Writheblood Ruins Walkthrough
Writheblood Ruins can be found just north of Sainted Hero's Grave, when you arrive at the location, there will be a couple of Skeletal Slimes in the area, you can completely skip past them and just head down the underground chamber and traverse the mist to fight Sanguine Noble, the boss in the area. Once you traverse the mist, the boss fight will begin. It is recommended that you equip a lantern to get a bit of light, since the area is a bit dark, and it will help you see the blood puddles that the Noble will put on the ground. Every single attack the boss does will stack bleed, so you'll have to watch your meter everytime you get hit. The Noble's attacks are very fast, it has both melee and long-range capabilities. It can throw out its weapon as a projectile, leave blood puddles on the ground, and when it gets in close it will start a flurry of stabs and slashes. When you see his left hand with the dagger up, do not attack with melee, you will get parried, and when you're still a bit low level, it could kill you instantly. Instead, you can use ranged attacks such as sorceries and bows, that cannot be parried. After defeating the boss, you can then open the chest within the room and receive the Bloody Helice.
In the northeastern part of the ruins, Magnus the Beast Claw's invasion sign can be found. He can be defeated to progress White Mask Varré's questline without playing online.

Just experienced the dogs here, in one bite they hit you multiple times with blood loss build up. It seems like it's a bug to me but who knows... If you get unlucky and a dog insta-kills you, at least there's a site of Markia like right there, so getting your runes back isn't too difficult. :/
