Apostate Derelict |

A ruined church lying in the frozen north-west |
Apostate Derelict is a Location in Elden Ring. The Apostate Derelict is found in Consecrated Snowfield. It can be reached by following the frozen river in the region northwest, taking the hill on the west side just before it ends and going past the Wandering Mausoleum. Players should approach with caution, as the nearby Wandering Mausoleum fires magical artillery into the air, which while not explicitly aimed or homing, can be dangerous to the player.

Apostate Derelict Walkthrough
There's not much to do at this location, but it serves as the end-point for Latenna's questline. There is a shield on the ground to pick up which provides the players with good absorption for both physical and magical defense. The nearby Wandering Mausoleum can quickly be accessed by the site of grace here.
Some other items can be obtained in the nearby vicinity.
- Somber Smithing Stone [9]: Found on a corpse sitting on a chair overlooking the edge east of the Apostate Derelict. [Elden Ring Map Link]
- Golden Rune (12): Found on a corpse draped over the cliffs overlooking frozen lake southeast of this location Elden Ring Map Link
- 12x Trina's Lily: Found immediately NE outside the building around the tree with the jellyfish.
Boss Fight
- Death Rite Bird: Found at the head of the frozen river, just southeast of the Apostate Derelict at night. [Elden Ring Map here]
Elden Ring Apostate Derelict Gallery and Notes
Picture of the "young yet towering" Albinauric woman, presumably called Phillia (see Latenna's monologue upon defeat).

Funny cheese for the Death Rite Bird in this area: Get it stuck in the rock pillar where the nascent butterflies and two land octopus are. When it does the spin attack with poker, there's a chance for it to get stuck mid air between the wall and the pillar, then it just dies of 'fall damage'. Just discovered this when helping family try to defeat it.

So this is the ALBINAUREC WHOMAN Gideon searches for, respect

"Almost done, just gotta model a new character for Phillia."
"Nah, just copy Latenna and scale up. Change literally nothing."

Why are there so many bloodstains around the grace? What's killing players?

She's sitting there holding her stomach saying "oooh I shouldn't have eaten the prawn sandwich from that dodgey Boggart guy, I need a giant dump !"

Too bad the artillery tomb doesn't have enough range to help you with the death rite bird in the river below. There are also some graven masses that use the same sort of artillery sorcery in the snowfield, southeast of the albinauric rise. Is there a spell players can find with a similar effect? And lore-wise, what did Raya Lucaria think about those who live in death? Could Sellen and the graven school's fall from grace be related to this infused mausoleum?

Phillia looks suspiciously similar to the giant skeletons on the thrones in Nokron and where you fight the dragonkin soldier...also the skeletons are high above on the throne, since they don't/can't use their legs away...

Saying the explosive blue fire "can be dangerous" to the player has to have been edited by a troll. "Can be dangerous"? really? That blue fire explodes when it lands it doens't f**ing need to be aimed or guided, "can be dangerous" is a massive understatement.

Her full name is Phillia, Towering Little Sister. Someone on Youtube made her aggro and that's what shows up if you target lock her

The Walking Mausoleum should absolutely not be subdued before touching the site of graces. Who wrote that it should be? Touch the site of graces so you never have to run up under its artillery fire again and can easily subdue it avoiding any mishaps.

So this woman is what Latenna is looking for, and she gives her a “birthing droplet.”
I assume that’s to allow her to birth new Albinaurics to keep their species alive.

I can not summon in front of the big woman. So frustrating. Is there a chance where you miss your chance on ending this quest?

is the walking mausoleum here supposed to never stop shooting? because it is impossible to get anywhere within like 500 feet of it without instantly dying

Does finishing Latenna's quest mean you can't summon her anymore? She's such a good summon!
Golden Rune (13): Found on a corpse down the cliffs at north-west of the church (2 little octopus with it)

pulling up to this place with zero context and seeing a random giant sleeping woman that you can't attack creeped me out for a second lol

For all the distracted Tarnished: to summon Latenna for the quest, you must stand in a specific spot a few steps in front of the large sister and press the action button. It's basically the spot where the shield is.

I'm pretty sure that the giant woman's name is Phillia. According to Latenna's dialog upon death: "Ohh...Phillia. Take...the birthing...droplet...". When you summon Latenna in front of the giant woman and finish her questline she says: "Oh young yet towering sister of ours. Let the birthing droplet in. And create life. For us. For all the Albinaurics.".

I think this is same situation as stormville castle, there might be continuation of Latenna quest as she gives life to the tall woman

First the large women, then the petite women, then the large women again
Just when I thought I was free of Lobo-blues...she HAD to go and bring him up again. Ugh...feels bad

Due to Trina's Lily being in abundance by a nearby tree here, I believe the woman could be St Trina!

I was late to meet lattena, and only found her spirit ash. Does anyone know how to summon her in front of giant lady without meeting her properly?

Apparently there is a Death Rite bird nearby in there, go figure

There is no usage of combat in the area...so I moved out every attack goes through Large Woman. No affect.
