Small Red Effigy is a Multiplayer Item in Elden Ring. Multiplayer Items allow players to interact with each other in various ways, including leaving messages for other players to read, co-operative gameplay and competitive gameplay like PVP.
Item for online play.
(Can also be used from the Multiplayer menu.)
Send a competitive summon sign to several nearby summoning pools (activated pools only).
In competitive multiplayer, your objective will be to defeat the Host of Fingers of the world to which you were summoned.

AnonymousIt would be cool if there was a version of this similar to Nito's covenant from DS1, sending a random sign to a players summoning pool and cursing their world with extra difficulty.

Unfortunately some hosts will spam summon any sign without noticing whether it’s yellow or red. I’ve seen hosts accidentally summon duelists and attack them as if they’re invaders.

This is a great game mode post-1.06 if you send your sign near/far. Lots of activity and variety.

completely worthless. most "duelists" will just park in front of the prawn shack with rune arcs and max estus to duel invaders.

If you do not want to 1v1 STOP SUMMONING DUELISTS. You want to gank? Gank invaders. Leave duelists alone.
I think these signs most of the time appear under coop signs on summoning pools so you can't summon them.

Very useless since it does not give rune arcs. Reward is just underwhelming

Ganking duelists near bosses made this thing useless. Shame, it was a good item.
