Only book I couldn't get, the dude was dead even though I swear I'd never been near him. Got the other books from every other guy after, just not this guy... RIP

i did attack him (did not kill him), went to the near site of grace than went again to him, and still got the book

There wasn’t one at the pond, but there is one directly south on a hill, also where a larval tear spawns at night

The guy just didn't spawn for me, he's just not in the spot where it's supposed to be...

I accidentally hit the guy and when he flinched I felt like I just had killed Sif in DS1 :(

Welp I guess I have to go all the way through the next ng+ cycle to get one recipe.

Is there a way to get this if you kill the servant of rot? I thought it was an enemy :(
Killed it on sight, good thing he didn't have the most usefull craftable consumable against Messmer or anything...
