Albinauric Rise Walkthrough
The entrance to Albinauric Rise is initially sealed upon your first visit. There is a statue of two Imps fighting each other right outside the tower. This is a clue as to how to unlock the seal. There are two ways you can go about solving this puzzle. Choose the one which is more convenient for you:
- Puzzle Solution #1 - Requires killing an Imp while you have the Fanged Imp Ashes summon out. This can be purchased from the Isolated Merchant found at the Raya Lucaria Academy for 2,000
Runes.
- Puzzle Solution #2 - Requires using a Bewitching Branch or a few Crystal Darts on one of the two imps patrolling the tower to make them kill each other.
When successful, you are notified of the seal being broken. Head into the tower and get to the top floor to find the Graven-Mass Talisman sitting on a bed of crystal.

I was a little sad because I DID figure it out in that I wounded the imps badly, then lured one in close against my shield, and the one behind it struck it several times but its weapon just passed through harmlessly. Apparently physics only applies if they're mad at each other! xD But me having spirit ashes on the other side of the building and then killing them myself counts. Derp!

throw crystal daggers at one of the imps, it makes enemies turn on each other for a short time. No need for spirit ashes or bewitching branch.

Looking this up ahead of time because the puzzles have been getting ridiculous. This one I would never have figured out. Like, what if I didn't have those items?

There is a magic door at the top of the tower. You cannot enter even if you jump from cliff onto the upper staircase. No puzzle-skip, unfortunately.

I think you can also enter the tower bypassing the puzzle by jumping on its outer spiral staircase from the cliff across

After 100% Tunic before playing Elden Ring... I can safely say Fromsoft does not know how to make interesting puzzles with these towers.

Updated to current version, playing online. I killed an imp before my imps did any damage to it and it didn't count. Your imps MAY just need to deal damage to an imp you kill to solve the puzzle. I let them wittle down while throwing daggers at the next imp and my imps last hit it, so I don't know if just dealing damage from an imp summon would've been enough to work.

Why is the giant ball at the top of the tower the same kind of ball of heads Sellen was turned into? If you go all the way around it there is a really creepy smiling face
* When you don't know how to make interesting puzzles but you think that puzzles is a must in video games *

This reminds me of a poorly designed escape room. How the hell would anyone figure that out on their own?

Has anybody noticed there's a similar respawning Spirit Imp next to the Bower of Bounty Site of Grace?

So I summoned the imps, both got killed by one of the tower's Imps, and so I killed that imp myself and the tower opened for me. I repeat: I killed the imp myself and the tower opened after having just summoned the fanged imps.

There's a Rune Arc in a chest that can be accessed from this tower. Move up the ladder in the tower and climb the stairs, but instead of entering the room where you find the Talisman, look southward and you'll notice a small plateau. Summon Torrent and double jump onto that plateau. There's an already opened chest with a Rune Arc inside.

Your summoned imps actually need to kill another imp, won’t open if you kill one while they’re “out”

Bewitching branch did the trick, good that there was at least one use for that item.

Lol I tried wearing the imp head and killing one with their weapon
I find this "puzzle" to be a bit insulting. This isn't like the killing the three beasts which are just friendly ghosts to unlock another tower. How in the world would anybody know this without reading a wiki? And it contains the most OP talisman in the game. I am saying this because I don't believe there was any clue as to what to do to unlock the barrier to the tower.
This helped me basically one-shot a late-game boss or two, and have a fighting chance as an average player against others.
The tower should have one of those stonesword key imps in its front saying something that helps the player.

This tower is super easy to unlock. Just get those two imps near each other and shoot crystal darts at one of them. After a couple of throws, the imp will get shocked and start attacking the other imp. When one of the imp dies, the tower unlocks.

Needs to be buffed to 15% dmg to compete with Alexandar and Ashes of War meta

Amusingly, an enemy imp killing your summon also seems to count.

It is also possible to access it via horse jumping off a ledge just south of the tower, crystal darts are another way to make imps go crazy
- Anonymous
There's a Rune Arc if you jump south from the top of the tower.

Just did this by summoning imps lvl 1 (from isolated merchant), imp killed them pretty fast but i unlocked the door by killing the imp myself afterwards

Only had to use Bewitching Branch and did not have to solve another puzzle

there’s 3 imps at the tower, not two. it killed my last imp from behind. thanks for the accurate info

I'm pretty sure you can skip this by jumping onto the staircase from the nearby cliff, if you approach it from the east.

Just to clarify you do not need to use both methods for seal to break. Rather puzzle #1 and puzzle #2 are two different solutions to the same puzzle. So choose one or the other according to what you have.

Just a correction to the article--the Graven-Mass Talisman is not in a chest. It is just an item pickup on the ground.

SImilar to the Bewitching Branch, Crystal Darts causes Golem-type creatures like the Imps to target allies. So a few of those will turn one imp against the other and solve it in a similar manner to the branch. Cheaper/easier to do as well.
- Anonymous
puzzle can also be solved by using a bewitching branch to charm one of the imps

I misunderstood the Puzzle #1, I thought the summon had to kill the Imp so I weakened the imp for them
Turns out if the Summon kills the Imp it also counts as the Imp killing another Imp, so I cleared both Puzzle #1 and #2 at the same time

third solution: you could also just kill them both at the same time, it will work too. Probably the easiest way since if you don't have the summon brought and levelled up or no materials for the 2nd solution.
