Nox Flowing Hammer is a Hammer in Elden Ring. The Nox Flowing Hammer scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for breaking through guards and stances. This weapon is ideal for delivering powerful strikes against enemies with a strong guard.
Mace shaped like a suspended metal droplet wielded by monks of the Eternal City.
Forged from liquid metal from a Silver Tear, it is thoroughly tempered until hardened.
Where to Find Nox Flowing Hammer in Elden Ring
The Nox Flowing Hammer weapon can be found at the following location:
- From the Night Sacred Ground Site of Grace in Nokron, go up the stairs to your right. You should find yourself in a room with two Night Maidens and a Sphere Silver Tear. Slay these enemies, then ascend a ladder to the back right of the room. Go down the path to the right of the altar to where you see a Fanged Imp Statue Fog Wall. Turn right about halfway down the hallway and you should see a Roof Path out a window with a single Silver Tear. Head to the shingled section of the roof to find a single, unbarred window. Jump through that window to find the Nox Flowing Hammer. [Elden Ring Map here] Video Location
Elden Ring Nox Flowing Hammer Notes & Tips
- Weapon Skill: Flowing Form
- This weapon cannot be infused with Ashes of War
- Can't be buffed with Magic or Consumables
- Nox Flowing Hammer can be upgraded by using Somber Smithing Stones
- Wielded but not dropped by Nox Monks.
- Nox Monks seem to be able to turn this weapon into two spiked shields that resemble Pierce Shields from Dark Souls, or into a large silver manifer for a single close-range smashing attack (though this is rare). Unfortunately, the player can not do either of these with the Nox Flowing Hammer.
- Sell Value: 200
- NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed and distance of some attacks have been increased and the recovery time has been reduced. While the poise damage of Hammers has been reduced, Poise damage when attacking with two-handed Hammers has been increased.

listen i get why you can't put bloodflame blade on this thing but at least let me buff it with scholar's armament...

I got destroyed in a duel because I wasn't expecting this thing, never seen anyone use it

All the invaders still upset about the Stormhawk axe nerf should just use this.
The skill isn't OP but it does knock down gankers if they all rush you. I was able to take down a gank squad that had full DLC gear at level 80.

"From the Night Sacred Ground Site of Grace in Nokron[...]"
There is no "Night's Sacred Ground" site of grace anywhere. The closest gracepoint to the Night's Sacred Ground location is the 'Ancestral Woods' site of grace, so I assume that's what is meant here. This gracepoint and Night's Sacred Ground are both located in Siofra River, not Nokron. Nokron is a separate place from Night's Sacred Ground. Both are points of interest inside Siofre, like how two separate cities exist within the same state but are still different and separate locations.

How is this the shortest hammer? It looks like one of the longest, way longer than the pick. It has to be a mistake

Very underrated in my opinion. On my lvl 120 str build I have 700 AR and its a strike damage, the moveset is quick and the weapon skill is fantastic.

This would have been one of the coolest weapons in the game if it transformed like in the fight encounter. Could have been a true quality weapon in scaling and design, a bit bloodborne-like.
- Anonymous
i wish we could get the fist weapons that the monks that use this have, i'm not scared of this thing. but those fists are some nightmares to deal with.
- Anonymous
I think this at least deserves to be buffable because it's kinda bland the way it currently is, feels more like an auxiliary weapon than a primary
- Anonymous
If only the skill was chargeable. Only one swing is pathetic. I would've expected 2-3 when charged.

I would absolutely main this thing if I could use Grease on it, but for some reason I can't at all, which baffles me a bit.
Bloodhound fang - A Somber weapon with unique ash of war; Can be buffed.
Treespear - A Somber weapon with split elemental damage and a self buffing Ash of war; Can be buffed.
This and the Nox Flowing sword - The exact same concepts; Can't be buffed.

Could've been a Tonitrus of this game if buffable, shame really. Still fun to use and pretty powerful honestly.

It's a hammer, yet a whip... Hamwhip? Whipammer? Whihamper?... what do I call this thing???
- Anonymous
Reminds me a bit of the Gargoyle tail from Dark Souls with the goofy, droopy design. Also, the fact that there is no flail with a similar weapon art is about as wank as this saggy bellend. Dammit Fromsoft.

Really should have been an Arcane weapon. The mask made from the exact same thing gives you +8 points.

In a better world this would have been a non-bleed flail with maybe a special moveset.

Honestly surprised this thing has such little Dex scaling. I always imagined that both of the Flowing weapons would be either quality or dex-based considering how fancy they are. Probably makes this one of the fanciest strength weapons because of that.
- Anonymous
The weapon art on this thing is one of the best counters to the halberd’s running R1. Keep those pokers back nice and far.
- Anonymous
Would be real cool if this powerstanced with the flowing sword... :(

You can get aim punched while using the weapon art of this thing, Elden Ring at its best

I'm not sure if this is obvious or not, but the weapon art deals strike damage on impact as well, just like the normal attacks.

Good for Crystillians, especially when facing 2 or more at once.

This thing is interesting to say the least. The ash is deceptively strong and has very long range for a melee skill. First part comes out quick and will bully anyone not in a large weapon attack animation into a flinch followed by the 2nd hit being almost garanteed. Very good again anything trying to create space from you to cast, heal, or run
- Anonymous
good at punishing people who just spam running pokes with hts or halberds. with shard of alexander you'll basically always win the trade
- Anonymous
So what's the trick to consistently hitting an intended target? The weapon art on the flowing sword travels in a sweeping, sideways arc that can't miss and can damage multiple targets. But when I try using the skill on this hammer it sort of comes down at an angle and it seems to require an enemy to stand still in a relatively small area to land the attack
- Anonymous
trolling spear & halberd user with this since day one, so much fun.

Next build plan:
- Get two of these
- Become John Santos
- Play the maracas

True Chads go to Nokron with a Stonesword Key in their hand, stride past the Mimic Tear chest and only pick up the Nox Flowing Hammer.

I'm using this as an offhand option for my Roar build. If you hit with the first part of Flowing Form you're very likely (unless they have ungodly poise) to hit with the second on players. However if you whiff, Flowing Form has a VERY long recovery time, nearly two seconds of you just standing there as the weapon reverts to it's original shape. You will be punished if you miss.
In PvE the extra range can be handy to sneak some extra hits in when you otherwise wouldn't be able to. Just mind the recovery time.
A handy tool for any melee build that would otherwise lack any range.

I've been using this weapon in PvP and PvE a lot recently, and I can with confidence say it's amazing.
The reach is a bit garbage (it's the shortest of any hammer) but that is more than made up for by its weapon art, Flowing Form. Flowing Form hits for well over 1000 damage with Shard of Alexander and no other buffs, has really good range and a really quick recovery. The weapon art has two successive hits -- the first is a big horizontal AoE sweep, the second is a vertical slam. The first hit seems to deal high poise damage to players, making it very hard to tank through it. I don't know how much exactly, but some guy clad in the full Tree Sentinel Set (which yields 60 poise) flinched from the first hit. The second hit will outright pancake the victim like the Zweihänder in DS1 did, which is just hilarious. The second hit appears to be guaranteed if the player is not able to poise through the first one.

Slightly annoys me that the version we have is slightly bent, while the one the Monks use is straight.

Am i the only one who never noticed this for several runs? I always take every character to Nokron for the mimic tear and Ghostflame torch then clear the sacred grounds for the sake of it since i love testing my current build on the Silver Tears at the bottom. Yet i didnt notice this item or the path to it Until like my 8th character.

Just want to clear up a typo, this weapon CANNOT be enchanted with magic like Bloodflame Blade, (element) Armament, or items like Fire Grease

The AoW was perfect for farming Banished Knights. Specially for the dual GS one.
- Anonymous
My build leaves me a combined 100 points between strength and dexterity. 641 AR at 90 strength/10 dexterity (upgraded to +10, one-handed), 648 at 80/20, 636 at 70/30, 623 at 60/40 and obviously dropping off even more the more you favour dexterity over strength from there on. Unsurprisingly, a weapon that gets B scaling with strength and D scaling with dexterity benefits the most from pumping strength to the softcap and then putting the remaining points into dexterity.
- Anonymous
nothing so readily embodies the injustice in how wack the weapon design for the players is in this game as not being able to do the big DUNK the nox monks can do to you. actual travesty.
- Anonymous
Me: "Woohoo! I can recreate the Drang Hammers, but better!"
From: *One per playthrough*

Would be cool if two-handing it split it into the shields the monks use.

I love hitting Rivers of Blood users mid weapon-art with this hammer's weapon art and seeing them understand that they can't just press a single button to win.

This is a really cool hammer. I wish I had an IRL version of it with the Stretchy Liquid Metal and what not. Oh well... Maybe one day some genius will come along and make one.

At the bottom of the page says “can be enchanted with magic or boosted with consumables.” It cannot

This weapon is good purely for the fact that you get to smack most enemies' faces into the dirt and laugh about it every time.
- Anonymous
the fact that this stun locks people so they get hit by the second move makes this actually really good lmfao
- Anonymous
The scaling on this thing is broken. It beats any other hammer in terms of physical AR no matter the affinity or stat level. Which is weird, because you'd think quality Hammers would eventually outscale it as it's most stat efficient at 80str/20dex. If you're powerstancing hammers, I see no reason why you'd use any other hammer in your offhand. Maybe Stone club for the poise damage or spiked club for bleed, but you'd have to go pretty far into strength and dex to even come close.

The Nox Monks can turn this into dual small spiked shields but we can't :(

surprised this wasnt in the flail category, it really should have been. BUT this isnt Dark Souls. i miss the unique movesets
for boss weapons so it didnt just feel like the same weapon as the other, but with a gimmick.

This is the sleeper weapon of the game.
At + 10 and 55 STR/ 20 DEX gives me 651 AR, two-handed of course.
Weapon art destroys Rivers of Blood as well.

Not normal stones as erroneously stated.

Flowing Form (AoW)'s damage is moderately low considering the FP cost; it will do around 1,000 damage per 16 FP, which is somewhat expensive for such output.
However, its stagger power and reach is immense. The first hit will stagger, and the second hit downs tough customers such as Banished Knights.
The best part of Flowing Form, is that it can attack enemies through walls without the weapon recoiling, even if the user is within touching distance to the wall.
As such, the weapon works best when there's a wall in the combat scene. You can kill ambushes, harass enemies from safety, and use guard-counter to remove any survivors.
I dont know how they got the Nox flowing sword weapon art so wrong but got this one so right.

This is your Rivers of Blood counter right here. With the weapon art it catches them off guard.

This does take somber smithing stones. Also one of the few "unique" weapons that works with a pure strength build.

okay so the slam of the weapon art will pancake people if they get hit without blocking. And you can free aim the slam down. It also seems like hitting the swing guarantees the slam to hit on players.
That being said it can be rolled through but due to the range you can use it to counter weapon arts that have a bit of a longer duration, such as waterfowl dance from Hand of Malenia, or corpsepiler from Rivers of Blood.
The damage of the weapon however isn't particularly high, but it can definitely work well in PvP.
This feels like a sock with coins that my mom user to beat me with
