Divine Tower of West Altus is a Location in Elden Ring. The Divine Tower of West Altus is found in Capital Outskirts between Altus Plateau and Leyndell, Royal Capital. It can only be reached by going through a series of illusory walls found in Sealed Tunnel. The path is linear, so there's no way to miss it, and illusory walls are generally at the end of each new area. You have to fight Onyx Lord which can be defeated in your first encounter if you are prudent enough.
NOTE: You cannot access the Divine Tower of West Altus without first defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. Otherwise, you'll get a message saying the "[The door] is tightly blocked shut"

Divine Tower of West Altus Walkthrough
Reach this tower after defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy at the Volcano Manor and obtaining Rykard's Great Rune [Elden Ring Map Link] to restore its power. Choose to reach this location before this event and you will instead be greeted with its tightly blocked shut doors.
The entrance to the Divine Tower is hidden and can only be found by going through a series of illusory walls and defeat Onyx Lord in the Sealed Tunnel. (Follow the Sealed Tunnel Guide to reach this area.)
Once you reach the tower, step to the center of the tower platform to ascend. Take the stairs all the way up wrapping around the exterior of the tower to eventually reach. Here, you can restore the power of the Great Rune.

Why would they put Rykards divine tower all the way at the capital when hes at MT Gelmir. I can only surmise that before he became a blasphemer he was located within the capital? Also the tower is south, unless they mean WEST of Mt gelmir.

Both tower and gate graces are bugged for me after patched. Warping to them freezes the game during the loading screen. Trying to go their via Sealed Tunnel also crashes as you get near the exit. Playing on PC and the other towers are fine.

Just patched it with the latest one and both the grace at the bottom and on top are bugged and crashes the game for me if I tried to fas travel. Also trying to get there manually by the Sealed Tunnel is OK until you get near the boss room where it crashes. Thank God I got the rune there beforehand but still.

I beat the Onyx Lord but when I try to open the tower gates it says it's tightly blocked shut. Anyone know what I missing? Thanks...
I’ve defeated rykard but still says tightly blocked shut.
