Miquella's Cross

miquellas cross sote elden ring wiki guide 300px
These crosses mark where Miquella, the demigod, shed a part of himself. In his quest to free himself from the bindings of the Golden Order, he left fragments of his essence scattered across the land. Seek these crosses for they hold the secrets of his journey.

Miquella's Crosses are Points of Interest in Elden Ring debuting in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Miquella's Crosses are scattered around the Shadow Realm, and finding these points of interest will guide players to the primary path of progression. There are also Miquella's Crosses hidden in secret areas that require thorough exploration to discover. These are valuable points of interest as they often contain Scadutree Fragments which players can use to increase their overall power as they navigate the Shadow Realm. This page covers all the locations of Miquella's Crosses in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Miquella's Crosses Information in Elden Ring

  • Miquella's Crosses are significant landmarks introduced in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. These crosses guide players towards the end of the game and are central to the narrative progression.
  • Some of Miquella's Crosses are placed in secretive areas, encouraging players to explore thoroughly to find them.
  • Each one of Miquella's Cross is a source of Scadutree Fragments, a new upgrade material introduced in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. These are optional consumables that can be used to enhance simultaneously offensive and defensive capabilities at any Sites of Grace, acting like a permanent boost to your DLC damage dealt and damage negation.
  • These crosses have lore significance, as they are locations where the demigod Miquella discarded aspects of himself, providing clues to his whereabouts.
  • Players will often find certain NPCs near these crosses.
  • Unique crafting materials are often gathered around these crosses.
  • While many of Miquella's Crosses are located near a Site of Grace, this isn't always guaranteed.
  • Finding the Belurat Tower Settlement Cross, Scaduview Cross, or Cerulean Coast Cross prompts dialogue from Sir Ansbach. Finding two of these crosses allows Ansbach to reach a conclusion about Miquella’s intentions. This dialogue becomes unavailable upon approaching theShadow Keep

The real reward and purpose of these is located away from the crosses themselves. But, I feel like most players, myself included, have missed it. Ansbach will give you nice dialogue and interesting lore when you report to him the location of each of these crosses.

I have unfortunately reached the "A great rune has been broken" point, and he has moved locations, but I have yet to reach his location inside Shadow Keep, so I don't know if I'm permanently screwed out of some of that interesting dialogue... Will report later.

So, those crosses where absolutly useless ?
they didnt do anything, the messages left behind by miquella were almost copy pasted, and collecting all didnt reward you anything either
or did i miss something ?

So does anything special happen if you touch them all? Or do they literally only exist as an excuse to give you scadutree fragments?
