      Apparently my reply wasn't allowed.
To the guy below me, I say "Ool" because it is spelled in such a way.
If it is "Yule" then they should spell it that way.

Hey, just want to throw this out there, Uhl is my last name, about 80,000 people have this last name, and it's pronounced Yule, not Ool or Ull. If anyone cares it means Owl. I don't know if that was the intention of the developers, but it seems odd that they would just name a place after a noise without any interest in meaning

who are those scythe wielding guys on the path leading up to the bit where you get the wing of astel? they don't move like normal claymen and i don't think you ever get the scythe they wield, one of thems t-posing right on the edge of the cave you walk out of.

it drops from the one's right by the Soifra well elevator but the odds of it dropping are horrible. 6 full clears with silver pickled fowl foot to get it here.

Who tf Uhl? Or uld for the overworld counterpart? Anyone care to theorize? I don't have any item describing this guy.

There's a Hermit Merchant, though, right below Astel. Behind Astel is a hidden room, but that room is empty so I'm not sure what the point in that was

The wiki says that there are no merchants in this area.
This is incorrect - there is a Hermit Mechant here who sells some gear and also two key items:

                  Nomadic Warriors Cookbook [16]
                  Perfumer's Cookbook [4]

Sold for 2500 and 3000 runes, respectively.

For those having trouble finding their way up to the area behind the Malformed Star:

In the room before the room with the Malformed Star to the right there's a passage way that'll lead you to that section and you can climb up.

Unfortunately there's nothing in the room behind the Malformed Star.

this fight is hard and on top of that it only gives 30k souls???? my advice is use a leveled ancestor spirit if you have it, use the bloody slash (did a ton of damage for me), and pray you get lucky they both dont spit poison at the same time. this boss sucks but dont believe the people saying its worse than radahn lol

I killed the Dragonkin thinking his room would allow me to loop back deeper into the map but it’s surrounded by big walls and fatal falls. I can see a Grace in the distance taunting me how the hell do I get there?

how do you reach the 3rd level of the building with the hermit merchant? I mean the level above the dark orbs monster.

                          • Anonymous

Killed the weird thing hanging from the ceilling that throws dark orbs at you, did not drop anything and the room behind it was also empty.
