Hey does anyone know if u already did most their quest before they die, can you still finish their quest after they’re revived?
- Anonymous
It needs to be made clearer that Absolution does not revive ANYONE, just stops NPC's from being Aggro if they're still alive
- Anonymous
Oddly enough I killed Blaid after letting him out of the evergoal, figured I was out of luck for his armor but after absolution he spawned in at his normal spot and I was able to get the armor after all.
Seems to be the only npc I’ve been able to resurrect with this?

You don't need absolution for killing the merchants because you didn't do anything wrong. Check their background lore and you won't feel like such a rat anymore.

I accidentally killed Boc at lake facing cliffs because i wanted to try out Placidusax's Ruin and i didn't notice Boc was there
i can't even revive the poor dude :(
i feel so bad
- Anonymous
I like how I can straight-up murder someone, and then apparently NOT be in need of absolution.
Guys it doesn't actually revive npcs it simply de agros them the reason people like ranni and sellen get revived is cause they can't die
- Anonymous
Does this let me keep the loot from felled npcs? Kinda wanna get Alexander's shard but not leave him dead

I had something really weird happen with this. I was doing Ranni’s questline for a new build and grabbed the Carian statue from her after handing over the finger slayer blade. I did not rest at a site of grace and checked to see if Selvus was still alive. He was. I hit him accidentally, and it made me absolve myself or whatever. Anywho, I did that and Renna’s Rise opened up without me ever going to the inverted tower. Skipped that whole bit.

There are some repeated locations in the list.
I think there are a total of 10 Celestial Dew per gameplay.

Please advise that Gurranq is NOT affected by Celestial Dew if he goes aggressive naturally by giving him Deathroot. You must hit him until he surrenders.
- Anonymous
if i hit sellen's hologram cuz i saw the real sellen and she disappeared, can i bring her back with this or have i phuccd her questline?
- Anonymous
There may be something I don't understand yet, but I antagonised Gurranq by attacking the boss outside his sanctum and when I used the Celestial Dew, he didn't reset to friendly.
Had Albus antagonised too and he did become friendly again (I thought he was a mob, don't ask...)

Don't know if that's is a bug but white faced lad who leads u to mohgwyns palace does not deaggro when you use this, at least for me he didn't

Does not revive Latenna. I'm going to see if it works after I find the first Haligtree Medallion half.
- Anonymous
Don't bother trying this to bring Melina back if you pissed her off by inheriting the frenzied flame, it doesn't work. It SHOULD, but it doesn't -.-
- Anonymous
Does this revive Jerren if you kill him after finishing his version of the questline?
- Anonymous
It does not revive dead NPCs. That's just false information that's been there since the page creation and never changed. It'll bring back NPCs that stepped away because you made them mad (Sellen's fake body, Ranni if you try to drug her) but not anyone who actually died. Also obviously it'll deaggro NPCs that you made hostile.
- Anonymous
sees "revives npcs", kills an npc. Doesnt revive npc! wow! look at that. As the in game item states, all it does is reverse antagonizations, nothing more.

I've mistankenly given Seluvi's potion to Nepheli. I dont think using this would 'undo' what i've done, right? techinically I didnt kill Nepheli, I just chose a different path.
- Anonymous
rya got killed by the iron virgin at the end of her questline
anybody know if i can reverse this? i didn't want to kill her she did nothing wrong
- Anonymous
This should really be edited to say 'Reverses all NPC antagonizations and revives Sellen's trapped body.'
It currently says 'Reverses all antagonizations and resurrects all dead merchant NPCs' and that's very misleading.
- Anonymous
This item seems utterly useless. Any merchants you kill you get their bell bearing and just makes it more convenient anyway as you have their shop in the round table area and this dew doesn't even work for any quest NPCs.
- Anonymous
Seluvis' page mentions that this will also allow a player to continue with Ranni's questline after attempting to betray her, which would cause her an Iji to despawn. Which means this does way more than merely bring back killed merchants. I wonder if there is a list somewhere that someone has compiled.

The Silver Tears enemies can drop them, one not sure if location matters, but one just dropped a celestial dew for me in Nokron
- Anonymous
I was really hoping this would fix melina leaving you after getting the frenzied flame considering that no one even dies in that situation but it currently doesnt seem to work. It seemed like exactly the kind of thing the dew should be used for and now I'm stuck with the quote-unquote "bad ending"
- Anonymous
This is pretty much worthless if it only revives a tiny number of NPC. It's only point would be to stop people from getting locked out of ending the game. Even then, this just seems like a hell of a convoluted solution. It's also not a good solution because people who could still be locked out since these are finite. It just makes no sense from a design stand point. Either make it so one NPC can get revived per dew (which is what most people think it does when they first see them item) or make it so you can finish the game no matter who you kill. If you can't do that, at least make these infinite so it actually works as designed.

If you make Jarburg Jars hostile by killing one, you can absolve yourself to make them passive again.

Can’t use to revive Millicent after killing her in the prayer room, so it seems she cannot be revived at all
- Anonymous
Can't use this to revive Gostoc. It says I don't need absolution.

I've just killed every NPC merchant (the common ones) and tried the Atone action, but it didn't work.
Said I don't need absolution but I literally just murdered every merchant.
This is after finshing the main story, though - that may have some impact/bug?
- Anonymous
Doesn't seem to work for Gostoc or Patches at the moment, it just says I don't need absolution.
- Anonymous
there is one in Leyndell after the Godwyn phantom fight. From the site of grace, exit to the east, then go up the branch/root thing to the left. You'll be at the balcony thing on top of the site of grace. Exit to the north then go left and down to the roof. There will be an open window. Enter that window and go to the door south. It's on a corpse hanging by a ladder.
- Anonymous
So, to be clear, this will revive Gostoc? I kind of murdered him the day before a patch that extends his questline came out.
- Anonymous
My game was bugged and wouldn't let me give the Academy Glinstone Key to Thops. I killed Thops and still didn't get the Erudition emote. Can't resurrect Thops. I have to wait til NG+ to get Erudition. Feelsbadman

Is Absolution bugged for anyone else after 1.03? No matter who I aggress or kill it says " You do not need absolution?"
- Anonymous
This article should really be updated. It won’t revive any traveling or isolated merchants, period. Reviving “merchants” is very misleading. Seems to only revive quest NPCs that would otherwise lock you out of major quest lines.

It revived Sellen's real body when I killed her out of pity. It did not revive Gostoc after i killed him when he moved to Godrick.

You guys should read better. İt says revive merchants not npcs. You can only deagro them after attacking.

You can find another on the corpse at the inner South Raya Lucaria Gate.

Knight Bernahl can't be revived which sucks if you wanted some heavy armor in the early game.
- Anonymous
D, the vampire hunter cannot be revived. Accidentally killed him before his questline started. No dice.

By "merchants" it doesn't mean the merchants scattered around. I killed Kale to get the emote I missed (he still didn't drop it though *sigh*) and I couldn't even use the absolution to get him back
- Anonymous
There's one after the isolated merchant in Raya Lucaria down past the seal by the Academy Gate Entrance guarded by a bloodhound knight

About to spend one of these after smacking Boc on accident...
Is there any other NPC that I should go ahead and hunt down and grab their loot from since I am spending one of these anyways? I know some NPC's dont get revived by the absolution mechanic and would like to avoid those!

can't revive Millicent if you accidentally step on her head in the Haligtree's Base area

I killed Blaidd when I first met him at the ruins hoping to get his gear and this revived him!

Sadly Iron Fist Alexander does not seem to be revived by this.

I accidentally killed sorceress Sellen in that witchbane ruins area, confirming that she does get revived if you absolve at the church of vows, can't confirm for any other NPC though.
- Anonymous
As I tested - it either revives "main" NPCs or necessary ones to progress, it didn't revive Diallos and first ash of war trader. Don't know why. So be careful with killing NPCs if you want to see their questlines.
- Anonymous
It does not revive dead NPCs.
Sellen is simply not easily killed due to her not being in a real body
- Anonymous
I had killed the man inside The warmaster Shack he did not revive when I did absolution same for the man who is kicking godric after you defeat him

To get to the Uhl Ruins one, teleport to the Uhl Ruins Grace just before the lift. Instead of taking the lift, backtrack down the stairs and up the tunnel you came in through originally. When you reach the dead body room, go to the right and jump up the rocks to reach the tunnel. This will take you to the queen ant room; killing her (easy) gives you a Golden Rune 10 and will aggro other ants. Run through this room to the tunnel on the other side and it’ll take you to a ledge above the palace ruins. You can drop to some ruins for a smithing stone, then drop further to a rock ledge for the celestial dew.
Theres an additional "easy access" celestial dew (and a vendor just inside of Raya Lucaria Acadamy main gate that sells the sleep arrows recipe and the starting item ashes (imp)):
- once you have the glintstone key, traverse the gate and it transports you near the lift, instead turn around and head back toward the gate without using the seal.
- there will be wolves on the way
- go past the vendor all the way to the main gate
- be aware of an annoying enemy that drops from above the gate
- almost touching the gate is a dead body with the celestial dew

Missing: can purchase 1 from Pidia in Caria Manor for 5000 runes

I'd like to let everyone know that celestial dew does not SIMPLY "absolve all sins", it also REVIVES NPCS. I made the mistake of not realizing that Sorceress Sellen's real body was in another place, and killed her when I found her tied up against the wall (not my smartest play...), and found out over 20 hours later that she was a necessary NPC, when I found out about absolution from the church of vows, it was the _last_ possible thread of hope, and after fully clearing Ainsel river, I used the one dew I managed to find, teleported back, and Sellen was back. so once again, ABSOLUTION REVIVES NPC's.
Why tf does the fourth location list uhl palace ruins on the ground with no map link? Clearly fos, as it doesnt exist.
