The number of overleveled phantoms wearing this hat makes me want to puke. Please don't associate my waifu with moonveil spam.

Hopefully we get a staff that boosts cold sorceries in a DLC, to go along with this hat. If the DLC does in fact cater to how things were way before the rupture of the elden ring, it could easily be dropped by either the Old Crown itself, or a pre-doll Ranni. Or just found in a Snowy area of the game.

Either way, the cold sorceries could use a proper damage boost from a staff, like the Gravity and Night sorceries do. 20-30% preferably, thank youuuu.

Anyone knows what other armor set would look good alongside this hat? I like the hat but I'm not that much into the robe and skirt.

Actually a pretty nice piece given that frost spells are good now as of this comment, all thanks to some hefty buffs they got over time

its funny how this is one of the few mage hats that doesn't decrease hp, and yet the people who wear it have 700 hp max

I wish so badly there were more cool witchy hats...
I want to make a dark witch, and snow witch hat doesn't fit it.
And don't tell me about alberich hat, the fact that it hides your eyes doesn't count.
Come on, from, give us back Zullie's set and Karla's set...

This + Dirty chainmail + Perfumer gloves + Kaiden trousers along with the Pickaxe and the lantern activated is the perfect garden gnome drip

                  • This would definitely be my favorite sorcerer hat in the game if it was didn’t look so girly. Wish I could alter it to take off the girly band thing around the top of it and change the design or color on the bottom. Just looks girly to me. Also there’s not much other armor to match with it. I’m a huge fashion souls guy and best I’ve found is the lazuli robe. The original chest piece just makes it super girly and still doesn’t exactly match the color. Hopefully the dlc will add better stuff to wear with it or better yet another hat like it.

Probably the only hat in the game people would have been happy to keep the hair/spectral effect on, yet they thought "you know what, no."

The 5 extraordinarily large elden hats.. The snow witch hat, Preceptor's big hat, The greathood, The envoy crown, and the legendary pumpkin helm.

Is there any way to alter the appearance of the hat like other items? It's a little big for my character and I'm curious as to if it can be crafted into a head wrap like other hats in game.

Every game I look for the best witch hat, rogiers is cucked by the weird nun wrap so this is #1
                            Karlas is the GOAT

Would love to use this hat but the clipping when using even the thematic Dark Moon Greatsword looks silly

This does increase the damage of Hoarfrost Stomp from the Icerind Hatchet. Idk if there are other ice based skills or ashes of war, but if it works of Hoarfrost Stomp it probably works on them too.

Seems to boost it about 10%. And to the comment below, it really depends on how much base int you have. If you have lower INT between 20-40 I think the Twinsage hat or Imp Hat is better. But If you have 60+ it seems this adds far more damage from my test.

I have 70 INT and this hat gives me a +172 damage on Ranni full moon, versus Twinsage Glintstone Crown(+6 INT) gives the spell +85 damage.

insignificantly increases cold sorceries. hitting a giant's weakspot using Glintstone Icecrag without a hat, I did 1030, hitting it with Ranni's I did 1125 and hitting it with the Imp Statue hat (+2 int) I did 1250.

                                      “Strengthens cold sorcery.”

Does this only apply to sorceries or does it also work with incantations/any ‘cold’ damage?

                                      • Anonymous

By "cold sorcery", does it mean any frost-damage sorcery, or does it specifically mean the "cold sorcery" that Ranni learned from the snow witch?

There are 3 frost-damage spells that are not 'cold sorcery' from the snow witch:
"Ranni's Dark Moon" - It's a Carian sorcery, specifically 'full moon sorcery'. Does it still count as a 'cold sorcery' too?
"Adula's Moonblade" - Likewise, same issue. It's a 'Carian sword sorcery' (the Carian sigil shows up in the spellcasting, and the dragon is technically a 'Carian knight').
"Zamor Ice Storm" - Also not one of the snow witch's cold sorceries. It also instead uses the term 'ice sorcery'.

Hopefully, they won't be that pedantic about magic categories, but it's just that they've been very particular about the lore-accuracy of these sigils that show up while spellcasting.
