her Roundtable Hold appearance is triggered by that. So you are supposed to have gone around Stormveil, triggered her appearance, seen her at Roundable, got the sprit tuning bit working, and only THEN go through Stormveil. Ridiculous quest design.

Do we get this because Roderika is dead??
We find her wearing her hood. She wants to attempt to rescue her troop but she's afraid.
        We bring her the memento.
The next time we see her is at Roundtable Hold, which is within the Erdtree, either physically or magically... Without her hood.
Her hood is left on a pile of corpses around where her troop would have been. When someone dies, they return to the Erdtree...
Not everyone in RTH is dead. But is Roderika?

Get that +1 Vigor for Mandatory Vigor Check, wish it would give more but Roderika is such a sweetheart that ill take anything.

From the the Rampart Tower Grace. Face South and go through the door. Go down the left hand lift. Past two doorways into the room with the hanging body parts and it's first door on the right.

This item's description left me a little bit sad. The poor girl tries her best to be nice and brave and yet it seems she has been cast aside by everyone. Not even the grace showed her any sympathy.

I wish there were a special ending for Roderika :(

"Many Armed Key Master"? Seriously? I know a lot of the enemies don't get named; and the Grafted Scion might be the only one that's a Scion (it has a child's face) but come on... At least refer to the creature by a name people reading the page might recognize instead of whatever that name came from?

I really wish you could alter it to put the hood down, I want the nice cape but don't want my character's hair covered.

The quest mechanic in this game is so f*cking frustrating like for real. I love is this game as much as i hate it.

I didn't bring her the momento i was busy trying to fight Godrick and now i missed this item because just after defeating Rodrick she's at the round table ?

This is insane, and please fanboys don't tell me that i "had to know get gud" or that's because the game is letting you making choices and doesn't tell you ****, like how does that makes any sense that she f*cking forgot my quest and the things i had to do ?

They really need to fix that in in upcoming games.

If you put this cape on the Altered Knight Armor sets (Leyndell,Cuckoo, etc) it causes the giant shoulder crest to disappear. While that crest is nice when trying to make a big looking dude, If you're going for a more sleek look, it's a great change. Both the Red and Blue variants match the Cuckoo Knight set pretty well.

i don't know how but i didn't give her this item but i saw her at the round table. It mus have been because i skipped the castle and went thru to get the sword of night and flame.

This combined with Rotten Gravekeeper Cloak (Altered) gives a beautiful result. Instead of the long rotten cape, you have a smooth vibrant red that covers only one of the shoulders allowing the bright tube top to show on the right side instead of bring ''drowned'' by the long original cape.

Anyone got a list of which chest armors (non clothing) make both this and the blue variant drape over the shoulder? The ones that I know of so far off the top of my head is altered Cleanrot, and altered Blaidd.

Equipped this and it bricked my save (i.e. it crashed my game to desktop and then reloading caused an unavoidable crash in the loading screen). Be very careful with wearing this, I only salvaged my game from a save I manually backed up a couple minutes prior.
If it matters, I was wearing the Nox Swordstress armor chestpiece, Nox Monk Bracelets, Scaled Greaves, and the blue Navy Hood (part of the noble set).

The shoulder cape changes depending on what chest you are wearing, seems to have 4 stages.
If you equip something plain like Cloth Garb the shoulder cape will go the elbow.
Something a bit more bulky like Blue Cloth Vest it will only cover the shoulder.
Armor such as the Knight's Armor with bulky pauldrons will result in the cape being drawn back so it only goes directly down the characters back
And then armor with it's own bulky cape like Kaiden Armor will result in the cape being hidden altogether with only the hood visible.

So Roderika is some kind of exile aristocrat? because she travel with group and not alone . and since they are no need they decide to go to Stormveil castle (probably too afraid to commit suicide so at least let other help kill them) but it not an easy dead at Stormveil Castle either and WE help her find some purpose in her life right?

                                  • I never acquired or turned in the Chrysalids' Memento and still managed to find this hood. Seems the only requirement to find the hood is for her to officially become a Spirit Tuner after speaking with Hewig - he will proceed with that normally even if you completely miss out on the Chrysalids' Memento item. Quite literally got it my first time through Stormveil Castle.

I wish there were more versions of these for different stat arrays.

Although I admit that *mostly* I want a purple one for sweet fashion souls.
