Elden Ring Duelist's Furled Finger Guide

  • You can leave a red summon sign to play competitive multiplayer.
  • This sign will appear in other players' worlds and allow them to summon you as a duelist adversary for competitive multiplayer.
  • Multiplayer begins once you are summoned. (Your goal will be to defeat the Host of Fingers.)
  • If you leave a second summon sign, the older sign will vanish.

      where the commu arena ?
not found any sign in Raya lucaria anymore.
I DO NOT use the shtty official arena with full of brainless meta who get sponser by CE spaming starlight shard and AoWs or magic.
I just want to have fun with my funny build.

They did a terrible job with this in ds3 when you were summoned as a duelist you would keep your emberd status in this game you don't get to keep your great rune but the host does so they can easily get a massive health and stamina advantage over you all of this on top your healing being reduced by half. Sometimes I get the feeling fromsoft just hates reds in general even if they're honorable duelists.

          Dear host,
No, I’m not going to fight the duelist you just summoned. If I wanted PvP I would have gone to the colosseum. This is your mess, now clean it up yourself.
          Sincerely,
          Your brother in co-op

Why doesn't this automatically send the other phantoms home when you summon a duelist? Or better yet keep them there but deactivate their hitboxes and hurt boxes and turn them into spectator phantoms.

Every dueler has its own moral rules. For me, the crimson bubbletear is perfectly OK, since I could mix the same but deliberately sacrifice it for something else. What I consider cowardice is those guys that finish duels off with consumables. What's the matter man, afraid to get beaten from full health by a 1hp guy? Come on, grow some courage and finish it legitly. Same reason I never heal poison in duels. Like, my enemy's whole setup is about inflicting poison, healing it would be like if he straight-up negated magic damage against my battlemage build. What's the point then?
I hope if the duel arenas arrive in the DLC, consumables would either be banned or very limited, like Estus was in DS3 brawl mode

They should block out cooperators if they summon you first so y'all don't get ganked or give a warning or something. Kinda boring and *** that only one spot is for dueling cuz the community said so

I have never seen a single duelist sign in the entire time I've played this game since it has released. Invasions are the only pvp I can get, either doing them or getting invaded.

So has anyone else noticed the increase in gank squads with this item like I might as well invade if 4 people are gonna bloodlett me at once

Got summoned by someone. They were alone (this wasn't a very active grace). Then they proceeded to fight the nearby enemies, get swarmed, and die...

Question, if I'm level 350, will players only around that range see my sign? I have a second character level 100 and I notice I get more duels with that one.
I have yet to find anyone with my 350 dude.

I usually don't do Souls multiplayer but I tried doing some duels. is the summon sign "level gated"? am I summoning/being summoned to people around me level? like in invasions?

                          • Anonymous

Does anyone know if the summoned player’s stats are scaled down if they were summoned via a password? I summoned a friend of mine who beat the game so he could drop me an item I missed, and while duelling with him later for fun I realised a single swing from his straight sword would take away half of my health bar (I had just reached Raya Lucaria Academy at that point) while it took me like 5 impaling thrust AoW and several normal hits to kill him.

Why yes, i dont spend 40 seconds buffing my character up using spells in pvp. How could you tell? *inset gigachad Jpeg*

                              • "No flask healing in duels" isn't some arbitrary rule of etiquette. There are other reasons, but the most important by far is that the host would get a huge advantage. (The summoned player's flask charges are halved.)

Do red summons work when main area boss is killed (like in DS3) or killing a boss cuts off every online interaction in that zone?

I usually get about 30k runes per win but got 100k by beating someone so thought maybe you get runes depending on how many people the player has beaten or how many times you have died to them

                                    • Coming from fighting games, duel etiquettes are the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's like low ranked players in fighting games making up their own rules like no throws or no spamming. It's hilarious.

PSA if you use this item (or summon someone with it) you will be absolutely rekt if you use a healing flask. Dot heal in duels. Heal in invasions but not in duels.

Does the duelist finger take level into account? Many fights I've had were against a host with 2k hp, full poise armor and weapons that hit for 500-700 per attack. The character I'm trying to PvP on is level 80 with +17 weapons, and I just feel so weak compared to many of my opponents.

                                          • Anonymous

Do not summon duelists if you do not want to 1v1.
We are not invading, or getting in your way. Do not get in ours. Im tired of being summoned to gank squads and scumbags with overleveled phantoms. So now i and many other duelists just host and use taunters tongue instead.
                                            Gank invaders not duelists.

They should enable duelist furled finger in Placidusax's arena after you kill that boss. It's so wide, flat, symmetric, and so fps-friendly

Hey, invaders talking about a FAIR FIGHT. Here. Use this. Its what you want right? A fair fight? You know, without hordes of enemies for you to hide behind?

                                                • Anonymous

i feel like there should be a special variant like the gladiators furled finger, and if you accept, you get transported to one of the coliseums closest to where you accept it. maybe when you write the summon sign, you can choose a number of runes to wager in the fight or something. have a set number of weapons to equip, or maybe "embodiment of the warrior" and it gives you a sword and shield loadout with other "embodiments" to make use of the coliseums.

                                                  • Not sure if many people know about this, but when I get summoned there is a 5-10 second invincibility where my hitbox is not there. You attack and kill hosts without any problem during that time or return to your own world.

                                                    • Anonymous

If I summon my friend as a duelist with a code and he’s lv 120 with max level weapons and I’m lv 80 with lv 17 weapons, will his stats be scaled down to mine?

                                                      • Anonymous

I'm surprised no one has bothered to calculate the working level range of items like these. Lots of people are arbitrarily deciding on a meta level when we don't even know the actual numbers involved in duels and invasions. Is the range +-10% of your level? Does weapon upgrade level come into play?

                                                        • Anonymous

applying buffs is considered part of the duel and is okay to punish. stop biatching about it. I will not stand idle while you seppuku yourself for a instant blood loss on me

Anyone know if it works with friends? I've gotten the regular finger to work for co op but I haven't figured out how to duel my buddy
