Restores HP when near death in mixed physick.

Crimson Bubbletear is a Crystal Tear in Elden Ring. Crystal Tears can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick to enhance its effect.

A crystal tear formed slowly over the ages where the Erdtree's bounty falls to the ground.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick.
The resulting concoction automatically heals one's HP in the moment before death.

However, this effect only occurs once, and will expire after a certain duration.

Elden Ring Crimson Bubbletear Notes & Tips

  • Restores ⌊MaxHP * 0.3⌋ Health when below 21% health
  • Effect lasts for 3 minutes or when the HP restoration triggers
  • Will NOT PREVENT DEATH from damage that would otherwise kill the player

  • You can find Crystal Tears at the bases of Minor Erdtrees and elsewhere throughout the Lands Between
  • At sites of grace, you can mix two crystal tears in the Flask of Wondrous Physick (This will allow you to create elixirs with various custom effects)

Knowing how frequent getting caught in a blender when fighting ganks, I think having this in your flask is so essential to get a second chance at surviving all those spammy attacks and spells. You know the deal, this is the ideal tear for us Dark Souls 3 enjoyers.

Pvp sweaters coping mechanism. Look I don't even mind heals in pvp, I'll just follow what the other person's doing. But why do these hardcore pvp'ers use a flask that heals half their lifebar (instant/passive heal too, which is even worse) but still act like it's not a heal fight? Real chad pvp'ers use Windy Crystal Tear, because at least it requires a timed (skill) input to get benefits from

Does this thing not work outside of PvP ? Like I constantly die while under the effect if I’m fighting a boss or even just strong enemies ?

WHy my comment got deleted? I did write it normal without strange language or something wtf is wrong with this wiki lmao.

This tear is worthless in ng+7 pve runs, i am now at ng10+ and every Boss at starting mid lvl 2 shots me, so better use another tear which gives you more benefit.

              Just picked up this item, thought it worked like the Tears of Denial spell from Dark Souls, oh how disappointed I was ;-;

              • This (in a sense) gives you 30% more health on the condition that you don't get one-shot / die from an attack while you are still above 20.1% of your maximum health. This is a fairly powerful effect, but it's even stronger at lower levels (Rune Level 60 or below.) If you ever want to feel like an unkillable god, you should use this with the Crimsonburst Crystal Tear (the one that regenerates health) with 60 Vigor, the Crimson Amber Medallion + Erdtree's Favor, alongside some Boiled Crab / one of the Elemental Fortification incantations.

It is so glitched for me, 8 out of 10 times I don't get any sort of health back, I rather have anything else in its place.

One of my favorite tears to use. It usually procs when I use it and it has saved me from dying so many times. You have to consider that there a lots of combo moves in this game, like waterfowl dance for example and it can save you from those 2-4 hit kills that feel like one hit kills.

I hard counter the passive regen+crimson bubble tear combo with erdtree heal. Triple rings+carian phalanx or golden land are free heal casts. They heal with flask, I got incantations. Finger sever if they chug. Block if they whine. The kind of people who play that dirty in a simple duel are definitely people I don’t want to invade, coinvade with or be invaded by anyways. I don’t think it’s a coincidence they all run dual lance, double straight sword or crag blade/quickstep cleanrot either

                      • Anonymous

makes fights last longer (sometimes) therefore i say its honorable in duels. nobody wants to get killed in one combo (can still happen with this) and ER damage values are insane.

lmao how are you people mad about this? its literally just worse than crimson crystal tear, less heal with a conditional requirement and cant be stacked. its useless lmao

                          • Anonymous

this tear is worthless. lots of times i've died certain that it hadn't triggered yet. now after going to the wiki page, i know it doesn't work as described. "automatically before death" must mean something else in japan.

Tears of denial was fine in duels. Morgott’s rune in your flask is not. I’m looking at you, fat neck beards, playing as an attractive female in scaled armor with cheese set ups.

This tear stacked on regen/heavy armor can give 60% or more bonus health on a 2 minute duel. To be clear, regen tear gives 420 hp per minute. 2140hp is 60 vigor with every life boost talisman: plus 420 hp per minute of dueling plus 642 hp from morgotts rune tear all amplified by 35% abs for heavy armor... we’re actually reaching higher than 60% bonus hp if the fight lasts 2 minutes. And buffs could put you at 40-45% abs in pvp. Do you think the fight is still fun at the 2 minute mark? I wanna fight the next guy already, not basically kill you a third time once the tears gone and you swap to red/blue feather talismans and fish for thrust counter trade just to tie... speaking from experience.

In the end, if the pop a wonderous, you pop a wonderous. That’s my rule in a duel. If you pop a Regression, then so be it. If you buff, I won’t use regression (because my build won’t allow it lol, plus even if I was an intelligence build, I would use other spells.). Duels are meant to be fair.

When you pretend to go no physicks duel and you drink it near death to immediately heal that counts as standard flask chug then

                                  • Anonymous

So basically its just 30% overheal for three minutes. Definitely one of the better tears that anyone could use.

                                    • Anonymous

Not sure how I feel about this. On one hand we had Tears of Denial in DS3. On the other hand this is not only stronger because it heals, but it doesn't even require any stat investment or spell slots. Completely removes flexibility from choosing what Wondrous Physick to use, because if you don't have this one: you are at a huge disadvantage

There is no such thing as honor, only victory and defeat. If you emote, I'm buffing. If you're buffing, I'm shooting arrows. I'm here to win the duel. If you don't like that, well, I don't really care. Eat it.

                                        • Anonymous

Fine during a duel on a case by case basis.

There should be no problem if somebody with less damage negation than you, no buffs/buildup and only skill drinks it during your duel. Though I can see why people find it distasteful when summoned against a meta build and buildup/buffs yet finds it cute to tack on this physick.

I used to hate going up against this physick when using my hybrid builds, as it felt like I have to outplay people so much to go through 2700+ worth of health and like 90% of community seems to use this physick. Now that I switched to a pure build that can do 1k+ worth of quick burst damage, vast majority of the time I can kill people without their crimson bubbletear ever activating.

This is just Tears of Denial on steroids, We used it in Ds3 duels all the time i dont get what fuss is all about.

                                              • Anonymous

I have about 1200-ish duels (based on the amount of furl calling fingers I have), let me give my insight into the debate on this tear.

I think it is fine when people use it because, unlike estus, each player only has one. I have been obliterated many times with it and without it. Yes, you can mistake it for an estus when used below 20% health, but drinking your tear flask also takes much longer. So, I would not consider this dishonorable. Also, IF your enemy can pull this off and not die, that probably means you gave them too much space or got outplayed.

THIS tear is not tryhard at all (depending on what your definition is, pvp is competitive by nature), because : 1. Its not irrefutably better than any other tear. 2. It does not prevent death. 3. it does not activate on demand. 4. It can be cleansed.
Thank you, don't forget to dislike.

You drink it before the fight? Ok, you're tryharding, but fair enough. But if you drink it while near death and get instantly healed - then you're pathetic

                                                  • Anonymous

The game needs to have more items like this; about 99% of duels in this game last a minute or less and this item helps change that. You can always tell when your opponent has it active so you can drink your mixed physick aswell, and it can only be used once per duel so there's no spamming it unlike red estus.

                                                    • Anonymous

I have this on my Physick BUT I never use Physick FIRST and only use it after the opponent uses it. So that should have no complaints at that point.

                                                      • Anonymous

To everyone saying "DON'T USE THIS IN DUELS, IT'S JUST LIKE RED FLASK," please stop and think for a sec, because you're wrong. We don't use red flasks in duels because the host has twice as many, which is not fair. But EVERYONE gets ONE physick flask, and can use it how they want. Glad we cleared this up.

                                                        • Anonymous

Killing someone with a strong attack when they are at low hp before they get to activate this is satisfying.

This doesn't belong in pvp. Straight up healing. Anyone using this is no different than chugging a regular red flask at low health in a duel.

You clowns are out your minds. This tear is my go-to for PvP. A no-requirement Tears of Denial that heals you (so you don't get plinked by the crazy amount of fast damage like Fan Daggers) but doesn't make +21% overkill damage completely pointless (STR and glass cannon builds will appreciate this).

                                                                • Anonymous

Tears of denial was far better and you guys seem to be freaking out more about this. It's just a free (but not full) heal not a death prevention. You can still burst someone down who is at 21% hp to 0 hp with strong damage.

                                                                  • Anonymous

This tear has very limited use. You have to get below 20% for this to proc. There's plenty of bosses that can hit you for around 50% to 75% of your health in one hit of a combo and then finish you off with the next hit, causing you to completely miss the window this item needs to proc. The only times this is useful is in situations where you get hit for about 90% of your health from a powerful boss and they don't follow up for a second hit, and you have time to use your own healing flash because if they can hit you for 90% of your health, healing back up 30% probably won't save you from the next hit.

                                                                    • Anonymous

Especially if you dont really have any use for any of the elemental attack crystal tears, good pair with opaline bubbletear

                                                                      • Anonymous

                                                                        • Anonymous

I've seen people tanking Malenia's super swipes with that thing but idk what it is.

                                                                            • Anonymous

It's also obtainable on a corpse on a cliff just above the Giant's Gravepost grace. If you're aiming Southeast from the site of grace, it's on the cliff where gravestones are jutting out of the side of the cliff. Best way to get there is to start at the Foot of the Forge grace and keep running North past the giants and giant hands, eventually you'll start descending the mountain and come to a 'dead end' which you can shimmy around a ledge with two little hands guarding the path and end up in front of the corpse with the crimson bubbletear on it.

                                                                              • Anonymous

Never noticed the healing at all; you'd be better off using the regen one instead since it will actually save you.

                                                                                • Anonymous

                                                                                  • Anonymous
