The seat of reigning Elden Lord |
Elden Throne is a Location in Elden Ring.
The Elden Throne is found in Leyndell, Royal Capital. You can reach the Elden Throne through the Queen's Bedchamber. Here the battle with Morgott, The Omen King takes place. After the fight, you can attempt to enter the Erdtree only for access to be denied, causing the Site of Grace to spawn in the center of the arena. Melina tells you that in order to unlock the entrance to the Erdtree you need to travel to Mountaintops of the Giants.
After completing Crumbling Farum Azula, the player is directed back to the Elden Throne from Leyndell, Ashen Capital to realize their ambition of becoming the Elden Lord. Godfrey, First Elden Lord now appears in Morgott's arena and must be defeated to proceed. The Elden Throne Site of Grace becomes available again, and is the final checkpoint before the final bosses located in the Erdtree.

Elden Throne Walkthrough
Your first visit at the Elden Throne consists of the battle with Morgott, The Omen King. After defeating him, you can interact with the Erdtree, but the thorns won't allow you to pass. Activate the newly appeared Site of Grace, to have a small conversation with Melina. She will offer to journey with you again to try and get rid of the thorns, handing you the Rold Medallion which lets you access the Mountaintops of the Giants.
After completing Crumbling Farum Azula, you will be directed back to the Elden Throne from Leyndell, Ashen Capital. Godfrey, First Elden Lord will be your next challenge. Defeat him and the Site of Grace will appear in the arena. You can now travel past the burned-away thorns in the Erdtree and touch the light at the end of the tunnel to face the final bosses of this game.

I wish the Erdtree was a proper dungeon like the Haligtree, rather than just an open room with a boss in it. Ascending it in a sort of reverse fashion to the Great Hollow from DS1 would've been cool.

The Elden Throne site of grace is positioned directly above the eastern edge of the Erdtree trunk in Deeproot Depths. Good attention to detail.

Anyone else notice that wrinky, shriveled dude laying on the floor behind the throne after talking to Melina and reloading the grace? Should I know who that is or is it some random tarnished

It’s interesting that this throne seat is destructible, while the one inside Stormveil Castle isn’t

I came here after beating the game and walked up to the final boss room again (which I cannot pass through) and now I am locked out of fast traveling. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do here?
How is this arena still standing after sustaining both Morgott and Godfrey's fights
